I cannot say enough good things about A Ruff Joint. The place is always clean. The prices won’t break the bank. She does an excellent grooming job on my pups - but she goes the extra mile. She cares about them. This is the first time I’ve ever had a pup want to go to the groomer. Runs in, jumps up in joy, and follows her into the back. As a dog momma this makes me so happy.

I have heard great things about this place from a variety of people. I took my senior Australian Shepherd with very thick, black fur there to get a bath, deshed, and cut. When checking him in, I appreciated all the obvious precautions for Covid. I had my appointment booked with Hannah. The check in process seemed rushed and I wasn’t able to go in detail of how I wanted my dog to look. I said that the last time I had gotten him cut, I did about 1.5 inches all over and I liked that, but just to do whatever she thought was best during the summer and I wanted no risk of sunburn or overheating. When I came and picked him up, he was shaved almost to the skin. I had not asked for this and was so shocked I did not say anything. I’m sure it was just a miscommunication, but I do not see how shaving a double coated breed is what is best for him. I can see his skin in some areas and I’m very worried that because of his age, it will not grow back properly. They were however nice and the prices were good.

My dog trainer recommended I go here, and Tara does an amazing job with my Old English Sheepdog and goldendoodle! The sheepdog has had some awkward haircuts in the past, since it’s not a common breed, but she knew exactly what to do! He’s also a very nervous, recently rescued dog, but he calms down for her. I love that she doesn’t muzzle the dogs when they are groomed. Thanks Tara!

Tara is wonderful with my dog. She goes the extra mile, my dog does not like getting a bath and Tara makes sure she spends the extra time to try to make her comfortable. Ain’t no large pet store groomer gonna put that much time, love, and attention to each and every pet that comes thru there door, but Tara sure does! I would drive clear across town just to take my “Diva” to have her “spa”day! If I could give her a million stars I would.

First time customer. I was given a price of $25 each when calling ahead based on size and breed. I requested bath, anal glands and nails. The groomer was accommodating and friendly. At first glance, my babies looked great, the price was a bit higher than quoted, $90. I always tip so $100 for 3 pups. Once I had my babies home, I noticed the dew claws were not trimmed. One week later, my baby has torn his dew claw. PAINFULLY heartbreaking. I also wasn't given a receipt, I brought cash as I was unsure if debit/credit cards or checks were accepted.

Seemed nice, a little expensive, but the main problem was that they cut my dog's nails back to the quick and made them bleed. I expected more from a professional.
