I had a wonderful experience at Daphne's Pet Grooming! The service was excellent, and I was genuinely pleased with the results. Their pricing is very economical, and the staff is incredibly kind. Highly recommended for pet owners looking for quality grooming without breaking the bank.

Okay y'all... So I have a 4 lb Chihuahua that sleeps with me, goes everywhere with me, and is very "all up in my face" all the time. So I'm sure you can imagine my absolute horror when I woke up one Sunday morning, scooped her in my arms.....and got greeted with A TICK! ON MY BABY! Of course I was like "hell, no!" And I frantically got on Google in search of help. I called one of the big box petstores, who wanted $60. But then I saw Daphne's, and I am ever the champion for local small businesses, so I called. Not only were they literally 1/3 of the price but they had an immediate opening! Unfortunately, I didn't think to get the young man's name, but he was so nice and wonderful with my Coco, who is usually afraid of men. I HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BUSINESS!!!!!

DO NOT TAKE YOUR DOG HERE.THEY KILLED MY PUPPY!!Since I cannot get a callback, I’m going public with this. They killed my dog. 8 week old healthy puppy, that I brought in because he got fleas from the neighbors’ yard. I couldn’t get the fleas out due to the thickness of his coat, so took him here.They put him in flea dip and left him soaking in it for an extended period of time. Best estimate based off of what I was told by groomer, he was left in flea dip for over an hour. Groomer called me to come get my dog, saying he thinks somethings wrong with him, that the puppy wasn’t moving and his head was floppy. I immediately went to get puppy, but he was already seizing and having extreme difficulty breathing. I left to take puppy to vet but he started seizing again, bleeding from his nose, and died within minutes of leaving.Shame on Daphnes’ for having people who are uneducated on proper grooming and procedures handling dogs!!EDIT: the EIGHT WEEK old puppy was not sick.I brought him to you *because* I couldn’t the fleas off of him myself. Regardless, it is negligent to to put a puppy under 4 months old into flea dip at all, much less for over an hour.

Daphne’s has great prices but this last visit has me very upset. I dropped my pup off at 9 AM and she still wasn’t done at 5:30 PM. I asked for a full groom and specified I wanted a shaved face and super short ears / beard area as well as shaved paw pads. She has a shaved bridge of nose but the rest of her face has not been touched. It still looks dirty. Her paws were not shaved and in addition she came home with a matt. The staff was friendly but I was disappointed with her cut.

I love this place very professional with the pets and customers I’ve been taking my baby there for years and she’s a bit mean but they handle her with love and has never refused service I’m very thankful and greatful for them ❤️🐶❤️

Edited: June 27, 2023A couple of months ago, I booked an appointment and when I arrived to drop off my dog, the door was unlocked, the lights were off, and no one was there. Another customer and I waited for 15 minutes and finally someone arrived. This was a Monday morning which made me wonder if they had left the door unlocked over the weekend. Anyway, there was a dog running around loose inside that had gone to the bathroom #1 and #2 everywhere. Assuming it had been left out of any kennels all weekend.Fast forward to today, I was already hesitant about sending my dog back, but I made an appointment to drop him off this morning at 8 am - she said “anytime before 9:30 am”. Again, arrived on time and not a soul in sight. I waited for 15 minutes - called and no one answered.. you can only wait so long until you have to go with plan B and take your dog all the way back home before going to work. Extremely disappointed and frustrated.They do great work but are hard to get ahold of and have noticed recent unprofessionalism of this business.——————Original post:Appointments available in a very reasonable timeframe compared to others in the area. I love Daphey's n my fur babies does too. The staff is excellent n make you feel like family. I've taken my babies to other groomers n they were nervous and anxious when I picked them up. Not at Daphey's they are happy n no problems. They even go the extra mile for my babies. I highly recommend these groomers. My sister recommended them to me. Her babies are regulars too. Keep up the excellent and professional job you All are doing!!!

