I like shopping at Food Lion. They generally have everything I need. And I really like a lot of the Food Lion brand dairy products. However, they don't always have their own products in stock. For example, mozzella cheese sticks - aka string cheese. I haven't seen them in the store in many weeks. How do you not have your own products in stock?

ok…i didn’t know the name was literal ,they have a 10 foot tall lion that will pick your children up and rip them into little chunks if you don’t fill out the survey on the receipt . prices were solid however

It's ok. It's a small food lion but !!!!! It's better than the one in Gastonia which you'd think from it being a lot larger city it would be better but it's not. This one is a lot better than that one. Which this one could be better also. But it's still a nice place.

It's a clean store and considering it's in a small town, the selection is pretty decent. My one complaint would be that sale prices are not always in the system. And unless you check your receipt before leaving, you won't know you've been charged the regular price instead of the sale price. Edit.. don't get the fried chicken from the deli. It's a lot of breading and bone and very little meat. Also not completely cooked.

Good stock the majority of the time. Store brand items are great. Prices are not terrible. Nice employees. Never packed in there. Fresh produce. A much better choice than Mountain City's weird grocery competitor "Food Country". Wanted to throw in that Food Lion brand ice cream is really tasty.

The store was clean and cashiers helpful.We were surprised to find choices for organic food egg, produce, yogurt and other items. Could have a better choice for milk, but overall good.

The store is clean and well stocked. The parking area is large . The staff are friendly and helpful. The prices are what you would expect. The food lion loyalty card system is cumbersome but does seem to save you some money.

I found everything I needed, though it required digging through the broccoli to find some that wasn’t beat up.The store was clean. The staff was friendly. Every open lane had 2-3 customers waiting, but check out went fairly quickly. There was no self-check out.There is currently some sort of upgrade/remodeling going on, so the bakery/ deli area is closed until 6/18/21.

Direction s lead to a backroad, but it's actually on the main road. Good place in the area, decent balance of good and healthy and cheap.

Food Lion employees work hard to keep the store clean and neat. They are helpful with anything I need. Today I used some great coupons they mailed to me and saved a bunch! If you need to pick up groceries without going inside they offer that service, as well.

Store is clean. Bathroom is clean. Newly remodeled. Haven't ate there hot food but it smelled very good! I also like that they have blue bags for your groceries indicating cold items.

Open later currently than any other grocery store in the county. Employees are wonderful and helpful. Occasionally, they will close earlier than their displayed times but, overall a good place to shop for last minute. Decent beer and wine selections, too.

As far as shopping here it's reliable for the most part.However some of the staff is on the other hand not so much.One evening when going to get my groceries I did drop my EBT card in the store and tried telling the evening manager and asking if he would check the lost & found and my response received from him was 'if there was one I would know it' and sticking to this even stating again it was just minutes of being in the store.I left immediately and called my card as lost/stolen to get a new one as soon as I could and the next morning a lady who also worked there found the card and personally messaged me the following morning to find out in fact my card WAS there.This evening manager will not even ring me up if I come into a line and has switched cashiers suddenly since then. The dishonesty really hurt me especially considering I am living off SSDI & what little assistance I am able to recieve sadly.Many others on the staff are sweet and egar to help. But remain cautious.

Great store, clean, we'll stocked and neat and clean. Staff is friendly. Unfortunately they didn't carry a couple items I needed. They weren't specialty items so I felt they should've had them. I can request them to stock them though, so that's nice. Overall I'm happy with this store.

I love this store.The renovations made a Hugh difference to the store. They got mostly everything I want, except good 🧀 cheese. Please just get some good Bree, Asiago and Mozzarella. . Thank you!

The store itself is fine. The order/pickup thing is awful. A lot of my order was refunded because there were no "adequate replacements" one of the things was a tub of country crock for example. Now you mean to tell me there is not a tub of butter in that whole store? 😆 I did a big order but ended up with literally HALF of what I ordered. No really, half!! Never again.

I stopped to pick up a few things on my way to a small get together. I was looking for a meat & cheese tray, some chips & something sweet. The premade trays with meat & cheese were $20. I asked about smaller ones & was directed to one of the cases. The tray was much cheaper, but only had cheddar cheese & pepperoni - no other meat. I ended up purchasing cheese cubes & meat separately. My grocery store at home has the chips near the beer so it took me a minute to find the chips aisle. As for beverages, I've been purchasing cases of Clubtails either at a grocery store or convenience store. Unfortunately, this store only had them available as individual cans. I purchased 8 which was a pain to get out of the refrigeratedl case, a pain to get out of the cart & a real pain when they started to fall out of the bag when I went to take them out of the car & I ended up climbing around the back seat to retrieve them. Since this is the only grocery store I saw in Mountain City, I'll be sure to stop in Damascus on my way next time.

It's apparent I like going here for groceries. It's no food city or publix but they always have what you need. Way better prices than food country. What I love the most is the meat selection can not be matched or bested by any place else around here. The employees are always smiling and respectful. They will bend over backwards to lend a hand in any way. If they wasn't plum on the other end of town from everything I would have maybe given 5 stars. This is Mountain City so I know there is nothing 5 stars in this town. Overall best place in Mountain City for groceries.

Best produce selection in Mountain City. Lots of organic choices throughout the store. A small selection of gluten free products and other allergy free stuff. A great deli bakery. I so wish prices were lower but they're high everywhere these days.
