Had some legitimate concerns regarding our first (and now last) visit. I tried to reach out for clarification because I am new to the grooming world so I thought maybe I needed some helpful advice related to expectations. I reached out to salon the same day and 4 days later have yet to get a return call. I’m confident if I called for an appointment I’d get immediate help. Anyway, I will say my dog looked better after the session than she did when I dropped her off but based on the full service package description I read I don’t feel we got the level of service to justify $120something dollars, with tip $140something. I will give credit where it is due and as I mentioned my dog did look better but there were some things that I would have loved to question & discuss. Due to the lack of response and concern I’ve realized it’s apparently about quantity vs quality. I researched many grooming locations and chose this one based on reviews but not everyone has the same experience. I just hate that I wasn’t lucky enough to have been a part of the majority group. ☹️

I am not happy with this place at all after my granddog went to get a haircut on 6-13-23. He is a golden doodle who has the same cut each time. They messed up his cut so bad especially on his leg as you see in the picture below. My son talked to the manager to try to make this right because it was their fault they gave him the cut of another golden doodle who was there at the same time we know that because they called my son prior to him picking him up when they realized the mistake they made. But the manager stated a service was performed and a service you have to pay for. I was able to finally speak with the owner who did make this right in the end and did return the money. You will see in the pictures below how bad the cut was verses how he should look.

I’ve been using them for almost a year now. Haven’t had any issues other than getting bit by a dog (wasn’t their fault at all) I will continue to bring my fur baby here. As soon as we pull up he’s excited. That’s says a lot about a grooming appointment. Kudos to the crew.

I took my new 10 month old Sheepadoodle here and he had some matted hair on his stomach and ears area. I requested a bath and cut and added the de-Matt service for him. I put in the notes and told them in person I would like a Teddy Bear cut and if they need to shave the stomach and ears, I understood but that I will pay extra for the de-Matt service especially since this breed has an undercoat and shaving them is really bad for them. When I went to pick him up, they completely shaved him without talking to me first. His head was half shaved as you can see from the pictures and looked very choppy and unprofessional. I didn’t say anything at first as I was in shock, but I called right after I left and had time to process and eventually the owner called me later. She told me her groomer said they told me they would have to cut him “short”. Short and shaved are two completely different things to me. And the groomer said his hair was too matted to work through (I’ve been brushing him every night and been able to de-matt most of his hair). Obviously shaving him was the easier option for the groomer. She offered to have me come back in and have her head groomer fix his choppy face and offered a bow tie for my troubles (which they didn’t put on him and doesn’t account for shaving him without notifying me). When I went in for them to fix it, the same guy who groomed him greeted me and asked what was wrong and what I didn’t like. I had to point out half his head was shaved and nothing was even. I’m not sure if he’s the one who fixed him, but I was promised their head groomer and not sure if that’s who I got. The last picture is the fixed haircut which looks better. I wasn’t planning to write this, but after picking him up after they fixed his haircut he wasn’t acting like himself and acting a little scared. I don’t know what happened when they fixed his hair. Just be careful if you go here as I did not have a good experience and obviously he didn’t either as he’s acting scared now. There’s before, choppy cut, and after pictures for reference.

We've actually been using this place for several years without too much issue for boarding/grooming services. There was one boarding incident where 1 of our 2 dogs came back with a ton of scabs on his back, but did not get any clarification on that issue.However, yesterday we took our two Brittany's in for a walk-in nail trim. While we were waiting, I witnessed D (just using her first initial) leave a dog unattended on the grooming table. For clarification, these grooming tables are raised a good distance from the ground, and the dog is only secured by a cord around their necks. When she got to our second dog, she immediately clipped a huge chunk of one of his nails off, which caused a TON of bleeding (the quick was not knicked, it was cut into very badly). She then proceeded to leave him unattended to look for additional supplies. He started to twist around with the cord around his neck and proceeded to fall off the table. He was literally hanging by his neck. This could have ended very badly (crushed windpipe, broken neck, death). Best case scenario, D has a lack of common sense practices/ignorance and worst case, a sense of indifference to her job. Either way, I doubt this was the first instance of something like this, as my dog was second in a row she left by itself on the table. I don't really leave reviews, but in this case people should be informed about the environment they are leaving their pets in.People love their animals and pay good money for these services. When the level of care and respect you are paying for is not given, it's infuriating. Makes me wonder what happens when the customer is not around to watch.

Makayla always does an awesome job cutting my dog’s hair. I drive quite a distance from the Lebanon area but it is well worth the trip. NO ONE has done as great of a job on him as Makayla has. She is a sweetheart too!

Not satisfied with our experience today. Emma our sheepadoodle has been coming to Doggies Day Out since we got her at 6 months, she is now 3 years old. And I’ve only had one situation two years ago. As of late, it seems like the past three times I’ve been unhappy with either de-matting cost, and not applying the exact cut I explained, her ears were not tapered down and cut low as I asked, her mouth clearly wasn’t trimmed own, and her feet were also not cut down. She was washed and blow dried, but not the mini groom I would like Emma to have. I paid 122.00 for a mini groom. That’s a 42.00 of unexplained cost to what the website’s estimated cost of 80.12. I am not happy and will be looking for another groomer for Emma, if this is not corrected as front desk associate advised it would be by owner.

