Came in for micro crickets and fruit flies though they didn’t have either the guy was super helpful to find us the smaller of the crickets that they had. This new location comparatively to the other one which looks smaller this one looks huge. Overall this would be my go to place.

Been going since they were located in the center of town. I absolutely commend the owner for being the best pet store in the area. Without Pet Cove my pets would not exist and my curiosity of animals would not have grown to what it is today. Thanks for always having what our pets need!

Came in today to get a couple fish. Drove all the way from Bristol. Despite my friend asking for help we could never get service. Stood and waited for longer than 30 minutes. Need to do better or have more staff.

Very friendly and helpful staff. They have all I need for my snakes, including Feeder Mice. It's worth the trip. Prices are a bit higher than the franchise stores, but you get great service here. If they don't have something you need, they'll tell you when they're expecting it. Give them a try.

Absolutely THE best pet store in the tri-cities if you are looking for something you can't typically find at a big chain store. Best selection of fish and exotics in the area. Store always looks and smells clean and the animals are always so healthy looking. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. And if you are looking for something in particular and they don't have it, they can usually get it for you if you request it.

Employees are friendly and can answer any of your questions. I have bought a lot of different fish from here. Large feather fin catfish, upsidedown catfish, and electric yellow cichlid, ton more. Great place to get off the beat selection.

Came there yesterday to get peacock cichlids already had them in the bags and was told by another employee the fish had ick and we couldn't get them. Which I'm very grateful they had said something but the tanks should had a sign on them that they were unavailable.Another employee helped us with getting the other cichlids that we had picked out but the entire time he was trying to do his job other employee kept coming up to him trying to make general conversation.Two of the bags had holes in them and the guy just proceeded to put the popped bag into another bag I'm not sure why they didn't just put the fish in other bag.No apologies or anything for the experience. We've came to this store for quite a few years and don't understand since they have moved what happened to the customer service.

Love this place! The employees are super nice and knowledgeable and there is always a wide selection of products and animals.I've gotten several guinea pigs and a bearded dragon from them and they were very well taken care of and healthy.I would definitely recommend this pet store over any I've been to previously and will continue to do business with them. ❤

I like getting my crickets here, i love looking at their cool animals and bc of them i got to finally got my dream pet. Most of the guys who work here are really nice, helpful and great to talk to. I'm very happy.

Wow is what I said and leaving I said same thing! I was impressed with fish variety (right side). They have more spiders &snakes than anyone should be allowed! I was creeped out and fascinated! (left side) the selection of lizards was impressive too. The prices were a bit on high side. I hesitate to buy fish because there were quite a few dead in multiple tanks. Tanks seem clean and maintained. This is a step above PetsMart for real! The worst part is place is located in a mini Ghetto...

Compared to a lot of pet stores we have in the area they have a variety of selection especially when it comes to fish and fish supplies but they also have a good selection of reptiles and birds. That is my top pet store in the area that I like to shop at.

Don't miss out by misjudging this small building. Once you enter Pet Cove you are in for quite a pleasant experience! Inside you will be greeted by warm and friendly employees that are full of knowledge.When other " Big Box" pet stores did NOT have the fish I had driven 72 miles for! PET COVE did! I find their selection of fish very satisfying. I am pleased with the conditions of their aquariums and that's a big plus for me!Pet Cove works with me in every way possible.I can't wait to go back again soon.THANK YOU PET COVE!

