absolutely fantastic mechanics shop!!!! they care, they listen and they fix!!! the sleep apnea technician is very helpful also! we have taken our truck to other terminals and NEVER had the issues resolved!!! today they were!!! thank you again lenoir city tn mechanics shop for your efficiency!!! michael and sam and everyone else who fixed our truck; and the people in the morning who sent us to Freightliner of Knoxville who were fantastic!( just a suggestion to management- maybe get some dog kennels for the drivers who have dogs and are getting their trucks fixed - they can’t go get food and have to bring the dogs into the terminal)

This is a very great company to work for, what I like and love about Shaffer is I always have a preplan before I'm empty thank you Crete/Shaffer. Other carriers can learn a lot from this company great equipment and excellent maintenance system great asset management and great people, and the most part you don't see any of the drivers complaining says alot about a company. I loved my job with Shaffer Travis was fantastic an he was one of the best asset mgrs ive ever had if he told to drive my truck into a brick wall I'd do it the whole group at West Memphis was high class Beau and Gwyn are as good as it gets. Eric Kutter was a Fantastic person and so was my terminal mgr at Indi Mike Brown was a Rockstar I really loved Shaffer an I loved the job but the way I was let go was a real punch 👊 in the gut I obviously don't feel like I was treated fairly an I don't think I was at fault it hurt really bad because I really liked the people and the job

Driver for Crete tried to run me off the road on East Bound I-40 in Tennessee at mile marker 298. Called 921…no response!Called Crete…no response!! Called 2 days later and hardly any interest. Said they would not bother to call me back about it. So bad as they could hardly care!Filed a report with Federal Motor Carrier and hardly a response.Horrible drivers these days!!This jerk passed me on the left where it was only gravel and grass swerving around and I had a truck blocking me in on the right. This guy needs to be taken off the road!!

I had a chance to visit the terminal while in Tennessee. During my visit the parking area was being updated, so normal parking wasn't so normal.The good thing is they're gonna have a beautiful parking lot when it's done. The area for drivers and visitors is comfortable. There's a table and benches available. Although there isn't a designated walking path, you are able to walk your furry friends.On a fun note: there's a soft pretzel tradition on Fridays. Yum!

I am not going to review the terminal. Just the company as a whole. I was there about 2 months maybe longer. You can make more stocking shelves at Wal mart then driving company at this place. They gave me a old truck that's about to go out the fleet over 400k miles on it. They charging me for cleaning and small imperfections. I will never ever look back this company way. Is there any decent companies anymore.

They sent me to TN for orientation and cut me after the first day for a 6 year old misdemeanor. They said food and hitel was supplied. We were in a 1 astar getto hotel and then the second day they didnt provide food or a way to get food. They said they pay for orientation and reimbursement for fuel in rental. I spent $100 for fuel and was there 2 days. They gave me $170 on a EFS card and then said that was lucky i got $70 for the 2 days there. This is a company that ranks right therw with Western Express. They are a joke. I had a job before i even left there. And keep in mind i have a perfect driving record and no CSA points. JOKE of a company. The CEO should be ashamed of the way they handle business in Knoxville.

The company overall is pretty good but they use Tennessee Occupational Health for their DOT physical in Lenoir City terminal. I guess they have a contract with them because they have an Physican or PA on site. My sister was told that she didn't past her physical because she didn't get on or off the table without holding on to the bed, but was never told that she couldn't put her hands down. Yet Crete requires 3 points of contact to get in and out if the truck. Crete seriously need to reevaluate their contract with Tennessee Occupational Health. Just wondering how many potential drivers was told the same thing?!? 🤔

Always over packed with not many accomodations would be great to have some more restrooms since people tend to stay in the toilets for longer then needed ..some of the mechanics are some of better ones of the companies terminals. Staff helps when asked ..

This is the best mechanic shop in the whole Crete Fleet my radiator was cracked not only did they changed it out but they noticed I had break issues and changed that to wow that wouldn't have been done at any other shop you say this is wrong and that's all that will get fixed and looked at I'm bringing my truck here from now on thanks guys. Dave you the man.

Great terminal. Nice shower facilities. Friendly staff in shop and offices. Only complaint is that everyone hangs out at the driver's entrance to smoke. Every time I walk in and out to either where my truck is parked or to the shop I have to walk through their second hand smoke, which gives me a bounding headache. Fix this and you'll get 5 stars!

