The best place around to buy fish. It's not a beautiful place but they have beautiful healthy fish! I have bought from carousel 3 times and all of the fish I've bought from there have died within a week to 2 weeks. Most were the day after I got them. However I have had my fish from fish fair for almost a month now and they are perfectly healthy! I plan on getting more today to add some buddies for my 4 fish I already have! Hope this helps!

Fish Fair has an excellent selection of fish and amphibians for your home aquarium. The little old man who owns the store is really nice and quite knowledgeable. We bought a large group of fish and the service was great.

My wife, son, and I had such a good time visiting this store today. The asian gentleman running the shop was well beyond helpful and super nice. He helped us pick out all our fish and explained all about them. He even gave us 2 free fish that were $10 each. He even took us in the back of the store and let us see all the baby fish he was raising. He said he had been working with fish for over 40 years and the knowledge he shared with us today was amazing. We will definitely be back in the near future. The only place I'll buy my fish from now on.

I love coming here not only to look at their amazing fish but to buy my fish I've gotten very knowledgeable about fish since I've had them (different breeds and tank sizes) almost as long as I've been an actual parent. The staff is nice and helpful and get you what you want!

We've been going to The Fish Fair for years & won't buy from anywhere else. While his store may not be fancy or spotless, he truly loves fish, & has a wide variety of them. The fish that we've purchased are healthy & live for years. I don't understand the reviews about him being rude. He has always offered great advice & takes the time to listen to our questions...even when our children ask a million of them. He may not be easily understood but he is very knowledgeable & passionate about his fish, & will often ask "how much?" because he is willing to negotiate. We've always enjoyed our experience and highly recommend The Fish Fair.

If fancy pet store feel is what you're looking for then this isn't the place for you. I was pleased to see so many mature fish instead of all babies. Prices for established fish were extremely reasonable. Owner very knowledgeable. *visited during Covid pandemic and everyone wore masks* Lots of customers during my 30 minute visit.

I always buy my koi and other fish from here. He has taught me a lot about the care and keeping them ALIVE. I have not lost any fish in along time because of their knowledge. If you want healthy fish and need to know how to care for them this is the place to go. I just hope they don’t close for a long time because there is no other place around that I know of.

The only place to fill your aquarium. The owner breeds his own fish and has a lifetime of experience and knowledge. Fresh as well as saltwater with a large variety. I've done business for 12 years. No sick fish ever. He also ships within continental US. A+

Best fish store in all of Morristown the staff is very knowledgeable and friendly and they have quite a good selection. They mostly have freshwater fish but they do have a saltwater section. This is not your typical pet store type place they sell fish they do have other fish related products but go there for the fish everything else is honestly a little overpriced. The fish however are the healthiest you'll find in town.

I have a new 55 gallon fish tank I'm setting up. Walked into this place with my wife, looking to spend several hundred dollars on fish and equipment. Was "greeted" by an older Asian man who seemed annoyed we walked into his store. Tried talking to him asking some questions and he was just rude and didn't want to help at all. I'll be spending my money somewhere else today and in the future.

My daughter brought me to this store. Fish here are a little pricey but I will pay it when I'm ready to get more fish. Fish here look great and are healthy looking. The fish my daughter bought from here before are still doing great after several months.

Old fashion fish store, not a box store by no means. I try to buy almost all of my freshwater fish here. They have nice saltwater fish too but I've never bought any here. I gave it four stars because some of the prices seem a little steep but you can find a bargain in here also.

Great place to buy fish. The man who owns the fish fair knows a lot about the fish. The tanks aren't the cleanest but aren't that dirty by all means but he cares for the fish and really takes care of them all by himself with some help from his son. He does have an accent but if your ears aren't cloggedd with racism he is pretty easy to understand. Shame shame on a lot of people online hiding behind the screen to say whatever they want whether it's true or not. Why does that little screen make you feel so in powder? You would say such rude things about people. That makes me so sad. I really love this fish store ive only spent maybe 30$ and that man treated me and my husband so good. Learn some manners people just because we can't see you doesn't mean your words aren't rude!

I've been going here for years I wouldn't go anywhere else. Yeah the service isn't always the best, yeah the tanks could be cleaner, but the guy who runs the Fish Fair knows his stuff and each fish I've brought home have been healthy and some have lived for years. I had a kissing gourami that lived over 10 years!

I would give 0 stars if I could!! Walked in the man never said one word. Completely ignored us. Even ignored a question when I asked! Then gave another chance by asking him how much the clown fish was? He said I'm not selling fish, I asked again you mean your not selling clown fish? He said no I'm not selling any fish. I'm thinking isn't this a fish store. We left and went to carousel pet store. Never will I ever step foot in there again!!

I really love getting my fish from there. When you get your fish he tells you to keep the bag sealed and, the bag with the fish in the water for 24 hours. I didn't listen and my Pacu Piranha died. Then I got a comet Goldfish and i waited for 24 hours. My comet Goldfish is still living. Plus, he takes really good care of the fish.

The guy is cool but he’s a con artist. He just wants your cash. He told me an Arrowana (a fish that grows to 3ft+) would only grow to the size of the tank and could fit in my 20g which is 100% wrong. He also sold me a Flowerhorn for $40 plus tax when come to find out you can get the same thing for $15-$20. It’s the most common type of FH and yet he doubled the normal price because he knew people wouldn’t know better and buy it anyway. The selection is great and he usually carries some oddball fish but as I said, he just wants your money.

Worst customer service ever. I spent an hour in this store and left empty handed. I saw the exact fish that I wanted, when I asked him about it he said he didn't have any and walked away. He then walked outside and did not come back in. Will never step foot inside this store again. He does have a really great selection though, if you can get him to help you.

This place has a nice selection of fish my only problem with this place is the ich that comes with the fish. They are covered in ich if you have the medicine than it's probably fine to buy fish from here but if you don't than I wouldn't recommend buying any fish from here. My fish are now covered in it. I didn't see the ich when I bought the fish until I got home. So if you don't have the experience to treat ich than don't buy fish from here. Luckily I have medicine for it.

Let's go ahead and get it over with. If you dont know fish, dont go here. The man is simply old and dont have time to try and explain to newbies everything (go to coral reef). If you are coming thru and are experienced you can stop here, better than any big box pet store but small amount of stuff outside of fish themselves. FISH ARE HEALTHY! But you need to know your stuff.

Went in there to look at discus fish. Drove an hour based on online reviews. The man working (I'm assuming the owner) offered no information on the fish other than the small ones are small, the medium ones are medium, the large ones are large, and the biggest ones are jumbo. He would not even tell us the pricesame. He just kept saying "you're the customer, you tell me how much. " We also had ano aquarium tool with no price. Not everything is without prices, only random fish and items. We offered what we thought was fair based on other discus we have and he said no, then took the tool out of our hands, and hung it back up. We asked the price on the tool and he said "I don't know, have a nice day, goodbye." Then disappeared into the back. No idea how he's been in business for 40 years as he said. If you want a ridiculous amount for some "rare" fish then tell people how much you want. Waste of time. Waste of good business space
