Love the Downtown location. The entire team from the front desk, to the techs, and the vets not only treat my sweet pup with the most care and consideration, they are also very friendly, flexible, and helpful to their human clients as well. I’ve always felt they go above and beyond to make sure that everyone coming into the facility is comfortable and well-informed. Most recently, it was poring down rain when we left and one of the team members walked me and the dog to our car with an umbrella, just one small example of their willingness to go above and beyond. Oh and their prices are also very fair- always a plus!

Took my puppy to his first vet appointment here and was very happy with our visit! All of the staff were very friendly and attentive, they held him and gave him a tour while I filled out his paperwork, and their love/compassion for him was very evident making a first time pet owner very comfortable. The price seemed very fair and Dr. Washington went above and beyond snuggling him the whole visit and helping make his first experience at the vet a very positive one. They answered all my questions, listened to all my concerns, and addressed his health holistically. We were very happy with our visit and can't wait to take him back!

There has been countless times we needed to get him in for a same day appointment and they always find a way to squeeze him into their busy schedule. Our puppy, Klaus, absolutely LOVED this place (downtown, on Jefferson Ave.). It was his first ever visit to the vet, and it went swimmingly. First of all, the facility was very modern and clean, and it did not look or feel like a vet´s office. The staff was very kind and welcoming, and Dr. Washington was phenomenal. We could not have asked for a more perfect visit. Klaus will always return here for anything he needs, and we will bring any and all future siblings as well! Do not go ANYWHERE else! Perfection!

We LOVE the Pet Hospitals Downtown! We got our dog in the spring of 2020 and the staff at the Pet Hospitals were lifesavers for providing a fun, safe place for our pup to get out some energy and get some love from people other than our family. He is always excited to visit (even on vet days!) and that is truly a great feeling. Dr Rucker and the rest of the staff are always so kind and helpful and accessible whenever we have any questions, concerns, or other needs. So thankful to have them in the neighborhood!

Do NOT let this place groom your dog! My poodle came out with a bleeding face and no explanation. I didn’t notice until we were halfway home and I’ve called back up there a few times and no one has answered. In addition to them cutting her face, the cut is not what I discussed with the groomer. The Union Ext does excellent grooming. Bringing her to the downtown/Jefferson Ave location was a big mistake.

I just adopted the very first pet in my life and he was a two-month-old kitten. The shelter told me my baby was too young to have all the vaccinations done. And the due date of one of the vaccines was the next week from the time I took him home. It was so panicky to me at the beginning that I have to find a Vet to get all those things I was unfamiliar with to be done shortly. But fortunately, my co-worker recommended The Pet Hospitals-Downtown location to me. When I made an appointment, the staff told me they have a special program for pets adopted from shelters and rescue groups and I could get a complete vaccine series and physical exam for my kitten at no charge. The experience of my first visit was decent and pleasant. All of the staff and Dr. Washington were very nice and professional. They patiently answered a lot of stupid questions that I was worried about. And I could feel they really love animals and welcome all the pets and their family to their clinic. They even prepared very adorable deco and the name card on the door. Oh, my heart was melting. My kitten got two vaccines and deworming at no charge and Dr. Washington gave very thoughtful and detailed medical instructions for me to take care of my kitten. Definitely highly recommended this Pet hospital!

The staff here care and are so helpful! My baby Chip had a fractured femur and was seen at an after hours emergency vet. Consulted here for a follow up to get him more meds and because he wasn’t eating. Dr. Washington and Dr. Rucker both took my concerns seriously and got Chip what he needed. Got him liquid pain meds (he hates pill). After 2 days of not eating Chip is eating again with the help of this magic ointment! He’s so much more comfortable. So grateful! I can sleep easy tonight.

Our sweet older dog needed to be seen quickly & they were able to get him quickly, within an hour. Everyone was so kind, so considerate during the next 24 hours while we watched to see how he would respond with his treatment. Unfortunately it was time for him to cross over the bridge to fly free from pain & they went above and beyond making sure everyone was comfortable during his final moments. It is a terrible way to meet a new vet practice but I will forever be grateful for the love, compassion and kindness they showed us during his final moments earth-side.

A friend recommended the Pet Hospitals when I knew I needed to make a change for my fur friends. So happy I did because I am in love with them! The doctors, staff, and techs are patient, friendly, and knowledgeable. Doctor Courtney is phenomenal! My first visit was for a second opinion for my sick cat. She diagnosed her almost immediately and the treatment was much less (meds and cost) than the previous vet had recommended. My next visit was for annual checkups for my dog and cat. The tech Trey -aka dog whisperer - has a new BFF with my Rottie :) Everything about my experience is positive. We will be long time customers.

They were incredibly kind to me and my baby Piper Anne. She had lymphoma and was in her final moments. They showed immense compassion for her and allowed me to say goodbye and kiss her one last time. 💜 I will never forget that!

Amazing place. I rescued an older dog I have had for about 3 years that was not taken care of before. I took her to a vet last year when I noticed her health really declining and they told me what was wrong with her and pushed me out the door. When I came here the vet was so kind and talked to me about my dog like he was talking about his own. He was very truthful with me and immediately gave me options to help make her comfortable since she is old and declining. Thanks to this place she will hopefully be as comfortable as she can in the last few years of her life.The groomers were also amazing. They did a great job and Molly seemed so comfortable.Also the communication with the staff through the the chat is so convenient and easy! They are also always professional and so kind.Great place to take your pet!!!

