I can not speak highly enough of the Fish Barn Superstore. ALL of their staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable of all of the stock they carry ! They ALL go over and beyond to help their customers. Their stock is well maintained and if you don’t see what you are looking for, just let them know and they will order what you want. Great store! Various selection of species to choose from. The biggest selection of discus I've ever seen! I purchased two discus from this location and they are very vibrant and were eating well the very first day I got them home. They don't have a guarantee but that doesn't bother me, I personally think you should do your research and know what to look for before purchasing a pet. Fish are very delicate and even when everythings done right there can be loses. Excited to visit again in the future and maybe even upgrade the size of my tank!

Fish Barn Superstore is an absolutely amazing store! Amazing fish, very big variety, and very good quality fish! I have gotten over 100 fish from this store, and i have 5 tanks from this store and i have never had any problems out of any tanks nor fish! The owner of the store is very knowledgeable on what he sells and very knowledgeable on any fish that anyone has questions about!

It's about time Memphis got a big fish store! They opened a month or so ago but are building a nice inventory already. Friendly staff, hard to find fish, building in the right direction. Salt and fresh water.

Do not shop here. Look closely at their reverse osmosis water filter, the waste line feeds directly back into the holding tank.They are selling plain tap water. If you have bought their fish, this is why they keep dying.The owner is prone to violent outbursts when confronted about taking money and not providing the services promised. I have even heard from others in the community that on more than one occasion he has pulled out a firearm to intimidate people trying to recover their money after he failed to provide tanks and fish totaling in the thousands.They have a no return policy because your new fish are already about to die before they leave the store. If you pre-order anything, please have a lawyer on retainer. It's the only way you will see your money again. Look at their tanks.. the main source of filtration is a sponge filter jammed in every tank.The owner slanders and attacks anyone who gets in his way, and is not to be trusted. He will lie to get your money and make you out to be the bad guy. Even a short conversation with this man will prove he knows very little about the fish he sells.The private Facebook group they maintain, is nothing more than a hate group where he can spread lies about anyone who opposes them. I am disgusted of what I have seen there.There is no end to how far these people will go to steal from you. They do not care about the well-being of their fish. They only care about taking your money.Howard is a terrible person, a disaster of a business owner, and a loose cannon. He's vindictive, swimming in debt and willing to steal from you to support the facade that this is a legitimate business.Fishbarn will never receive another dime from me. Do some research and shop at other legitimate businesses in the area.If this review saves just one person from this scam artist, than it was worth my time.

I went here about a month ago, and it seemed like every single tank was either empty, or had at least one dead fish in it, and it smelled like dead fish. I wouldn’t have bought anything anyway, given the fact that so many fish were dead, but even if I had wanted to buy something, literally none of the employees would acknowledge my existence. I said, “Excuse me, sir?” to one guy who rolled his eyes, turned around, and walked away. It was honestly kind of funny, aside from the whole “most of the fish they sell are dead or dying” thing. Anyway, absolutely not a chance I would ever go back there for any reason. I have to wonder where all these positive reviews came from because I have never seen so many dead fish in tanks before.

They're a bit tucked away, definitely worth finding. They have both fresh and saltwater fish. Picked up a gorgeous betta and ember tetras, plus nerite snail and dwarf orange crayfish for a nano aquarium. Fish are healthy and active one week later. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable.

If you want good quality saltwater fish and good customer service do not come here. Bought 7 fish from them and one of them being a hippo tang. Two of their other hippo tangs dead in the tank. I buy one get it home before i put it in the tank it’s already dying. They don’t care here because ( No Fish Is Guaranteed). What a joke. Spend $220 and thats all you get in return.

I don't believe a single good review on this page. They're either fake accounts or people who haven't been screwed over by them yet. I went there several months ago and heard the older man running it yelling "Hey girl!!" to get one of his employees attention. I was appalled at the blatant disrespect. I didn't come back until a couple weeks ago to get RO water and could literally smell the chlorine tap water from the bucket when I got home. Not to mention the place reeks, dead fish laying around on things, and their fish did not look healthy. Thankfully i will not be returning as a new store has opened up in Memphis.

We were excited to go there. That excitement quickly vanished. More dead fish in the place than alive. Cichlids were cramped in a tank with no filtration or aeration. Was prolly 20 laying dead on the bottom. Several were missing an eye. Lots missing fins. There was many swimming upside down sideways waiting to die. To the right was a make shift table with a pile of dead fish on it appears they had been there a while. All the tanks were dirty with dead fish in them. Junk laying everywhere! I mean everywhere. I don't believe not one single positive review here. Place shouldn't be open. Needless to say we didn't buy anything. Heck I wouldn't take any thing free from there. No clue how the place is open.

