Needs to shut down, send all employees through customer service training....on top of that,, im yet to enter one that doesn't have boxes stacked to the ceiling.......merchandise piled up.....it would be interesting to see the attitude change if the dollar store that's no longer a dollar store shuts down, and your education and experience can't get you another or better job........ 😕

Such a pleasant surprise to see how clean and organized this store is! The employees are very helpful and friendly. The manager definitely takes pride in her work. I was sitting in my vehicle getting ready to leave this review and I looked up and saw the manager in my review mirror cleaning the windows on the store doors. I hope to get in touch with the corporate office and let them know about this awesome experience!

Their closing way before the listed closing time which is making customers like myself a little unhappy. But I also see that there's a very bad practice in retail that will slim down staffing to 1 personnel to cover an entire store by themselves which should not be thus resulting in our store being closed earlier than its expected. And if you really want to work you can just show up please...Family Dollar fix this!

Friendly,helpful staff, clean, merchandise not on floor, small store not much room at check out or places to park your car. More positive than negatives. I like it. Update: 6/17/18 to further notice Family Dollar at 1688 Jackson ave & Family Dollar at Popular & N. Avalon both stores are Closed due to No AC Units in the stores. Again Closed Until Further Notice. Thank you.

This store is always stocked. I've never seen bare shelves anywhere. Plus, I always seem to find something really interesting and unique and super affordable! Clean location with good employees.

In the past I wouldn't have rated this location a 5 star but every since Ms. Shariska has been back at this location the store has been really clean, the cashier's are extremely helpful, polite and very professional. I'm so happy that I can go to this location and get wonderful customer service! I love Ms. Shariska and her staff! As far as shoplifters are concern Ms. Shariska is handling that too! She is the best! Please give this manager and the store associates a raise, gift card and or a thank you card because they are exceptional!

I was in this store on Christmas Day 2017. When I first walked in the store, employees were complaining about their working conditions. I walked up to the register and one of the cashiers yelled across the store for another cashier to "get them." The other cashier yelled back, "you get them." Finally, a young man approached the register and checked me out. I asked the young lady for her name and she refused to answer, keeping her back turned to me. I will NEVER go in this store again, and I recommend that no one else does either, unless something is done to dramatically improve customer service.I never complain about poor customer service and I especially never take time to post, if its not positive. However, I found my experience this time to be deplorable and I don't want anyone else to be subjected to this type of treatment.

Staff is friendly but the store is unsafe. It is always getting robbed and they use to have armed security guards but that was only for a very short time. Now it's back to being unsafe , Ratchet and ghetto. Just look at the front door glass, it's always broke. The redbox works on Tuesdays only because that's the day the technician comes out to put new movies in after that the ratchets break it trying to break into it. Smdh

Great, but be prepared to wait in line for a long time. Don’t go too close to closing time. Sometimes they lock the door before closing. Staff is friendly most of the time.

Very unprofessional, one cashier was talking on her cell phone, use only one register, and made the customers wait in line of 15 min. The use of profanity by some of the employees is unacceptable!
