After more than a dozen visits, this store is always clean, well stocked, and friendly. I especially recommend the bagged fruit. Unlike some stores I have been in, if it looks ripe, it is.

Most of the time no problem, pretty easy to get through and helpful people. But the last couple times I have went for dog food there is something always blocking the entrance way of the aisle and then today this man I think a manager just sat there in the floor knowing we wanted through and didn't offer to get out of the way instead I took it like I was in his way and he knew we was looking for something specific and never offered any help this is why I only give 4 stars for today

Nice clean store, well organized. Good selection of many everyday items. Better than going to a gas station or drug store when you don't want to go to a big store, but not as good as a supermarket for full on grocery shopping. As I get to know the place well I know when to go there and when I need to go elsewhere to get things on my list. Still, much better than most dollar generals.

Watch out for the produce. It's not always fresh. Especially the avocados & lettuce. I've had bad of each the last four times I've shopped there. Other than that, I like DG.Update: A very long time has passed since my previous review at the Livingston Dollar General Market and sad to say, nothing has changed for the better. One week ago, I spent quite a bit of money in groceries, there. Two days later, I cut into the lettuce and the center of it was dark; brown & mushy. Then I cut into an avocado and found the same thing. It too was rotted. Curious to see what the other avocados looked like, I cut into them. Three out of 4 avocados were rotten! I also bought a 5 lb. bag of Dole Russet potatoes. Ninety percent of the potatoes are soft; not firm as they should be. The majority of the potatoes are shriveled and hard. As I proceeded to peel the skin from the potatoes to make potato salad, I became infuriated. The inner/outer part of the potatoes had way too many black spots on them. I was so pissed off. Also, I bought several 15 oz. cans of whole kernel yellow corn. Unbeknownst to me, the bottom of one of the cans popped while stored in my pantry with the other cans of veggies, that I bought the same day. Well, just yesterday, I realized that one can had popped from the bottom and made a mess, I took EVERYTHING out of my pantry to clean the sticky black mess left by that can. AND THATS NOT ALL! I've bought milk that has spoiled only after a few days of purchase and before the expired date stamped on it! What the hell is going on with Dollar General in Livingston? There is NO excuse for the lack of concern and decency that Dollar General in Livingston has/has not, for it's customer's. NO EXCUSE AT ALL! Some second-hand thrift stores sell shoddy, used up shoes and clothes. Some Dollar General Market stores sell old, rotting foods.I am sorry that this review is negative, truly, I am. I like D.G. Market in Livingston and I will continue to shop there for other things. But for now, I'll pass on the produce & dairy.

I am very unhappy with the experience I had at this location. The manager Tyler wanted to take a simple conversation and turn it into a scene at the front of his store. He belittled us and treated the cops on us. We had purchased the wrong item and when we went to return not even 10min later once we realized it was not what we needed he refused us. I have read other negative reviews about him, and I’m not sure how he is still a manger at this location. Please be very careful shopping at this location.

I wanted my receipt, the machine ran out of receipt paper. They said they couldn't give a receipt. Very unprofessional they could give my money back and did it again or hand written receipt.they just stood there and look at me.

It's a good stop for general goods who would of thought? It's not bad but its definitely convenient, the store has some nifty qualities however it's kinda boring and the floor after a bit did hurt my feet but it's a general store it has your needs haha

The employees are awesome! Especially the ladies at the checkout. So professional & personable & helpful. They work so hard & go out of their way to assist. I love the DG Market in livingston TN.😊 Thank you for all you do!

I have never in my whole 35 years of life been to a place that is so unprofessional. They wouldn't even give me a receipt. Because the night before I was in there and yea I use the digital coupons and they said they took off for the coupons and when I get to my car with my stuff and the receipt I looked at it and they did NOT take off for anything. And after going back in to show them no coupons were even taken off for ANYTHING they still wanted to argue with me and after about 20 mins of arguing they finally gave me the money back that should have been taken off the 1st time. And today they refused to even give me a receipt and I only spent maybe $30 to $35 and got charged $53.23 which is way more than I spent. And after telling them it was wrong they suddenly couldn't print out the receipt and I didn't get the digital copy of the receipt sent to my phone like I always do. So you tell me who is getting ripped off here.

This is a great little place. It has awesome produce and often times will have really good sales too. Sometimes their prices even beat Wal-Mart! I like going in here when we go through Livingston.

This place is decent clean, organized also friendly service ..glad the bathrooms are up front and well kept Instead of walking 9 miles all the way to the back to a dingy, gross bathroom like cookeville dg market

Strawberries/fruit aren't good quality. Most of the time they are almost rotten, and dont bother going there to buy balloons with the intention of getting them blown up with helium there. Your cashier will look at you like you have just spit in her face.. I had to wait for over 30 minutes the other day so I could have them for my little boy's first birthday party because the cashier didnt want to do it and kept hoping from task to task. Had it not been his first party, I would have left, and not came back. I shop here on a weekly basis due to it being close. . I called the general manager on the phone, and thankfully he came and aired them for me.

This is a nice clean store. Food products are limited, but you pretty much find what you need. Its very conveniently located right off of 111 hwy. Also, the employees are very nice.

It's like the regular Dollar General's, but on steroids. DGM has a nice selection of your every day products. Wider inventory of household, cleaning, clothing & food. Plus they carry fresh produce. Same low prices as the other DGs.Great location.Great parking.Livingston's WalMart.

One of the few grocery stores in the area if you are staying at the lake. Prices are a little higher everywhere in town since there aren’t too many places to go. This place had some of the lowest prices.

This establishment is a great addition to my true hometown. It saves residents of Livingston from making the twenty mile drive to Cookeville to pick up things usually found at Walmart. You can get fresh food and select from a much wider variety than your typical Dollar General or Dollar Store. And you won't have to pay a ridiculous premium for your merchandise--although I will say, if you live in Livingston and need a lot of items, it will probably serve you better to make the drive to Cookeville.

Quick shop on one side of town otherwise I go to Food Lion being Food Lion has more variety but if you just need something simply and quick then this place is perfect.

Workers are rude. Don't bother asking them questions about the products that they have on the shelves, much to much of a problem for them and besides they'll give you the wrong answer anyway.

It is a great store they have pretty much everything I need. I do my shopping there all the time whether it be for food or cleaning products.