We have been good customers for several years and spent lots of money in this store from buying fish, food, supplies, and a 90 gallon tank. This store has gone downhill since Katelyn and Layla have left. Our last experience is our last experience there. We purchased reticulated hillstream loaches which were $20 each. They all died within the warranty time. We received a store credit to replace the 3 fish. We called many, many times to the point I'm sure we drove the employees crazy. We also came in and checked many times to see if they had received any. They never received any to our knowledge. I asked Tracy if they received reticulated or just the regular hillstream loaches during the 6 months after. She never would say yes or no so I'm going to say no that no they did not. She would only say that they are hard to get. Well, that's not our problem. In that case, you should extend the warranty until you get those in. So our warranty expired after 6 months. We questioned this to Tracy as we were told by several employees that you can only replace the fish with the same type. Tracy starts talking over me on the phone and also did my husband the same way in the store. She then says well you can get any kind of fish with the warranty. It doesn't have to be the same ones. I guess she changed the policy to fit her narrative. Her employees didn't know this as one walked off during Tracy and my husband's conversation at the store because he knew he was one that had told us this also. So needless to say after being yelled at in the store and on the phone that she has lost good customers over $60. We were nice to her but she has terrible customer service. Needless to say, we will not be back.***If you want excellent quality and selection of fish, supplies, ect, go to Aquatic Marine in Knoxville. It's only an hour and a half away. It's well worth the drive, it's reasonably priced, and I promise you will thank me later. They will help you safely pack the fish for the ride home. You won't be looking at the same guppies and Molly's that Pet Cove has every time you go. They have a HUGE variety of fish.***

Wonderful store! Employees James and Donnie were very friendly and have a good amount of experience! It has a wonderful atmosphere, and fairly good prices! Me and my father had a great time there, and I plan on getting live feeder mice from there from now on!

Tracy ,I have never had one issue with Pet Cove been going for years , today I went in a man was helping someone else I told him what I needed when he was finished but more people came in after and they were helped while I stood their looking stupid lol but the man who came back in from lunch was so nice helpful and apologized ,He said I don’t want nobody to feel as they have been ignored I didn’t get his name but he had like buzz cut blood hair and white shirt today , everywhere needs employees like himAround 4:30 maybe on Halloween is when I was there

Updated because I decided to give them another try!It's a really nice facility and you can tell the animals are cared for properly.Edit; I'm pretty sure I was sold an elderly guinea pig. I've been a rodent owner for several years, and the veterinarian I go to said the guinea pig I purchased from here was nearing the end of his life. I had him for two months. I deducted three stars because I think this is a dishonest business practice. The age of the animals should be available for the customers. I mention again that I have been a rodent owner for several years, so the owner can't comment and try and blame me for ill keeping. I love my rodents and only provide them with the utmost love and care.I was happy that I gave the guinea pig a very comfortable end of his life, but am heartbroken because his cagemates and I only got a little bit of time with him. I will be very hesitant to purchase animals from this seller in the future.

This place has got to be my favorite pet store in the area. In my opinion, they have one of the best selections of fish around, and they always keep their tanks really clean and well-kept. They have a great selection of aquarium necessities such as medications, water treatment chemicals, and Driftwood pieces. They also keep a great selection of frozen foods.The little floating potato pictured is my boy Haku, a freshwater Dragon Puffer Fish that was definitely an unusual find in our area. He was in great health when I got him, and he has been thriving for the last 3 or 4 months! I highly recommend dropping by!

My fiance and I originally came here to purchase crickets because our local petsmart was out. There was a stronger odor from inside, I was initially not interested in being there because of this however I didn't know they had so many pets. Once you get past that they are amazing people. Very friendly, and so suggestive. We ended up not only getting crickets but also we bought a parakeet we named glory and we are fairly sure we have found our forever pet store!!!

Sold me a "Rare" color Pyramid Butterfly Tang that actually was quarantined. The " rare " color was because the fish was sick. Also purchased a Singapore Angel fish. Spent in excess of $100. Introduced them to out aquarium. The "rare"color Pyramid Butterfly Tang died within a day . Next went the Singapore. Started treating immediately but ended up losing 3 more species that had been with us since out aquarium start up. Treatment of tank and loss of fish cost us amore than $400 before we got everything treated and back in balance.Look closely at her fish, those aren't just raw sores where other fish have hurt the fish..they are sick. For instance an eel that has open sores.No refunds on saltwater fish and I get that. But don't quarantine a fish then lie about it and sell it. Don't they even care about people's other fish and aquarium!Buyer beware, this is no good establishment.Keep your money and buy some place else.

I love Pet Cove for their selection of fish and knowledgeable staff! I have scarcely found another business who can tell the difference between male and female platys. I've never received a fish with ick or any other illness from here which is greatly appreciated. I cannot say the same about other pet stores in the area. Even if I'm not in the market for anything I like to stop by and see what this place has! I'm totally stoked for the new building to open !!
