This place is incredible. The front office staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. I’m so grateful to the front office staff for being able to get my dog seen quickly. They love animals here and took amazing care of my three month old puppy when he had an emergency that almost required surgery. Dr. Barry did his exam and she explained the situation very thoroughly which was amazing and comforting since I was worried about my pet. She’s so smart and knows what she is doing. Dr. Disney observed him so closely the next day and called with updates. She knows her stuff too and was so caring and kind. My puppy came home and he’s doing great. I highly recommend Bluegrass Animal Hospital

What an amazing place to take your pet people that care, I was very surprised as I walked in the door. It was so inviting people at the front desk were so kind. The doctor took good care of my cat. I do believe the doctors name was Dr. haddock. She was amazing very caring, so was the assistant I will definitely be bringing my pets back to this office. I also did not have pet insurance and amazing fee so reasonable couldn’t ask for anything better. Thank you all so much for taking care of my cat.

I can not say enough wonderful things about how wonderful Dr Disney has been with one of our dogs. He is reactive and honestly behaves horribly which limits his vet care. She and the staff have been patient and with time have been able to work with his temperament to find the way that works to be able to treat him. We never thought he would be able to have his anal glands expressed or nails trimmed. But that all has become possible. Thanks to you Bluegrass, Dr Moser, all staff, and especially Dr Disney.

We starting using Bluegrass a little over a year ago for our new puppy. We initially used the doggy daycare only but now use the vet and boarding services as well. We only have good things to say. The vets are professional and caring we love the ladies at the front desk and we cannot say enough about the daycare staff. Our Heeler comes home happy and tired and she is genuinely excited to see them. Thank you Christina, Jude, Molly & Keeley for taking such good care of our girl.

I’ve been taking my babies to Bluegrass for almost 20 years. Everyone has always been kind, caring and knowledgeable. They have gone above and beyond more times than I can remember at this point! Dr. Moser did on my first visit. My cat was having an asthma attack, our vets office was far away, I was panicking and Bluegrass was 5 minutes from my house. Even though we’d never been there before Dr Moser made sure he was ok, which took a while, (while also reassuring my husband and I 😊) before sending us home with everything we needed to care for him. We’ve never been to any other vet since! Many thanks and lots of love to everyone there 💕

We have taken 3 of our cats here since July. The first cat we brought in was a kitten who we were told had broken her knee. They put a cast on her and given us some pain medication. They proceeded to have us bring her in every few days to a week and charged us an absurd amount of money to say she is still fine. We decided to stop bringing her because she was clearly recovered and they never even followed up with us about her ever. Even upon return visits they did not care that we stopped bring her in without even saying why we stopped.The main reason I am writing this review, however is because of our most recent visit. Our cat was caught beneath a recliner when someone was putting the recliner back into it's normal position. The cat was clearly hurt. We noticed that her right side was sticky and it was causing her a lot of pain to touch it. When we brought her in the staff at Bluegrass acted as if we were over reacting for even bring her in. They said there was no signs of bleeding nor broken bones. Fast forward a few days later and our cat has a huge bald spot on her side and a giant scab the size of a tennis ball. What is worse is that over the next day the scab is getting even bigger. We call back in and ask why this was not discovered and Bluegrass told us it must be a separate issue and they wanted us to bring them back in. We informed them if their solution was to bring the cat back in and get charged a bunch of money yet again then we would go somewhere else. Without any attempt at retention, they said best of luck and got off of the phone.We took our cat to another vet who told us that our cat had a fever and immediately had to cut open the scab to drain it. It has been a few weeks now and she is still recovering with a giant open wound on her side. We were told this could have been prevented entirely if Bluegrass had taken the time to diagnose our cat and give her antibiotics. They are more interested in our bank accounts then our pets by far. Never will we go back or let one of our loved ones go back here.

We have been with Bluegrass Animal Hospital for the past 8 years. They have taken care of our dog with the utmost care. They have a great group of doctors all who were excellent. We recently had to say goodbye to our beloved pet and again, the entire staff at Bluegrass Animal Hospital showed compassion and understanding during this difficult time. If we ever decide to have another pet, they will be the veterinarians.

I brought my puppy here for the very first time. The facilities were extremely clean and well kept. It had a very calming atmosphere even though it was very busy when we got in. The staff was extremely kind and personable and the vet, Dr. Barry, was extremely kind and helpful as well. She took the time to give advice on how to introduce my new puppy to my old cat and how to curb bad behaviors as well as talking us through everything that she was doing today (vaccinations, physical, deworming, etc.). She also took the time to talk us through an option when my puppy is older to help prevent bloat since he's a German Shepherd. Overall, extremely happy with the service, the staff, the facilities and will absolutely bring my puppy back.

I have taken my guinea pig here for three years. They started charging 12 dollars over the last year half they have went up. I took my pig here today it was 27 dollars. They never tell the customer btw we have went up on prices either if they would have told me before I came in we went up on the price again. I would have said no way. In took him in about 5 months ago it was 21 dollars still to much in my book. I Like this office and it is close 2 my apt but this is ridiculous.

Best Vets Office in Tennessee! Dr. Moser is patient with our baby boy and does such an amazing job taking care of him. We have to visit monthly and we are always treated with so much kindness and compassion. This is the first vets office that we’ve been to in 8 years that we don’t need to muzzle or drug our dog. So thankful for finding Dr Moser and her amazing team!

