They did a good job with the bath and nails. The hair on his nose was shaved to the skin, which isn't what I asked for. I had also asked for all the brown hair under his mouth to be cut off. I made a point to stress this because groomers are resistant to cutting this all off. The hair is discolored from the minerals in the water system. I had to have them go back and redo this. They did it but it was easy to tell they didn't want to. I get disagreeing with a customers choice, however if it's not harming the dog you should probably do better keeping it to yourself and doing what was asked the first time.

Groomers tried to convince me of an upcharge to do less. I was not happy. The groom was good. These girls are too young and inexperienced to be grooming and dealing with the customers in my opinion. You should have someone at the desk who knows customer service.

I paid $80 and asked for a face and butt trim and tooth rushing along with a bath. THEY SHAVED HER WHOLE BODY, INCLUDING HER TAIL!!!!!!!!!!! Then when I got there they told me she almost hung herself. She is an 8lb maltipoo and I informed Dez that she lays down when getting groomed. SHE SAID NO PROBLEM!!!!!!!!! So how did she almost hang herself and why wasn't I called immediately. The cut itself is AWFUL. Her hair is very uneven all over. When I picked her up, I was asked if I was happy...I said nothing and just walked out. It is obvious the staff has no training and doesn't know how to handle small dogs that need extra attention when being groomed. I will NEVER be back and will tell EVERYONE I know and on social media about this experience. Petco will not receive I more penny of my money.

Horrible job. Waste of time and money. I scheduled a flea treatment. When I brought my dog in, she barely looked in one spot for fleas, said she didn’t see any, and removed the flea treatment. I asked when I picked him up if she saw any and she said yes but that she “killed them” and still didn’t do the treatment. They also complained about my dog being too anxious and nipping and told me to drug him next time or take him to a different groomer. I have never had a groomer have a problem with him before. He has always had an even temperament and has been praised for it at other groomers. I guess they didn’t have the patience to try to soothe him. But these people were terrible and just wanted to close shop early. Their website says they close at 7 but they were closing early at 6 and kicking people out. Never go here.On top of all of that, the haircut was uneven or what I asked for. That wouldn’t have bothered me if their service was better. They were rude, unfriendly, unhelpful, and lazy.

Groomer did a fantastic job on my dog. However, I was unaware of the surprise add ons to my bath and haircut for my dog. Assuming I was going to pay under $90. The Groomer did not go over added on expenses. She added $40 De shedding deluxe without asking if I wanted it. $5.99 for petco material fee is ridiculous. $7.00 for a shave fee which should’ve already been included in long hair bath and haircut. Not including an asked for tip. I paid double than I do at petsmart. I will not groom back at petco just because I spent almost $140.

Very bad experience, not qualified and too unprofessional, lazy, and they can’t even get a good hair trim for a small sized dog, claiming that a little cute friendly teething puppy was trying to ‘bite’ the clippers, as an excuse to why they could not give her a full hair trim. This is what your job is supposed to be about: knowing how to work through a puppy’s discomfort with patience and skill, but you lack either! Not worth the money or the time. Never go to Petco for grooming!

These folks were so kind and helpful. We were on a road trip and our pup needed a bath really badly. They cleaned him, brushed him and loved him up. Totally recommend this particular PETCO (Knoxville). 💕💕

The main reason I'm rating the awesome Bearden Petco cat groomers high is how well they groom my cats, clipping their nails. Technically, all the groomers are great, really perfect. However, it's more than that - they care, and they treat my cats so respectfully and lovingly. They talk to them beautifully and even let me know when it's helpful for me to be quiet while they work (I was very thankful for that). They also greet me very warmly when I arrive - that is so nice, so authentic. Thank you, Elaine, Desiree, and Alexis!!

Horrible, terrible experience. Do not take your elder dogs there. In fact don't take any dogs there. We made our 3rd appointment for our 2 older girls and suddenly they needed a note from the Vet that they could get groomed, but before we left they said it would be better if they were groomed by a Vet. The groomer was just being lazy and didn't want to work. But if this their policy why did they groom the first 2 times and why didn't they ask for notes then? Or when we mad the appointment? No instead they allowed us stress our 13 year old dogs out by driving them down and then they tell us this.STAY AWAY.

I actually give them a 0. Took my 13 month old shih poo for a cut. Had an appointment book by phone. When we arrived, the groomer came out to look him over and said he was trying to bite her. He is a puppy and is teething, and acting like all puppies and trying to play with her. She said she was going to take him in the room and see how he does. The place was loud, barking and whining dogs. He was terrified. She drug him through the door(he was trying to come back to me) and was gone about 1 minute and brought him back out and said he is still trying to bite her. She said this was their policy. And I explained to her, this could have been communicated on the phone when I made the appointment. The only thing clarified was that I needed to bring his shot records, which I had. Will not be returning and will not ever shop at a Petco. However, I will be giving my money to Petsmart! Way better Customer service skills. And treat your animals the way they need to be treated!

We’ve gone here for years and it was good enough to keep returning. We had trouble getting them to follow the grooming instructions, but I didn’t mind fixing the mistakes myself too much. The problem came this last time when my dog returned without his (rather expensive) flea color. I called about it the next morning and was told it was impossible they lost it and he didn’t come wearing it. That was obviously untrue so I asked to talk with the person who groomed him. I called 4 days in a row and was given various excuses. Finally the manager said the groomer said I told her to throw the collar away. Good grief, seriously? They did give me a free replacement collar, but the blatant dishonesty and the effort it took to get management to pursue the problem was unacceptable. We’re definitely moving on.

Sarah at the kingston pike location has taken care of my baby ever since we adopted her. She is very anxious but she loves Sarah. Sarah is very sweet and patient with her. It makes me feel a lot better about dropping off my nervous baby!

Kayla does a great job with Weezer, even though I know he's probably very wiggly throughout his bath and haircut. She's good about checking with me to make sure he's cut well and will let me know if there's going to be a delay in regards to time. They stay busy so I completely understand and don't mind waiting as I typically don't plan to do anything important when I take Weezer in for his haircut.

Just not worth the cost, paid almost $80 for my great dane. It took them less than an hour it turns out everything they did I could have done myself and saved money. My dogs ears didn't even look like they had been cleaned and for that price I would have thought a brushing would be included but nope. I got her home and spent 20 minutes brushing her myself. I have learned my lesson on paying someone else

The employees there work so quickly for so few of them. Both persons working offered good advice. I must have looked pretty clueless about Cat Calming collars but ended up buying some ideal products because of the advice they gave. I didnt expect knowledge tips but every thankful.

We took our Australian Shepherd in to be groomed. After we picked him up, we noticed that he was cut unevenly and way too short. They didn't blend his head and his tail was uneven, shaved, and clumpy. There are bald spots and some areas are much longer than others. As a result, he is very uncomfortable and continuously scratching himself. We are hoping his coat will grow back the way it was before, and hope this does not cause further skin and coat issues.