The Pet Hospital is a safe, caring and constructive environment for dogs to play, relax and interact with others for daycare. I appreciate that my dog, Flame, is carefully watched, loved and out of energy when I pick him up. I work throughout the day so The Pet Hospital allows him the time to be a dog and to remain socialized with other dogs and humans. He is known by name when he enters and is excited to run to the care giver, but is equally excited to come back to me and has enjoyed a day of play and fun. It's an added bonus that in case of emergency there's a veterinarian on site at all times also. The staff never hesitates to communicate great ideas and I even get a chance to see him sometimes throughout the day through the Instagram account and the staff is always kind to give me an update on Flame if I call and inquire. Amazing customer service for myself and dog!

Our pup, Grizzy, started exhibiting symptoms of extreme sickness (lethargic, high fever, coughing, vomiting, shaking) in the middle of the night on Saturday. We got in for an appointment right away and Dr. Haddock immediately began treating our girl. The staff was very clear about what care she (Grizzy) needed, carefully reviewed cost with us to ensure that we were able to manage the care, and gave very loving treatment to our pup when she needed it the most. It is nice to know that they are there for our Grizzy when we aren't able to help her ourselves!

Wonderful staff, dog cries to go inside when we arrive! Best doggie day care and affordable! Briscoe made friends and loved that one of the staff till a video of him playing, it really helped us feel great about leaving him here. Would love doggie cams so we can watch him more often but only positive experiences here. They also helped board him last minute when I had an injury and couldn't care for him, and the easy to schedule groomer managed to get him super spiffy looking. Love love love the care and people!

I would highly recommend this veterinary hospital. In fact I plan on using them for all my dog's care from now on. I have a 17, almost 18, year old long hair chihuahua that needed attention quickly. My regular vet was booked and could not take him in. I called Memphis Pet Hospital on Jefferson they saw him within a couple of hours. He was examined and treated promptly, the staff and doctor were great. They explained how he would be treated, why and what the next step would be if he didn't get better. They even texted the next day to see how he was doing. I was afraid I might be loosing my little buddy; they treated him and gave me the reassurance I needed.

I brought my stray cat in with her kitten and they didn't charge me a thing to have them both looked at since jt was my first visit. They gave me a packet that helps me to take care of newborn kittens and there mothers. The vet and the vet Tech were very nice. I will make this place my primary pet hospital.

I give the employees at The Pet Hospital five stars. I give management a two. The rates at The Pet Hospital have gone up two times in the last three months. Rates that use to be cost efficient have gone the way of price gouging. The rate went up by $5.00 per night while my pet was there for only two nights. I was told the price increase at pick up only after asking the total. I knew it was a lot for two nights and was then informed of the price increase which happened the day prior. I asked for the first night to be at the old rate because it was before the increase and they obliged. The staff on duty said they were unaware that the price was rising until it happened. Technically, since management knew which pets were boarding at their facility during the rate increase, owners should have been notified via text or email that the price would go up during our pet’s stay. They’d phone you if your pet was sick so why wouldn’t they phone for a price increase? I came back from my trip the day prior and would have picked my dog up early had I known about the price increase. Management took that option away by not notifying me. And even with the price increase, the two nights, in my opinion should have been at the old rate since I was not informed until inquiring at check out.A representative did call after I told the staff that I’d be doing an online review regarding my dissatisfaction with the price gouging. Mind you the rate had just been increased by $5.00 in September 2022.I am rethinking either bringing my pet along when traveling or finding a dog-loving friend who’ll care for my dog when I’m away on short trips. I’m also shopping around for a new boarding facility.

I don't really ever write reviews but I just have to say The Pet Hospitals Downtown is amazing. They have always been so responsive, compassionate, and give great care to my puppy. I always can get in for a last minute appointment for a sick visit which has saved me a few visits to the ED. They do not over-test when it is not necessary but will offer appropriate diagnostics/treatment when indicated, and I feel like they truly care about me and my puppy! The texting service to be in communication is great because my job prevents me from being on the phone easily during work hours. Really great Vet.

I love the pet hospitals, all locations! Downtown is great because it's so close, the staff is so helpful, considerate, and truly have my dogs best interests in mind. Always good descriptions of anything before moving forward with treatment, always give options, and are always calling to follow up after starting a new treatment or a visit. Nobody I'd trust more with my dogs well-being!

We are prospective clients (new to the area) inquiring about heart worm treatment for a dog we are considering adopting. A veterinarian called me within minutes of my inquiry. She discussed the timeframe, medications, risks, restrictions, cost, etc involved in treating an infected pup. The doctor answered all my questions and addressed concerns for about 20 min. Our family needed this thorough discussion to help us decide that we can effectively and safely help this sick pup by adopting. Thank you very much for your time today. I am blown away by your compassion from the start—we look forward to meeting the team for our first new patient consult after we officially adopt our boy. I wanted to leave this review because other vets we contacted were also helpful but required us to come for physical consult to discuss plan (free consult)—this group went the extra step and gave us the time to discuss treatment before committing to visit. That is what helped us to make most informed decision for veterinary care.

Dr. Haddock is amazing! My 7 year old got very sick on a weekend four days before we were suppose to get our new puppy. Our regular vet wasn’t open so we decided to try The Pet Hospitals. We felt better immediately, as did my sick boy. Dr. Haddock personally called to check on him a few days after to make sure he was doing better.We switched to her immediately and have began bringing our new puppy there as well. She is always in a good mood and has great people skills which can be rare in a vet. She clearly loves her job and always asks about which ever dog I don’t have with me.We are so glad we happened upon her. The techs and front desk are also very kind and scheduling is easy. One of my favorite things they do is offer to hold the leash while I check out. It’s something so simple, but it makes it 100% easier to get my money situated and schedule.
