I waited over a month to get an appointment with Ashley today to groom my 14 year old, 5 pound Yorkie, Zora. Ashley refused to groom her because she said she was “too excited” and “fidgety”. Zora has been getting groomed her whole life and actually loves baths and adores people. I have never had a groomer complain that she was unmanageable, and she is well trained and listens to commands like sit, stay and lie down. She has never been aggressive in her little life. She rolls over on her back and naps when I brush her or clip her nails. She literally sleeps all day and has geriatric issues. I spoke with the manager Sarah who said that it’s their policy not to groom fidgety dogs and then alleged that there was a note on the account that Zora had been a problem before, which has never happened. I have never even taken her to Petsmart in Knoxville before and only changed from my regular groomer because she is out of town for the holiday. I intend to have her write a review of how well behaved my dog is to supplement this review. The fact that they lied makes me suspect that their behavior is racially motivated, so people of color beware. I even offered to come stand there to see what the issue was and was denied.If a groomer is not prepared to handle a 5 pound, well-behaved dog, then I submit that they should not be in the business of grooming dogs period. I can bathe her with one hand. Petsmart lost a lifetime customer and will never get another dime from me.

We had to take our 14 year old Chihuahua to get a checkup and he is very uncooperative with anyone trying to do anything to him but the staff were so patient and caring. They took their time and made sure he received the best care possible. We are so grateful for them! They explained everything to us thoroughly and made sure our little guy was feeling great by the time we left! We were so happy that we went to the pet store section and purchased a wonderful new leash and collar for him. Thank you so much to the entire staff for really making our family happy and worry free!

Me and my boyfriend went in tonight to get a fish with no idea what to do or how to take care of it. Colin assisted us right away as he went the back to get more fish for us to look at and was very knowledgeable. He went over what to do and what not do. He also gave us a pamphlet on the fish so we would know more. Very impressed with his customer service!! Shout out to Colin!!!

I have taken my mini schnauzer a few time to get groomed. Every-time she comes back very uneven. I ask for a Schnauzer cut and I get a totally butchered cut. I can’t get into a REAL grooming business cause they are all booked up. So I have to settle for this.. please let me know if after looking at the photos this looks even or a schnauzer cut.Also her nails are not shaped or filed of any kind! I paid extra for a toothbrushing but I don’t think they did anything. The greens did more then they did!I won’t be back! I would rather did it myself then have a license person that’s incompetent!Billie was the “groomer” if you can call her that!

Zarika does an awesome job grooming our English Golden. She is very loving and he comes out so much better smelling and whiter than when he goes in. (We get give extra for the whitening shampoo). He is so soft and fluffy when he just gets a bath. She trims around his feet also. Super sweet to him. We have found our lady!

Rayne grooms my dog and does a wonderful job. I have a Sheltie which is sometimes difficult to groom but Rayne knows exactly how I like her groomed. She always takes the time to discuss any issues my dog may have and makes sure to spend a little time with us before I leave. And then when Emily is finished Rayne always makes sure to let me know how she did.

I used to really enjoy going into this store, but lately it seems no matter what location we go to it is hard to find any employee to ask questions to or to get help on reaching a product or checking the availability and when you do find one they just so happen to not have the knowledge to answer your questions.

Our dog is 4 months old, Aussie/Border Collie mix. Brought him in to get his nails trimmed, he played with several strangers and made a new friend with a little boy about 7. I dropped him off and sat outside the window and they knocked on the window about 30 seconds into his appointment. He had scratched the worker and she refused to trim his nails. Please don’t go into grooming if you can’t do the job.

I have always like to visit this store while shopping in turkey creek but today however while looking at the fish tanks I noticed a bunch of fish were dead! I understand things like that happened but the tanks were very dirty and not very well taken care of. A bunch were stuck in the little vents inside the tanks so I'm not sure if that's how they died or what. They did have a sign that said fish sales have been suspended until 5/18 so I'm not sure if their just not keeping them up or what the problem is. However it was very sad to see, as my 5 year old is the one who pointed it out to me. I have attached some pictures from what we seen.

The young lady that helped us with the fish was so nice and kind and very good with our 3 granddaughters. I wish I would have gotten her name. We were holding her up from going to lunch but she was very patient with the girls. She was awesome and has amazing customer service skills.

This is lengthy, but for those who aren’t keen on reading, don’t go here. There’s loads of dead fish in the tank and the customer service is awful.I don’t typically write reviews but this store is absolutely the worst pet store I’ve ever been to. I was looking for fantail goldfish a view weeks ago and, while the store provided a wide selection of colors, I noticed that there were at least three dead fish in the tanks. Not only that, but the tanks are extremely overcrowded which is to be expected of pet stores, but this store has a ridiculous amount of fish in a tank. There were probably about six goldfish in what looked to be a five gallon and which any competent person would realize is nowhere near enough room for even one goldfish, and while my knowledge is very limited on any species of fish outside of goldfish, I have no doubt that the tank conditions were poor for the other fish as well. Today we went to go pick up a few mystery snails for our tank and there even more dead fish, there was at least one in every other tank, a lot of the tanks were also incorrectly labeled but that’s the least of the many problems this store has. I know that fish die in pet store tanks every day but it shouldn’t be this bad. It’s disgusting to see and 100% avoidable if you do the bare minimum tank maintenance while the fish wait to be put into proper tanks. That’s not even it, the customer service is absolutely horrid. The only way to even buy fish is to stand in the same spot for 20 minutes and wait for an employee to finally assist you. I will say though, the first time we went here the girl who did eventually end up assisting us was very helpful and honest and even told us about good food brands to feed our fish. However, the girl who gave us our snails was careless when she put them in the plastic container and bagged them. Very happy that the shells didn’t crack from hitting the bottom of the container so hard (you could hear each snail hit the bottom). She also told us that our goldfish could be put with panda catfish despite goldfish absolutely being able to eat the catfish, especially the tiny ones that were on sale (and yes, there were dead snails and catfish in the tanks). She was also rude and clearly wasn’t interested in helping, but, again, that was irrelevant when taking other things into consideration. Please do something about your staff. They clearly have no idea what they’re doing. I understand that it’s probably difficult to sell fish in their appropriate environments due to the wide variety of needs, limited resources, and high demand, but keeping four dead fish in multiple tanks is ridiculous and highlights that you don’t care about the animals you sell. If you want fish, don’t go here. I know nothing about how they treat other varieties of animals, but don’t use this store as anything more than a last resort. I hope to get more pictures of some of the tanks but here’s a picture of a dead fish that I got.

Great People!!I come here regularly to get things for my Cat and the staff is always spot on. Always helpful and patient, only complaint is that they need more people there to help shoppers.Everyone working there has a great attitude and I’m happy to see that!

Our little girl who's name is Lady and is completely spoiled was out of snacks. Pet smart is really the only place that has all the things that she requires. Yorkies have sensitive stomachs and require special types of food at times. Pet smart is the only place ive found that has everything we need, the staff has been wonderful especially Joy the vet tech. Its the quality of care from pet smart that is the icing on the cake.

Dropped our dog off and picked him up with him bleeding in 3 spots. They didn’t do his nails and claimed he wouldn’t let them. Asked for an Airedale haircut and they shaved my entire dog. Would not recommend trusting them with your pet. Lazy grooming and unprofessional staff.