I really do not recommend this place. I used to go often, but got tired of standing around for 20 or 30 minutes waiting to be helped. Or just giving up and walking about.They rarely have a lot of inventory (other than expensive high dollar fish with no return policy) and instead of welcoming a second fish store they slander the owner instead saying he is a scammer. And any remarks to the contrary, are removed. Shows high levels of unprofessionalism. Not to mention the possibility of being slanderous.They run a lot of “sales“ to attract people in thinking they’re actually getting a bargain. They even tell you about how “cheap they are”I will be taking a few hundred dollars a month of business to RO aquatics or other stores for business due to extremely high levels of umprofessionalism.

Keep on looking for a reputable store. They are happy to pick up fish, dump em in tanks and resell immediately. Bought fish serveral times didnt even survice the trip home. Feeder ghost shrimp I buy I ended up kulling some due to horse hair parasites. They really dont care. And no guarentee on survival. You pay for it - doesnt matter if they die 5 minutes later its your problem. Such is life right?The "sales" and how they promote them almost seem desperate. Stand on your knowledge and customer service people. If you sell fish you should be able to have some knowledge of their care and answer the most basic questions.Extremely limited selection of accessories too. I cant even find a master kit, a gh/kh test kit in the store yet they sell shrimp and fish tanks. They seem to assume people know how to take care of what they buy (guess they make more that way) Yeah seems they just care about the money. I get its a business an they need to make money but care about your customers. Last time in the store I stood there 20 minutes waiting for the older guy to come help me and he never even left the register. I walked out wont ever go back.And today I seen where this guy is trying to open a fish store and instead of welcoming competition because ya know Memphis cant possibly support 2 stores they slander him say he is a scammer.Save your money look elsewhere. Memphis is getting another fish store (RO aquatics on summer) or even look online where you can get at least a guarentee your fish will arrive alive.

This place is underrated entirely. I went today, and was marveled by the selection of red tail catfish, tiger shovel nose, discus, leopard moray eels, fresh and salt puffers, fresh and salt eels, iridescent sharks, cichlids, flower horns, Oscar’s, axolotls, and so much more. I could go on forever, but this store doesn’t get the credit. The customer service is great and very friendly and conversational. Not many work there, and that’s why customer service might seem bad. But it’s truely not, and I couldn’t be happier to say this is the best fish store anywhere close to Mississippi!

The owner is a con artist/rip off,you will do better ordering your own fish,he will lie quicker than he can open his mouth,re-sell things and fish that are given to him for ridiculous prices. he puts a half off sale label on fish but will up the price to double the original amount so you really are not getting any deal,best deals he will give is on fish that are not moving out fast enough sick or injured,there is no refund on your fish not even for 24hrs,his stock is no better than any other local fish store such as Petco or PetSmart,the little exotic stock he does bring isn't worth your time or money,you will have a healthier fish and better pricing by ordering fish on your own,last but not least he will offer you pennies for fish you try to rehome to him but sale them for top dollar amount,don't find out the hard way just order onlineNot trying to blemish anyone's character or anything in that nature,but us ppl as buyers who work hard for our money deserves better treatment and respect for our hard earned dollars

We travel almost 2 hours just 1 way (almost weekly might I add) to come to yalls store for almost a year now. We started payment plans on a tank back when you were at the old Memphis location, and even spoke to y'all about delivery and help setting it up (as we have no experience with sumps). We finally paid off the tank and delivery and was discussing available dates for delivery with the owner. The day we were promised delivery comes and we call to verify time, and are told y'all ended up "too busy" and would try the next day as you needed to go out of town again for business soon, AND could we please have people available to help. The very next day we call again to verify approximately what time the tank would be arriving. Was told owners had ALREADY left town and they wouldn't be back for a couple weeks so therefore they could not deliver until then. When we demanded an explanation and a promised delivery date, we were told we were no longer welcome at the store and neither was our business as we "took too long to pay and didn't bother to pay a storage fee", and we have 3days to collect our stuff. We were never told about a storage fee nor was one mentioned when discussing payment or delivery. When inquiring about our refund for the delivery (something we only ever paid for via Cash app as that's the payment method y'all very much prefer and insist upon), we were told it's "been processed and could take up to 3-7 business days"?Y'all have also sold us several fish with misinformation. Insisting a fish that NEEDS brackish water will be just fine in regular freshwater, or not even giving us the correct names for fish. We had to find out when doing our own research because they wouldn't eat what y'all told us they would.Highly disappointed with the recent customer service and quality of fish. Was not planning on going back anyway and will definitely not be recommending y'all to anybody ever again