Good company, but horrible terminal. Don't bother cleaning any truck you turn in at this terminal, as you will be charged $150 cleaning fee either way, even after 6 hours of cleaning, scrubbing and vacuuming. Worst terminal manager in the entire industry.

This is one of our newest terminals. Nice clean showers, laundry facilities, large drivers lounge with t.v. along with a dining area and plenty of room to park. The staff is very helpful and you feel welcomed here. The safety personnel has a way of keeping you interested and assisting you in becoming an above board driver. You will love it in Lenoir City! This terminal is horrible! My husband came to this terminal as I went along with him and it was a waste of time. He had orientation on Wednesday so far they treated us well. We were fed and the hotel was OK. My husband recruiter chad never told my husband about Crete having 40% stick shift and 60% automatic. So, my husband has no restriction on his license but he told them he isn’t comfortable with stick shift because he drove automatic for 1 + year. You cannot tell me how someone is gonna be on the road for 3 weeks and they cannot have preference on what truck they want. They do care and it seems that there is a discrimination into this terminal. The rest of the guys that was into this terminal they gave them rentals to find an appropriate truck for them. But for my husband they told him if he doesn’t take 2016 stick shift truck that he can go. They do not care if you get in trouble with the law because you aren’t comfortable with stick shift. BTW they lied about have only recent truck. Everything about this company is a LIE. Everything is there way or no way. They want to have total control of what truck you should have even though my husband never drove a stick shift truck. You have to be ashamed of yourself. I was glad my husband left the company because he should of not been treated the way you guys treated him.

Exemployee just rating the terminal. By far the best mechanics in the company. They fixed problems that required multiple visits to other terminals and dealer shops. The rest of the facilities are top notch too. Only one complaint their car borrowing rules are insane. You get an hour and every place you can go is 10 to 15 minutes away. The reasons for the time restrictions are even more insane. Take an uber to avoid any unpleasantness if you're in the shop.

There are a lot of negative reviews on the web. As with every job, it is what YOU make of it. If you want to be a company driver, this is one of the best companies out there. Also, if you want to BUY (not lease) a truck, they have some for sale. I left to pursue my business goals, but if I ever wish to be a company guy again, this is the place I’ll go.Thank you Crete Carrier, for all that you have helped my family achieve!

ive worked here for nearly 2 years now, if youre a good driver and do your job you won't have any problems. i was reading some of the negative reviews and just had to laugh....i wont bash anyone but i will say this: if you come on board with a nasty my way or the highway attitude, this isnt the place for you. you will most likely be squeezed out. here, we all work together and communicate with one another. you need to show respect to get respect.i have never missed home time. i am paid well and always have the miles i want, i have good, well maintained equipment, i have my dogs, as well as a fridge and an inverter. our trucks come with opti idle.most new drivers will be given an older truck, wait it out a couple of months and you will of course be upgraded. they go by senority here meaning the drivers who have already put in the work get first pick and that's how it SHOULD be.

I'm a driver for Crete Carriers Shaffer side. I get a bit angry at times but over all I love working here. Sign up with Crete and you will get .65 cents a mile plus a .02 surge pay per. So I had just passed dot medical certification with no problems but go to orientation here on September 1-3 only for them to tell me that they can't give me a medical certification cause of some meds that I've been on for years with zero problems, and they say I have sleep apnea and make me get this $900 cpap machine. I very used the machine every night for a month with the exception of 3 nights because I was camping. They sent me home to get it all taken care of. My Dr sends them all the information they need and takes me off meds. Then I return for orientation again only for them to tell me yet again that they can't certify me because I haven't been using the machine, which isn't true. They won't recognize any other Dr's medical certification except their own nurse practitioner. But they require a driver to have a medical certification before attending orientation only to give the driver another dot physical to over ride the drivers already valid certification. Drivers don't waste your time with this company.

My husband currently works for them. In the last 3 months we've had 2 weeks with no pay 2 with negative pay and his truck has been in the shop 5 times. Nothing that was promised has been upheld and even with his pay increase he'll still be making less than everyone hired on with him . He has never refused a load and continues to get subpar miles!

This company does not care about drivers and their family. Home time is terrible. Sure you can put in tour days and remind them but they will consistently get you home 3-4 days after your request. How can you make plans for home time when you are never sure when you will be there!? Also the management at this location is hateful and self righteous. The terminal in PA should be a standand...this one dosent even come close. The only plus is the abundance of parking avaliable.

CCC is a large trucking company I drive for. They are a good company, I make a good paycheck and in 2 years now I've had no issues getting home. I'd give 5 stars but nobody's perfect.
