This was such an unexpected and much needed blessing! So I’ll make this review a detailed one. Overall there was so much genuine kindness of every staff member that made my experience so comfortable and pleasurable.I was in town after a long road trip for a wedding and in much need of a haircut/would love to have someone else do my hair for the wedding.Receptionist and booking: I called the afternoon before and Tara was incredible with trying to find me an appointment for any combination of services with any stylist she could fit me in with. And we found one! Emily for a dry cut at 9am. Then I got a phone call from her a bit later… I was nervous she was going to say that we’d need to reschedule, but nope! There must have been a problem with the scheduling software that opened the 9am slot up again. She caught the error when someone else tried to book that appointment time and called me right away to double check that was the time we landed on in the end. I confirmed and she made sure the appointment successfully went through this time and waited to verify the time showed as booked.Emily and the cut:Emily was prompt and ready to go right at my appointment time. She asked if I wanted a wash and I was confused but shocked and hopeful she actually did have the time! She evaluated based on the cut I wanted and was spot on with timing, so she had the time for a wash, cut, and style! Exactly what I had hoped for. And, she finished right on time for her next appointment.She was so kind, friendly, calm (!), patient, collaborative, and easy to talk to. She asked great questions to learn the uniqueness of my hair and match it up with my preferences. She then confidently checked in with me at every step of the cut to see if I’d like any adjustments, which I was freely able to say yes to. She was able to get the feel of the cut just right and worked well with my little hair quirks. Then she finished it off efficiently with a curl and I was all ready to go!The other staff were great as well, offering me a water bottle when I had problems with the fountain, answering questions about products in the shop, and wishing me well on my day.So thank y’all at Hair Benders. And to the readers, go ahead and book with Emily! And tip her well! Her being a “Level 1” stylist made no noticeable difference in my experience. I so appreciated what she shared with me, that she waited to get her Cosmetology license until she truly felt confident and comfortable; she cares about her clients and didn’t want to offer a sub-par service just to make it into the field quicker.

Had a salon I’ve been booked with for THREE MONTHS text me an hour and a half before my appointment canceling me. Called Hair Benders immediately and they got me in that same day with Allie!!She did wonderfully on my hair and gave me a consult before with lots of options that wouldn’t compromise my hair. Everyone in the salon was helpful with the best attitude and they have themselves a new loyal client! I even booked another appointment with Allie on the spot and next time I’m giving her the phattest tip ever since I didn’t have enough cash on me to give one she deserves!

My soon to be Son-in-law got a perm there and I could tell the moment I saw it that someone didn't either know what they were doing or didn't care. It's ridiculous to spend that much money to have all the curl (what little curl there was) just to see it wash out in the first wash. Go back to school!

Had my sons hair cut. He’s 3 and finds it hard to sit still but Wendy did an awesome job and was very patient. I wanted his hair cut and layered but not short. I live in a small town with small minded people that only know how to cut little boys hair completely off so I took him to benders where they could keep his long beautiful locks. I’ll definitely be going back and would 100 percent recommend benders for all your hair needs. Worth every pennyService: Haircut

WILL NOT BE GOING BACK!! 😤 I PAID $202 for my hair to be green. They only bleached my roots and after 1 wash, it's all blue except for my roots. I thought I'd give them another try after my first negative experience there.....BIG MISTAKE. (The 1st time I went, the stylist refused to cut my hair shorter when I wanted it shorter. She said she didn't feel comfortable to keep cutting).....If I could give this place less than a star I would....😤😤

Hairbenders is the most professional salon I’ve been to in this area! While you’re waiting you get offered a delicious mimosa! AJ has done my hair twice now and both times I’ve loved what she has done! I will definitely be recommending HBS and AJ to several friends of mine! Thanks for being such a great salon!

My experience at Hair Benders was fantastic! Everyone was so welcoming and kind. My stylist Allison fixed my hair from a previous cut at a different salon and she did an amazing job! I was a little nervous to try a new look but she made me feel comfortable and my hair looks absolutely amazing!! I can't say thank you enough to Brittany.She did a wonderful job cutting my hair. I'm new to the area, and don't know anyone. Haven't had my hair cut in ages. I'm home all day everyday with my beautiful children. Which is a blessing, but burns me out.I was feeling anxious and worried. And just awkward. Because I haven't felt good about myself in forever. And I've had bad experiences at salons in the past.She was so gentle and patient with me. Talked me through everything. Helped me decide what I wanted done. What would look nice. She made sure it was something versatile. So I could change it day to day.She gave me every opportunity to say how i felt or what I wanted. And every time she used a product, she would tell me all about them. She even curled my hair for me afterwards.I went home feeling so much happier than I have been in a while. Happy to see myself in the mirror. And it means the world to me.

Great cut, subpar color especially for the cost but they fixed the issue so I changed my review to 4*They do great work and it's a beautiful salon. I'm only rating 4* because they try to convince you to purchase other services, add ons and such and those services are pricey. My hair cut was incredible, the color was pretty good but I wasn't 100% satisfied with the actual color (dull with bronze spots) but they took care of it and got it to my satisfaction so for that alone I'll rate 4*.

It wasn’t the worst or the best experience I’ve ever had at a salon.I called last minute today to see if they took walk-ins for haircuts, and when they said yes I asked if they had any availability. They had an opening at 3.They got me back in the shampoo bowls at around 3:15. The stylist did not seem to be in the greatest of moods, but I didn’t let that bother me.I’m a super easy client who doesn’t care about losing length and communicated that with the lady on multiple occasions. It had been 2 years since I last had a haircut, so I told her I wanted to damage gone, layers that she thought was best and face framing curtain bangs.She snipped away at my hair for what felt like only 7 minutes and proceeded to blow dry my hair which took longer than the entirety of the haircut. After being blow dried, there was still a lot of damage. I told her there was still a lot of damage and she told me see was concerned about taking more length off.I completely understand how so ladies can be with loss of hair length, but after telling her multiple times I was okay with losing length I had hopef she would just trust that.She seemed really inconvenienced by me asking to remove more to take off the damage. Another few minutes she was done.I was at the checkout counter at about 3:38. I felt like there was no communication from her and felt like a bother the entire time.My hair damage is gone, so I am thankful for that, but there isn’t hardly any layers and no face framing curtain bangs. I just felt like I was a rushed client the entire time and left not feeling super satisfied with my experience or cut.I’ve had better experiences at Great Clips and JCPennies for half the cost and left happy with my hair and comfortable with my experience with their staff.Services: Haircut, Blowdry
