I had a very good experience with my online order from Greenwood. All plants arrived as expected and in good health. The bareroot nanking cherries look in good shape for late November and are planted indoors till spring. Plants were very well packaged for shipment. I will use them again!Update: The 5 bareroot Nankings were all planted. One died, but 4 are doing well and one is really booming. All else is good too. I will be ordering again.

Decided to try strawberry plugs instead of bare root, since Ive had little luck with them. Ordered from Greenwood Nursery, and the plants are really gorgeous. Very pleased with their communication, shipping and packing was great, and the plants are green and lush. Definitely will order from them again.

Having seen poor reviews of other nurseries online, I was a little scared to order my dwarf fig online, but this was one tiny enough to live on my patio in warm weather and inside during cold. It arrived in great condition, packaged well, and looking very healthy. Excited to add this to my burgeoning urban garden!

I am surprised at the poor reviews. I had a great experience with Greenwood Nursery. I called them about purchasing a large quantity of dwarf green mondo grass. They gave me a landscaper’s discount since I was purchasing so many. I drove out to them - they had the plants ready for me and loaded them for me as well. The plants are very healthy and the roots are strong. I would definitely recommend them.

EXCELLENT products and customer service! Very happy with my purchase of 4 banana trees! They came meticulously wrapped and were in excellent condition upon arrival! I had to call twice, as I am out of state, and they were VERY kind and helpful! I will definitely use this company again in the future! Highly recommend!

without going into a long and drawn out story after wanting and asking for red butterfly bushes over the phone more than once, i got purple and after a long period of time i was finally informed that their red bushes look more like purple not red even though they are called red and then i was told they didn't have true red bushes.after it is all said and done i paid for two red bushes and got purple. i wish they would have told me that a year ago because i never would have ordered them. so long story short i paid for red and got purple bushes. tried to get my money back but to no avail. there are true red bushes.ps ---i am a Christian and to give them a fair shake the people seemed nice, but i don't feel i got what i paid for and certainly didn't get what i wanted. i will buy elsewhere. there are plenty of nurseries around to buy from.

Ordered 3 small prostrate rosemary. Box left on my doorstep last night. I found it when I let my dog out at 6 am. Package shipped USPS and had been crushed on one end. Inside were my plants rattling around with no packing around them so the dirt had spilled out and their roots were dry. The plants had been stuck in the box with only tape around top edges. Had they been packed properly and in better box might have been alright. . I received no email of shipment so I did not know they were coming. USPS left them outside too.i received a call from Adam who was so nice. Replacing my plants and sending them out right away. Will order from them again. Lovely customer service.

In early November, 2021 I ordered Ozark Beauty Strawberries, 25 bare root plants. They say they will ship when its the right time to plant. They didn't ship until after the first week of December. We are in Maryland so winters can get pretty cold, it felt like is was late to plant strawberries. The root stock looked pretty weak, with most plants being undersized and with little foliage. I planted according to the instructions. When Spring rolled around, all the plants had died, not one survivor. Didn't bother calling customer service based on the horrible reviews. Won't buy here ever again.

Ordered 30 American Pillar arborvitaes in March 2022 but did not want them delivered until late April because I live in Wisconsin. Received my arborvitaes on time as requested. Fast forward to August, I had one arborvitae die on me. I called customer service and they shipped me two! Great customer services and great prices!

Very disappointed. Recived an email stating they had no more bare root strawberries. Only solutions they offer are- recive s fraction of strawberries planted or wait until October. First, I live in Alaska. We normally have snow by October. And second, why should I take a cut due to this companies blunder?I responded with a request for a refund. With no response I go online to my account to see that they are refunding a fraction of the cost. They didn't refund shipping and handling, totalling $15.95. It never shipped! So they pocketed that.I still have yet to see the refund. But I do see they are a shady business. Pethapse better in person, but online ordering doesn't assure business.All you guys needed to do was 100% refund me for your blunder and I would have been a returning customer. But, from the reviews here, it seems I'll be lucky to even see a portion of the money back.Shady business.

I got 3 seedlings in 2 days, from Tn to PA. The trees were healthy. No leaves were lost in the shipping. The ball mass was intact. They were 18 inches tall. Great company

This month (2022/2) I brought 4 kinds of cherry tree. The communication was wonderful, and also the shipping was sent out as they promised. Then, I received my plants within 2 days! I was impressed with their service. I highly recommend this nursery.

If your plant from Greenwood Nursery dies shortly after you've placed it in an entirely suitable nurturing garden environment as recommended for that particular plant, prepare for a maze of broken refund promises, confusing emails that seem designed to make you just give up, and inevitably not ever getting refunded for the dead plant (even though you've been promised a refund by Greenwood). One year later Greenwood has not issued refund and continues to (eventually) send incomprehensible messages full of unreal excuses, such as they already sent me a replacement plant, which is a complete untruth. I'd never order from this place again.

I had ordered two hidcote lavender plants to be shipped to Pennsylvania during the height of the Covid pandemic. At first I was a little hesitant with my order after receiving an email that stated my order could be changed and delayed. I decided to keep my order and write an email expressing that I really only wanted that one type of plant. I recieved a quick reply that my order would not be changed. At this point I was at least happy my order would be filled. A few weeks later, however, I received a phone call that my order was being shipped. I am very thankful for this personal touch. Greenwood did not charge my card until that point. A few days later I recieved a call from my future mother in law that the plants had arrived. They did not have blooms, but were very healthy. She immediately planted them. Today I got the first picture of their blooms and they are absolutely gorgeous. They were worth the wait of shipping to be able to send such beautiful and healthy plants.