We’ve been coming here for a few years. Today probably being the last unfortunately. I get it places are short staffed, but it’s not that hard to communicate that to your customers. It took them over 3 hours to bathe my chihuahua. She came home not even fully dry too. After the recent price increase I can’t justify this anymore. It has also came to my attention that whoever the older lady is at the front desks is extremely rude. My husband heard her complaining about another customer in front of him. We will be giving our business to someone who actually appreciates it and doesn’t have a terrible attitude moving forward. If you’re in customer service or own your own business, this isn’t how to treat your paying customers. It also makes me extremely nervous them being short staffed and having someone there who has an awful attitude around my dog. How doI know when that my dog was watched after properly? She’s a small dog so something could’ve easily happened. Glad all of this came to light today before something happened to our dog.

We had our 4 Yorkies groomed and they look Fantastic! We will definitely be back and never go anywhere else. Thank you for the pictures and taking great care of them. We could not be more pleased!!!

Took my 2 pups to get a "mini groom". Was told they would trim the face, paws, hygeine areas, and shape up eyebrows. It took a few minutes to even see a difference. Looks like a trim between the eyebrows. They did bathe them and trim the nails. But for 65 each, I am highly disappointed. Would not recommend. Will not be back. People seemed friendly. For some reason Google isn't allowing me to post a before and after.

Makayla did a great job taking care of our baby! She’s the first groomer in her whole life who has been able to clip all of her toenails for us and she came home feeling happy whereas in past experiences she has come home seeming very nervous and anxious

I haven't seen so many different breed of dogs all in one area and without them fighting before a couple weeks ago. The atmosphere is calming and there is no aggression with the dogs. The trainer Elias is doing a wonderful job in redirecting the pups and keeping them as safe and comfortable as he can. I believe all these pups will learn a lot under Elias command in due time. Keep up the good training Elias. I know all the pet owners are happy with how the dogs are learning new things.

I’ve been bringing my baby, Ruby, here for well over a year and I have had nothing but good things to say about this place!! The staff is always amazing and very friendly. I have never used the groomers because my dog has short hair already and there is no need when I can give her a bath. However, the boarding/daycare experience is always phenomenal. I often have to request a one-night boarding stay with little notice and they are always willing to take her in. I’ve never been anywhere else with her and she always comes home tired and worn out! I would give Doggie’s Day Out 10 stars if I could!!!

Update:I wish I could give them 10 stars. I dropped my precious Luke whom is my service dog off for a bath. They were half what I pay at home and actually DID not just clip his nails but used a grinder on them. My boy was so so fresh and clean. He had the softest fur ever even my father commented on how well he felt. Luke got to socialize and play with other dogs which I think is WONDERFUL. He works for me as a service dog and sometimes I like to take a break so I know he wanted a small break and get to just be with others like him. Y'all have definitely developed a repeat customer. Bad reviews on here is just people that are grumpy and don't appreciate life and the small things in my opinion. This company has beyond serviced me well especially when I will now make it a point to use y'all everytime I visit from Virginia!I will most definitely be back. Reasonable rates. Close to my therapy and Toot's. They we're so awesome my wonderful Luke loved it and he's a service dog and normally he's somewhat picky over the places he will let bathe him.

I went to Doggies Day out for the first time today with high hopes. My dog was there for 5 hours which is normal, however, when I picked her up she looked the exact same. They said my dog was nervous so they could not do the full groom and that’s okay. However, it was stil $100 for the half groom. That is insane. The only difference they made was bathing her and trimmed her in some areas. I completely understand my dogs temperament, but if you can not perform the work call me and let me know and I will gladly pick my baby up. Also, they claimed they “trimmed her nails” , but yet again I did not notice any difference. I apologize for my dog being difficult, but just let me know next time before you charge me $100 to give my dog a bath. I will never be coming back and would send my dog anywhere else but there. 0/10 do not recommend unless you enjoy poor service and $100 for a bath.

Staff is very friendly, but… their ‘parking’ is lacking and it’s right on a 4 lane hwy way too close for me having an untrained puppy. I didn’t feel safe, cause if they break their lead or collar they could easily be hit by a car. I’m not comfortable with that at all.

Love, love, love this place! Fergus gets so excited when he sees we are going to Doggies Day Out. He has his play group that he hangs out with. All the employees go out of their way to make us feel special. You can tell they love the dogs.

After watching Elias work I'm very confident my dogs will be in great hands. He keeps the yard very calm and peaceful so my pups won't come home with unnecessary injuries. Great service

My appointment was at 9:30 am. At 2:30 pm I called to check the status of my dog. At 3:00 I left to get him whether he was done or not. At 3:07 I got a text that my dog was ready. Gizmo is 15.5 years old shih tzu so it shouldn't take 5.5 hours to groom him. We won't be going back. The last 3 appointments have taken longer than the previous one. It isn't fait to keep a dog for that long with nothing to eat!

I’m usually quite pleased with the cut my terrier mix receives, but this time wasn’t great. His whiskers were shaved, ears left long and was a nick on the side of his neck- he was completely gun shy for about a week after his visit.

First and last visit. I set the appointment up specifically to get my dogs ears plucked as the last groomer couldn’t do it. I made myself very clear that was the priority and reason for scheduling a grooming session was the ears. Picked him up and was told they only got the ears half done because he didn’t like it, and I should have my Vet do it. Off to a Vet today to finish the job after wasting time and money at Doggies Day Out. Got charged for a bandana I didn’t ask for. Also saw 2 dogs in the parking area OFF LEASH at 4pm right next to a very busy road, so no chance I’d ever let him go to their Doggie Day Care after seeing that.

I’m very picky and have high standards when it comes to my dog’s care. I brought my dog in for a temperament assessment for boarding. Summer was very friendly and answered all of my questions. My initial evaluation was positive and most importantly, my dog appeared happy.. I will use their boarding services in the future.
