Not necessarily the dentist or hygienist, but the billing agent, brook was horrible. Never got our insurance correct and of course blamed it on everyone but her lack of competence. Never had issues before or after we had dental care there. Even called our insurance company, told of the issue that she kept sending us bills, they said never received a statement from this office. Said she could even fax the service that day, due to timely billing and they would pay. She never did it, but continued to bill us. Over a year and a half now, we paid just to get her off our back and are processing a grievance right now. Never received an EOB, why, because it was never billed.Incompetent!

Still my dentist and I still love them. The new dentist in the shop is a very nice young woman who seems more than competent to do the job. I'm looking forward to more examples of her work. I already know Dr. K IS AMAZING, so I'm certain she'd not choose a new partner who is less than excellent. I drive a bit to get there, and it is so worth it. The whole team there- hygienists, dental technicians, front desk staff and the dentists are great folks to trust with your dental care. Love them all so much!

Honestly, my visits to the offices at Lookout Dental are always excellent and my recent “coronations“ were no different. I am always appreciative of the warmth and personalized attention I receive from each and every dental and administrative professional at Lookout Dental but I am equally struck with the superior quality of dental and oral care I receive. The offices are extremely pleasant and clearly outfitted with updated and cutting edge equipment and technological innovations that streamline whatever processes are administered. However these technical advancements do not outshine the consistently thoughtful, respectful and mindful personal treatment I have come to rely on as a dental patient at Lookout Dental. SallyBurke

Truly a five experience . Every single person at the office was exceptionally pleasant and professional. They went above and beyond to make me comfortable during what could have been a really miserable experience (root canal). I drove two hours both ways for my visit and I will not go to any other dentist.

Karen is the greatest dental hygienist ever! I’m not a fan of going to the dentist and have incredibly sensitive teeth. She goes above and beyond to make sure I’m comfortable and have a good experience. Everyone in the office is friendly and helpful.

We are new to the area and I had a dental need that came up unexpectedly. They were able to fit me in during December and were super helpful. The dentist and the entire staff were very professional and nice. The prices are in line with what I expected to pay. They even suggested a vet for our dog. We have found our new dentist and that is a great feeling. Highly recommended if you need dental work.

I have been under the care of Dr Kirkendahl since she moved her practice to Lookout Mountain and I have recommended her to several friends. Her skills are up to date with current techniques and the biggest compliment I can pay her is, "she is painless!" She did 2 implants that took almost a year to complete and while the thought of what she had to do was disturbing, the actual process was pain free!! Really! I believe in good dental care and go for regular cleaning and my hygienist. Karen, is the best. The entire office and dental staff get a five star rating. They are all great!

Unfortunately not the best dental experience. I had gone in to get a crown put in after a root canal. The crown was not sealed properly and it was apparent that it was forced in. This caused a major toothache one year later. I had to get the crown replaced and more decay was found underneath. Further, lots of cement was left behind that caused inflammation in my gums. The staff were friendly, nevertheless. Yet, I can't say I am happy with the work done on my teeth.

We're new to Lookout, so it was awesome to find a dental office without having to drive into town. Originally, my son, 6, had an appointment for next week, but due to cancellations they were able to fit him in today! Perfect timing, since my son's first day of school is tomorrow! Everyone was so nice and professional. They made us feel welcome and even played along when my son kept telling them he was a Candy Monster lol! Can't wait for my appointment!

The service I received was professional and courteous. I was sent a reminder of my appointment and paperwork to complete ahead of time. I was greeted by name on my first visit and taken back on time. My hygienist gave clear explanations of all she was doing and frequently asked for feedback. She and the dentist answered my questions clearly. A very pleasant experience!

I love Lookout Mountain Dental. I've been going there for about 7 years, and it's always been an overwhelmingly positive experience. The ladies in the front office are friendly and efficient. The hygienists are amazing, and both Dr. Kuyrkendall and Dr. Watlington are fantastic. I had my first filling there today, and even though I was freaking out, Dr. Kuyrkendall and her assistant were calming and patient, and it was not bad at all. I don't even know why I was anxious about the filling; the office is expertly run, and I always feel at ease there. One more little thing: everyone in the office calls me by the name I go by (not my legal first name) which never happens in medical offices. It's just is another way that Lookout Mountain Dental knows and cares about their patients.

Our family have been patients for at least 30 years. I guess that speaks volumes in itself. They are wonderful people, very honest and very through. Very concerned about our dental and physical health. Lindsey is the hygienist ( and is awesome)we use and is so kind and explains everything. Brooks works the office and she is soooo kind and helpful when making appointments or have insurance questions (also awesome). Dr’s Watlington and Kuyrkendall are OUTSTANDING and very concern about their patients. Lookout Mountain Dental Center is a place that you feel comfortable with.