Never again! After calling for groomers appt I was told they would squeeze me in but be there by 9am. I signed my baby Duke in at 855am. At 330 I returned hoping he was ready but was told no give it more time. My gut told me something was wrong. So I headed back close to closing and he still wasn't ready. At this point I'm wondering what's going on. So after being told to wait in my car and he will put us in front of others I was not going to. I asked for my dog back . He was returned to me partially wet and half cut heseem as of he had been sedated. I have pictures and will never send my baby to anyone else again. This was the one building by the university of memphis!!!!! Ohhh and they NEVER WOULD ANSWER THE Phone! Did not ask for permission to sedate my dog!!!!

I had to make a last minute appointment to get my dog a haircut and they graciously accommodated me. The service was well done and they had him ready by the time I finished my classes for the morning. I would definitely recommend for the friendliness, quality and price! I'll be back for sure! To be honest, I've never used this place.However, after calling all the groomers in the Memphis area looking to get my dog washed.Daphne's pet grooming were the only ones who answered the phone.All the rest straight to voicemail, the young lady who answered the phone (Veronica)was so nice and polite it was refreshing.She was busy with a client but took time to help me anyways.She referred me to DawgTeam for a self service wash.She could have been rude, and cut me off short told me she couldn't help, but that wasn't the case.She was quick with kind helpful words and ideas.Like a breath of fresh air AHHHHHH.So if you need your pet groomed call Daphne's and ask for Veronica, you'll be glad you did.

HORRIBLE. We dropped our dog off at 8AM and went to pick her up at 5PM and they said they had not even started on her yet. She was not ready until 6:30PM. She has cuts on both of her legs and ear. They shaved her to the skin and she was not even matted, and they did not even touch her belly - they just left it long. No sanitary cut either. Terrible terrible terrible. Their prices might be decent but it is NOT worth it. Our dog is terrified to even walk in that place.

I WAS a client there for many years. Followed them from store to store.When they want to do a good job they do, but man don't make any plans if you drop your dog off on a Saturday. I have been the 1st person there and the 23rd person there. I NEVER have gotten my dog back until after 5 pm every time. My last encounter, I dropped my baby off at 8:50 AM. I called over and over and over between 2:00 and 3:00 PM. NO answer. Finally my boyfriend went up there at 4:00. They said she wasn't ready and to give them 10 mins. 40 mins later, they bring my dog out- un cut. The only thing they did was wash her hair. They didn't do ANYTHING else. Not one cut was made to her fur. Her paw pads were still dirty, every other nail was cut. They didn't even bother to do the sanitary cut. They clearly knew they did wrong because we were only charged $20.I have stood in line there, hearing other clients complain that they didn't get their dogs back until 9 pm before. What kind of business is this?They take on way to many dogs on a daily basis. Quantity means more then then quality. So they lock these dogs up for 8 hours without water, or potty breaks.

Took my sheepdog dog for a trim, they buzzed her beautiful long fur and said they couldn’t trim her because her hair was “course and not soft and stringy”. No where else has that been an excuse to completely buzz her fur. She also had a few scratches from the clippers on her face. Enough said.

I dropped my dog off at 9 am. She said she would call me when he was done. When 2:40 hit I called to see how long it would be. She just kept telling me over and over she would call me in a bit. At 4:30 we still hadn’t gotten a call. So we went up there to get our dog hair cut or not. He was done and apparently had been done for a while. But the kicker is when we got home he spent 2 solid minutes drinking water. I’m sorry but it seems they really don’t care about your animals. My dog was locked in a cage for 7 hours with no food or water... while a girl played on her phone at the front desk. 👎🏼

They did a great job cutting Porter's hair. Love that they weren't booked up 3 weeks out, I was able to get an appointment for 2 days later. Unfortunately they only accept cash or check, which was a little annoying as I had to run and get some cash.

We have been using Daphne's since 2002 when they were on Union Avenue Extended..Always pleased with their services. We tried a different groomer when we moved to Lakeland but it was a disaster. So we drive them into Memphis! Never changing again!!

The staff take great care when grooming our pet, the staff have wonderful interpersonal skills, the PRICE is affordable and the work impeccable. I absolutely love them!! Mario made my 80lb GSD smell delightful! He also trimmed her down and it helped with the shedding. Just bombed they arent close to cordova anymore.