Highest quality of care. As the owner of 3 dogs (just lost 2 this past summer) Bluegrass Animal Hospital has/had taken care of all 5 of my dogs for the past 6 years. Dr. Disney is amazing and the entire staff is wonderful to our fur babies! I highly recommend them. Old or young, they take great care of them!

I just moved here and my older kitty had slowed her eating down for a few days and I was getting worried. It was a Saturday when I decided I needed to get her to a vet, I frantically called 10 different vets (they all close early on Saturdays) and bluegrass vet worked us in on extremely short notice. They did a great job, and my kitty has perked up after a few days of meds, and they also went out of their way to call me on Sunday saying they forgot to give me a free sample of flea medication and I can come pick it up. I just thought it was super thoughtful to remember that, price was good, they did really good work, and were very nice. I appreciate all you guys do, thank you so much. We will be using you all again!

Our almost 14 yr old cat has never shown any signs of aging but his past weekend it finally started to show, his poor teeth went crazy. One fell out and one broke off and was hanging lopsided. Fortunate we have an amazing vet(Bluegrass Animal Hospital) who saw him on Monday and did a dental extraction, etc. on Tuesday. They took great care of him, great communication with us and even said they wanted to hold off on his vaccinations so they didn’t overload his poor body at once.(We’ll get those updated when he’s ready.) We are so grateful to them for working him in asap. We also have a dog and she is a patient here as well. They always take great care of her and she loves seeing them!!! We board her with them when we go out of town and she always has so much fun. I highly recommend Bluegrass Animal Hospital!

Had a great first experience with our new kitty. Due to COVID-19, they are operating curbside where they work with you over the phone, then take your pet inside to do the exam before calling you and letting you know how it went and bringing your pet back out to you. All of the Bluegrass workers I spoke with were super friendly and helpful and they answered all of my questions. I can definitely recommend Bluegrass Animal Hospital. My kitty and I will be back again for the next checkup.

The staff are friendly and great with my dog, Tucker. I board him there and he always comes back happy and healthy. They are nice and helpful when I call to make his reservations, and I don't have to wait long when I pick him up. I don't trust many people with my fur baby, but I don't have a moment's worry when I leave him with the folks at Bluegrass.

This vet clinic outshines all others in the area and beyond. Their compassion and kindness towards me and my pets starts the minute I walk through the door. Dr Moser always explains in detail what is wrong with my babies. She understands the financial limitations of a retiree and always offers options for their care. She and the staff go above and beyond what other vet clinics In this city as well as other states offer with their love and kindness for my babies.If I ever move again I would not hesitate to come back to Bluegrass for my babies needs no matter the time and cost for the drive.Bluegrass is THE BEST!!!

If your pet never gets sick, then this place is okay. The staff are friendly and it's easy to get an appointment time. They do charge slightly more than most other vet clinics it seems (regular clinic visit base charge is $42.40 not simply $40 for example).I had the experience of having a pet get sick and am very disappointed in the provided care. The vet offered an expensive full spectrum blood panel which I refused because it was easy to cross off many symptoms for some disorders (no blood in urine/feces kind of symptoms for example). The vet would not stop pushing this expensive full spectrum blood panel. When I said I would approve blood tests for more likely problems they stopped offering help for my pet and wouldn't even suggest the more likely causes for the sickness. The vet would not agree to do a smaller scale, more well fitted to the symptoms blood testing. It seemed like they either didn't have a clue what could be wrong or they simply push more expensive testing as their only available options in general. Now I'm going to a different clinic for a second opinion.Finally, they can only treat dogs/cats. They say they can service and give physicals to other animals but they were very unpracticed with handling small animals like rabbits.*UpdateAfter my last visit to Bluegrass, I went to a different vet the next day. My sick pet was diagnosed by physical examination and when I brought up the blood test issue that Bluegrass had been pushing the vet specifically mentioned how there was nothing to indicate the need for any blood tests. The new vet prescribed medicine and a two week treatment and feeding plan with a full month of taking it easy before getting back to normal activity level and dog park visits. The once sick pet is fully recovered and has not had any recurring problems since.

I cannot express how thankful I am for choosing this facility to handle the passing of our beloved dog. Unfortunately, we had to euthanize our companion of over 13 years in February 2021. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, we struggled to locate a place that would allow both me and my husband to be present during the procedure. I simply cannot say enough kind words about this facility and the wonderful staff we encountered. Although saying goodbye to our sweet boy, Colby, was a terrible day we will never forget, the staff made it more bearable to endure. Thank you for the kind hearts and compassion shown to us during this time❤️

I’ve never had a veterinarian be so completely compassionate and understanding. My cat passed away here from kidney failure and they came in just to check on him in his last days and let me visit with him and cuddle him. Dr. Moser is one of the most caring, compassionate, and knowledgeable vets that I have ever known! My animals love coming here and receive extraordinary care. The front office staff (Ashley, Tiffany and Maddie) are courteous, and most of all compassionate.Having two English bulldogs and a pit bull -I am at the office quite a bit-I would not go anywhere else!! If you are looking for the best vet clinic with the best staff in Knoxville-look no further!!
