I have a very hyper standard poodle that needs grooming every few months. They've always been able to handle him, and his groomings look/ smell fantastic.Prior to this dog, I had another standard poodle, Buddy, that was a gentle giant. The last time I took him for a grooming he was pitiful. He was 15 years old and had trouble waking due to arthritis. Jimmy, (my favorite groomer) was so tender with him. He even carried my 75 lb baby boy to the car! 💙 That was an act of kindness I'll never forget!((RIP my sweet Buddy))I've used Misty's pet depot for years, going back to their previous location by target. Each time, I've felt as though they truly care for my pet, just as I do.Recently, I learned that they also offer boarding. This will be a Huge help to us during our next vacation! I'm excited to know there's a place I trust to keep my dog while I'm away.I'll typically find a new toy to buy in their shop as a reward for my dog after his grooming. But, they also have food, beds, leashes, collars, and other items for misc other pets.The shop seems to be a bit pricey compared to Walmart, petsmart, Rural King, etc. However, I'm happy to know I don't have to depend on the big box stores for my supplies. There's a good feeling when to know I'm supporting a small mom-&-pop store.

This groomer came recommended by a friend so we decided to give it a shot for our 1 year old golden doodle. She’s has always loved her baths and being groomed so we were not concerned.I picked her up yesterday and although she was very short, I didn’t think anything. Upon arriving home, I noticed that she has hair all over her, her chest was scalped, her neck was cut and bleeding, and her ear was cut and bleeding, I am so confused. While I trusted a groomer to bathe and trim my dog, I also expect to be told if something happens while in their care. We are now having to take her to the vet for proper care and attention. Not to mention her demeanor at home has been very skittish, won’t let us touch her paws/rub her belly, won’t lay down, and this is not like her. She is normally very social, loving, and a little lazy at times.

Always very friendly & helpful! I take my cat there to have her claws trimmed, I like how they double team her, 1 holds & soothes her, while the other trims the nails.

I’ve used Misty’s in the past and I’ve not had any issues. Today is a whole other story. It doesn’t even look like they touched my Aussies paw pads, her butt (in person) looks jagged and butchered. Last time I dropped her off she was there for 2.5 hours. Today she was there for about 30 minutes before they called me to come back and get her. I will be calling to speak with someone about this. $70 for a HALF done awful job is a little ridiculous. If they was having issues with her or something they could have stated that and maybe offered a discount or something for not being able to finish services but they didn’t say a word.Edit: I called today and the person who done her the last time (not this time) said for me to bring her back and he will fix it. I will update my review after we get her back.

Do NOT take your pets to this place. I took my cat there and now he is traumatized. They were instructed to TRIM more than once. They shaved his stomach and wacked up his sides. We adopted Sampson and this was his first Grooming and they were told this. I called and talked to the manager and she said " I will tell the Groomer" Well, after no response I contacted the ASPCA. I am a member. We think the Owners should rectify this immediately. I am NOT going away and I have cried everyday. Please, know that they were told several times JUST TRIM.Pictures sent to the ASPCA also.

Very nice and respectful people I love how they took care of my dog when we left and went out of town I trusted them with my dog and I don't trust too many people and when they groom him I was proud he really don't like when people mess with his toenails trying to clip them but Misty's did it and I want to thank you hey yall be seeing me and Bama again 👍💯

I haven't been in the new location but the website does not indicate much of a selection at all. I was looking for a pet store that offered a variety of cat food brands. This place offers 4.. none of which my cats will even think about eating.

Misty's has some Awesome employees!! The owner is Great!! They take good care of my babies. I've 2 girls they groom.. Jimmy is still fairly new with groomer about 2 yrs or so!! He's improved a lot!! I'm glad I stayed & gave him a chance with my girls!! Our cat gets caps on her front paws & she's really good & quick..

We just took our 2 adopted dogs to get groomed for the 1st time in their entire lives.. They were very well taken care of.. Even our very timid/shy dog was super excited & happy after her grooming ❤ we definitely loved them & will use them again!!! Thank yall so much!! & so many options for yummy treats that looked so good i wanted to eat them!! lol Thanks to everyone for making the experience great & we will definitely be coming back <3

This was my first and last visit to Misty’s Pet Depot. I mainly chose them because they had availability to fit my current work schedule and their pricing seemed like a decent value.When I called to make the appointment for my girls the person on the phone was super nice so I felt like I was in store for a good experience. That’s where the positive experience ended. My boyfriend took the dogs in for their appointment and told me that he didn’t have a good feeling about it because of the attitude the employees had and a weird smell. They called me around 2 hours after being dropped off to inform me that my mountain cur, Nova was bleeding “a bit” from her nail trim and that they didn’t finish the nail trim due to that. Okay, cool… sounds minor.My boyfriend went to pick them up and was horrified to see that Nova was still bleeding from her paw, and that it was quite bad. He held her while they finished her front paws and she stood there with her head buried in his arms. He sent me pictures when he got in the car and she was still bleeding when he got her home. When I called and spoke to the manager I was told that Nova was very “wiggly” and that she had a scab on her paw that “must have fallen off” but that quick stop had been applied and it should stop bleeding soon. At this point she had been bleeding for at least an hour. Nova is an incredibly calm and laid back dog, but she does pick up on people’s energy so if my boyfriend’s observations of employees having a negative attitude are correct, that is probably why she was “wiggly”. The dog is 8 years old and NEVER has had an issue having her nails trimmed. Does she LOVE it? No. But previous groomers and vets just show patience and kindness and she is FINE. Also, I would have noticed a scab on my dog’s paw, so that tidbit is completely fabricated. I’m appalled at how little was done to try to stop the bleeding. It seems like at the very least they could’ve wrapped her paw so we wouldn’t get blood all over the seat of the car. Fortunately, the bleeding did eventually stop on it’s own.I’m also not sure they included anal gland suppression was done because my other dog is still rubbing her rear end on the ground.I wish I had read some of the owner review responses prior to making an appointment. The unprofessional tone speaks for itself. A word of advice to the owner: review clap backs can be funny/good when the reviewer is totally incorrect, but a defensive clap back for EVERY negative review just shows that you lack the ability to take criticism or accept accountability. So go ahead blame my dog’s “wiggling” for your groomer’s actions… I know that’s not the truth.

Alot of all natural treats and very kind women. I only gave 3 stars due to the pricing. It's rather exspensive as far as treats go. I paid $25 for something that was only $11 at another pet store. They were very helpful when ask questions.

I have shopped at Misty's since Skipper was a puppy (she's now 9 years old). For grooming needs, competitive prices on food & treats, quality toys and friendly staff. This is my favorite pet store. They also offer training classes and support local shelters. 5 doggie bones for sure! 🐶🤗

They are super friendly and helpful. You can tell they love animals. Prices are competitive with other stores. They have dog-training classes.Their inventory and selection aren't great. The store was not dirty, but not clean, either. However, I will continue to shop there to support local businesses. Nice people.

Jimmy is the king of nail trims and an absolute angel!This place is so community driven. I love every single employee. They always treat me so well! They are so gentle and kind with my nervous doggos.I'm moving across town soon and I will make the drive for them. They have fair prices and such a wonderful selection of treats and toys.

This is the best pet store in Knoxville! We’ve been going to Misty’s since before they moved to the new location off of Whittle Springs, and since the move we’ve loved taking our dogs there for grooming. Now they’re doing boarding (which is SO affordable!) and they do a fantastic job.I’m always confident that my babies will be well taken care of by the staff at Misty’s. Support this local business!
