Went to make a return (wasn’t aware you have to return to the store you bought) the girl working was very rude about it and kept saying remarks to upset me. So I left called corporate and they told me you can return to any dollar general as long as everything was new unopened. Went back in to just be nice and let her know so next time she doesn’t have to make someone else drive 10 mins away to make a return. Instead she has to have an attitude and get her “leader” I’m assuming take over and proceed to tell me not to talk to her like that just for letting her know corporate said you could. Anyways I didn’t say anything wrong just stating what they said and they turned it into something hoping I would fight back with them🤷🏼‍♀️ idk but super unprofessional and won’t be back in there. If she didn’t want to work I would have accepted that better than being talked to the way I was!!

It would be nice if the store would actually be open when it is supposed to be open. I have called before to confirm that they were open until 10. I was told yes we will be open until 10. I arrived at the store at 9:40 and the door was locked. There were people in the store checking out but I was told that once the doors were locked they couldn't open them. Tonight I pulled into the parking lot at 8:55 and there were signs on the door saying Store Closed. No explanation or anything. It's just frustrating. I go to work early in the morning and it's after 7 or 8 before I get off work. I needed to pick some things up and couldn't.

Bought a phone and phone card there. Got home the phone wouldn't activate. Took it back , got a refund but couldn't get refunded on card. The manager there was very busy with customers I ask if I left it there until she gets time to try and get it refunded . She kept it there she had no luck with refund but it meant alot she tried .she suggested calling the provider I did and got it credited to my other phone . Heat customer service thank you

Cant use their self checkout because they dont do refunds or exchanges with a receipt. Crazy! Cashier kept the extra coupons and threw them away. Give the customer the option if they want to keep or throw away.

I'm actually working here for 3 days at the dollar general on Mont eagle but my main store is in Jasper. But this one on Mont eagle has the friendly staff and very supportive of new employees! N they definitely are working hard to get things done! Absolutely a great store n awesome atmosphere!

This is one of the nicest dollar generals around. Very organized. Large grocery section with lots of food to choose from. You can get almost everything you need here. Quick and friendly service. Convenient location. Great prices. Cool barnwood aesthetic on the outside; never seen a dollar general with that kind of details. It really fits the rustic vibe of Monteagle.

Employees are very nice and helpful. The store and the bathroom was clean and organized. The problem is it takes to long to check out. Sometimes i go to another store cause it faster to get in and out. But I know it not the cashiers its the policy. 5⭐employees 2⭐policy

When you drive 2 1/2 hours to a hotel and realize that you don't have toothbrush or toothpaste or sewing scissors, your stomach sinks a bit. Just when that happened I saw a Dollar General across the street from the motel. They had what I wanted and checked me out with a smile.

Stopped by to get my cat some treats on the way home and i really liked this store the employees were nice and friendly and they seemed to have a large supply of everything except for the kind of cat treats my cat was wanting but it was still a nice and clean store.

Shelves always empty. New stock on pallets in the middle of floor. Nobody to put stock up. One register open with line backed up to pet foods. Not once or twice but every time I visit the store. Maybe I shouldn't visit the store!

Dollar General stores I have noticed is almost Always packed full of boxes Full of Supplies that need to be put on shelves. But all that aside. The staff is always very nice an helpful

I love this store. On my grocery shopping day I go to Dollar General and then Kroger. I get as much as I can and the rest at Kroger. Needless to say I save quite a bit doing this.

Dollar General's are just about on every corner here in Tennessee. Some are super messy, while others are super organized. I commend Dollar General for becoming Today's Modern "Five and Dime." It is a great place to run in and pick up almost any item you might need, last minute for your household, a vacation need, even some grocery items in a pinch. Dollar General makes sure their cashiers are friendly and helpful. So, in Hixson, TN, some stores are messy and some are pristine, but they are reliable in carrying mainstay items and hiring friendly people. After a long day, I would choose a quick store run to Dollar General over Walmart-any day!!! Leslie H in Hixson, TN

Store is always piled up you can’t get down the isles and the managers are not very friendly the cashiers are very friendly and when I ask for an item it’s always going to be out tomorrow very disappointed the store used to be a very nice store and it’s not anymore

Tennessee owned. I like Dollar General for various sundries. Much better prices than the Piggly Wiggly down the street for things like cereal, coffee, toiletries, etc.
