Very helpful staff. The store is organized chaos as every square inch is packed full!!! They had everything I needed jammed in there. It was nice to not have to hit the “big box” stores. I will return.

I was driving through Mountain City in search of some camp firewood…no one had any left. I turned into True Value in MC and I can’t tell you how nice every was. As SOON as I walked in the door I was asked how I could be helped, had a nice conversation, and Steve ended up hooking me up with some wood even though they didn’t have any out front. Such a pleasure to have friendly helpful service! A far cry from this big box stores. I highly recommend them as a quality hardware store and especially recommend you patronize a local business..these are hard times and I know they could use your help!

The place has a lot of variety and the staff is very knowledgeable but getting Around in this place can be a challenge. It's cluttered. Really. The store needs to be twice the size it is to hold all the merchandise in it.

They have anything a person needs. I have wen many times and the staff always very nice to me. I loved their Christmas decorations at night that made the store very inviting and they have lots of Christmas items to sell. It have been to many Hardware Stores but none as unique as this one!

Cluttered. Very unorganized.Stood nearly 20 minutes waiting to check out while there was five teenagers hanging in the register area.In Mountain City is truly my last resort of places to go for any type of supplies

We did have an issue. After several trips I'm confident that Carl is taking care of us! We've always always thought the world of Carl he's a wonderful person. He did go above what he should have to make sure our mix up was taken care of. At one point I did leave a bad review out of agravation and I do apologize because like I said we've always LIKED Carl. He one time contacted someone he knows late at night after store hours to help us with a water leak. Also he opened the store after hours to help us Or family out before. He's a stand up guy! We need more people in our community like him! I honestly do apologize from the bottom of my heart

Had a broken water line to a rv sink. Manager explained what I needed, and how to do it. Fix went smoothly. Store is packed, so ask someone, they will instantly help you find what your looking for.

That place has has a little bit of everything and it just never fails they don't ever have the main thing I'm after but they can get it. So this place for sure earns a four star for those reasons alone. They are reasonably priced and very nice employees that are always willing to help. I couldn't ask for much more from a hardware store.

I have been shopping here at this hardware store for many years. This is by far the best hardware store I have ever been in. My line of work has me in different areas of the country and I often find myself having to visit hardware stores for my line of work. I only wish every hardware store was like this one. It is hard to believe that a store of this caliber is in such a small town. I hope this town knows how fortunate they are to have True Value in Mountain City.

I love having Tru Value so close and so helpful! If they don't carry something in the store you can just order it online and have it shipped to the store, no problem!

Little disappointed that I couldn't trade out a belt for a lawnmower today for my next door neighbor. The girl there was trying to help me. Just don't understand why I couldn't swap out for the right belt.

The people at American Hardware are very helpful with their their advice and the service is always first rate.The store has a variety of products that aren't available elsewhere and they are very good about getting new products that customers request.