Ordered online. Communication was not super fast and I understand they are experiencing COVID-related delays, but once my plants finally did ship they arrived the next day. They were packed very well with small ventilation holes in the sides of the box, lots of packing peanuts for cushion, and tape all around the 4" pots to keep the dirt in place. One or two leaves fell off in transit, but the plants otherwise look healthy and whole.

NEVER AGAIN! Everything about my order was a complete fiasco, including getting my refund. I had to wait for a very long time for my order and when it finally arrived, I found it was shorted quite a bit. Less than half the plants I ordered were included. They said replacements would be another long wait, so I opted for a refund. I waited for that and it never came. I had to be very proactive or I would never have gotten it. I also had to ask for refund of the shipping for the missing plants! THEY REALLY SHOULD HAVE REFUNDED THE ENTIRE ORDER AFTER WHAT HAPPENED.

Ordered in October 2020 to be delivered in March 2021. It was May 7th before delivery. It is very frustrating to be told they will ship out multiple times and nothing happens. Their website says stress free but that was not the case. Staff has been nice but having to make changes due to non availability and i had to be the one making calls to get the order taken care of. At one time my order showed as cancelled. I did not recieve any of the gallons ordered. I had to settle for small containers. I was trying to buy local. I am glad it is over.

Zero Stars Is Deserved. I ordered two Bi-color Butterfly Bushes on April 29th. My card was charged May 6th. After two emails, two phone calls with Susan, and over a month’s time, they shipped May 27 and were received on June 1st. The box was dented, but no big deal. They were in a box for at least four days, but seemed fine, still okay. One plant stem is snapped, but the other is perfect. I sent an email that afternoon with photographic evidence of the box and broken plant. I was cordial and understanding as I just wanted a replacement for the product I paid for. I received this response from Steve over returns, “A dent in the package doesn’t seem to have done a lot of damage. The damage to a plant your describing will not hurt the plant just cut the branch where it broke and it will be fine. The more you trim shrubs the fuller the plant becomes.” The problem is I paid for a healthy plant of a certain height. The plant no longer meets those requirements. Also, if the dented box didn’t cause the damage, that means your facility knowingly sent me a broken plant. I will be calling a manager and updating later. Ridiculous. Update: Anna returned my call yesterday and was willing to ship a replacement in exchange for the broken plant. The only Butterfly bushes they have left are the Dark Knight Butterfly bush. I was willing to wait for a Bi-color, but they will no longer be growing them this season. A purple bush will not match the rest of my landscaping. How is this a suitable replacement when it’s not even the same bush??? I kept the broken plant and will try to revive it. I think my order kept getting skipped until all they had left was a broken plant; they already had my money, so why would they care? I won’t be doing business here again. Avoid this retailer.

Disappointing experience. After I placed an online order, it was crickets and tumbleweed. I emailed twice and received no response. I finally called and they said that 1/2 of my order on back order and they didn't know what the situation was (i.e. if it would come back in stock within the season). I canceled my order. The receptionist said she wasn't sure if she could send a confirmation email about my canceled order. Lesson learned.

I would highly recommend Greenwood Nursery. I have purchased bushes from them a couple of times. Specifically Patriot Rose of Sharon. Their packaging is exceptional and it gets to you very quickly which is a necessity when you're dealing with plants. They stand behind their products which is even more exceptional given the fact you've dealing with an online company. The people nice and very accommodating especially Adam. I know I will order again from them and you won't be disappointed if you do as well!

Bought 1 gal. Tater Tot schrubs from a nursery in Michigan. They only had 19 I needed to order 6 more 1 gal. Tater Tots from Greenwoods Nursery, even though I had to pay 20% more for the same schrubs bought from the other nursery I was satisfied that I could find the one's I needed to finish my landscaping project.Once the Tater Tots arrived from Greenwood I immediately called to report my complete dissatisfaction with their schrubs. They were half the size and scrawny looking as compared the the one's from the other nursery even though they cost me $7 per schrub more.I told them that they may have been in 1 gal. containers but they were definitely not one gal. quality or size. I carefully boxed up the schrubs and shipped them back but was still charged over $44 for shipping. I know they say any returned orders will have to pay shipping, but I believe they knowingly shipped me poor quality plants trying to make an extra buck and that they knew the schrubs were not the quality they should have been.By the way, I found the same Tater Tot scrubs by Proven Winners at a local nursery for $9.00 that looked much better than the over $44 each with shipping cost from Greenwood's. I am very dissatisfied with the way I was misled by Greenwood Nursery as to the size and quality of their schrubs and would have never ordered the higher priced product from them to begin with if they were honest with me about their quality.I will never do business with Greenwood's Nursery under any circumstances.Gary Brackin

I placed an order online. Communication was minimal. It was difficult to get a response from my inquiries. For several weeks I was promised “this week” it would ship. I eventually cancelled my order of which I received a refund for ~10% of what I had been charged. I’m still trying to get that resolved. Maybe they are better in person, but online orders are unorganized to an unacceptable level.

I ordered some creeping raspberries from them. The post office lost my package. When I notified Greenwood Nursery they took care of it right away and I received my beautiful, healthy plants a couple of days later.

Ordered 5 American Pillar Arborvitae and they were shipped with the roots in a plastic bag with no moss or material to keep them moist. Two of the plants died immediately. Contacted them with numerous email at two accounts and two phone messages to be put on Adams desk. No response over 5 weeks of effort. Avoid this company.

I purchased a few river birch trees online and a couple of days later an employee called me telling me they were out of stock but he would send the same item in a larger more mature tree for the same price. Going the extra step makes a customer for life . Thanks

Arrived on time and good quality. Now we waited and see how they survive. 25 caragana.Follow Up - Every one of them died. Started our strong, watered them regularly and they turned yellow and died.
