Expensive and literally always out of some kind of basic produce (today it was asparagus, in the past it has been things like strawberries and blueberries). I finally just left today, if you don’t have basic things, why would I even bother coming here?

The Food City stores in Tucson, AZ, should take a few pointers from what I'm seeing here in Tennessee. These stores are amazing, so much so that I think Kingsport, TN, just moved to the top of the list of places I want to live because of my experience here.

The store is very clean with associates who are anxious to help you. There's an excellent variety of products to purchase, including some that I've not found at other stores.

Today my granddaughter wanted a birthday cake for her little dog. This was very important to her. She called Food City on Clinchfield Street, and without hesitation the lady was happy to help. Not only did she just put a name on the cake she included pictures of Beagles.(her dog is a Beagle !) This was such short notice. Couldn't believe someone actually took the time to make this cake exceptionally Beautiful. Thank You for making a little girls day!

Always clean and well-stocked with a wide variety of items. They have enough cashiers to actually scan your items if you don't like self-checkout. I don't like the big shopping carts (I like the shorter ones with two levels) but that's not a big deal. Great deli/food bar as well.

Food City on Clinchfield street is the one we normally go to. Its never a great experience but its never a bad experience either. Until today. My son saw some banana pudding and wanted some so I told him to grab it. I got home and went to put it in the fridge and there was a bug in it! I called them and told "the assistant manager", Makayla the story and she sat there for a bit and then said "so do you think you are gonna want a refund?". I told her yes because it was $8.70. She then told me I had to bring the pudding back along with the receipt. I told her I was already all the way back home and that it wasn't my fault that there was a bug in the food that I got from there. she said she knew it wasn't my fault, so I asked her, "but im the one who has got to fix it?", to which her answer was yes.

This food city has the best hot bar I've ever had. We eat at food city often. Love Asian night. Mmmm. But this hot bar was amazing. Huge. What a selection!

Overpriced grocery chain whose deli-made salads are inconsistent in quality and overpriced. The fresh-made sushi is actually good. I tend to shop elsewhere for way less.

Got food for a family I was sitting with. Most of it was good. Except the tater wedges were way too crunchy. I had fajita and broccoli. They were great. Friendly people in the deli...not their fault I'm sure the tater wedges need to be a bit softer

Have you ever seen a cleaner place I can only think of one that's in colonial heights it's Ingles but everything is so nice at food city fresh and clean you can't beat it always got great deals great people that help you out just what you need thanks food city for all your support.

Food city has gone downhill at a rapid rate over the past year. The last two times I’ve gotten chicken it’s gone bad well before the sell by date. The cashiers are slow and not friendly. There are never any baggers and self checkout is a mess too. Much better grocery store options now so don’t waste your time and money.

I am moving to Roanoke, Va and I am missing Food City up here. I wish there was one closer than Abingdon. Definitely the top tier when it comes to “average” grocery stores.

The deli has ravishingly delicious food! My girlfriend and I eat the meatloaf dinner a lot. It is priced at 10 dollars for two hot meal deals Monday through Friday. I get two dinners that consist of meatloaf, mashed potatoes with gravy, macaroni, roll, and tea. This dinner plate I always choose is outstandingly delicious. The meatloaf is fresh, moist, and tasty! On my food rating scale from zero to ten, I give these items a well-deserved 10! This is my favorite place to eat. I wait until 7 pm, so the customer flow will thin out, and we arrive, buy the meals, walk over to the dine-in area and take a seat. The rest is history! I eat with pleasure and contentment. Thank you Food City for providing such good food in the deli!

I just want to say, we love Food City! We shop there more than anywhere else. However, lately with the pandemic we have been placing curbside orders at all the stores we have to shop at due to being high risk. I must say, Food City GoKart leaves much to be desired. I want to make it clear the employees were always very friendly and helpful. However, we have had nothing but issues with our GoKart orders and will probably not be shopping via GoKart anymore. First of all, Food City is the ONLY store charging a fee to pick up curbside orders. In my opinion, with the current situation, it should follow the example of others and waive the fee during this crisis. Curbside keeps, not only those who use it safer, but also your employees safer, considering it cuts down on foot traffic in your store.Today I picked up an order. I ordered 7 bananas, in my cart online it showed an estimated price at $1.98. When I got home and started unpacking my bags I did not have 7 bananas, I had 7 BUNCHES of bananas each with 8 bananas on them. So, I have 56 bananas and no idea what to do with them. While this has created some much needed laughter in my house...I still have to figure out what to do with 20lbs of bananas. Also, I ordered Sprite Zero and received regular Sprite. Just to verify I asked for NO SUBSTITUTIONS. I also had 2 cartons of ice cream that were tossed in the trunk under heavier items, I can only assume the 20lbs of bananas, which busted the plastic seal on the cartons so I was left with a bag of ice cream soup. One other thing, I ordered an apple pie and ended up with a pecan, but pecan is delicious so we will look over that one.I hate to leave a bad review, but I really think GoKart could be a wonderful thing if they made some improvements and took care to pay attention to the items on the list and how they bag them and put them in the trunk. (The store reviewed was the Clinchfield St. store in downtown Kingsport, TN.)

You have to really pay attention when shopping at Food City. Everything is much more expensive, when you check out half the time the "sale items" don't ring up right, and frankly I just get mad any time I have to shop there.

Went to buy Bristol tickets, got the wrong ones. Realized the mistake less than 3 hours after purchasing the tickets and went back to the store to correct it. The manager- a man with white hair- showed me his big scanner thing with Bristol’s phone number and told me there wasn’t anything he could do that I would have to call them. I called Bristol and they told me they weren’t sure why he told me that because they don’t get paid for the tickets from food city until the race and that HE should have refunded me. Plus they only receive tickets sale lists from food city once a week until closer to the race then they receive lists more frequently. Now I’m sitting here charged over double what I should have for the wrong tickets and still don’t even have THOSE tickets and it’s been a week and guess what- FOOD CITY STILL HASN’T SENT BRISTOL THE TICKET SALE LIST! I don’t appreciate being lied to by a manager.

This Food City has great fresh food everyday. I enjoy stopping by for a quick lunch or afternoon snack. The service was not the best, I stood at the register & watched 6 people walk by not saying a word to me. Finally asked for someone to check me out because I was going to work and needed to eat lunch first.

My wife and I enjoy shopping here more than we do Walmart, Kroger and Price Less for groceries! Great selection on meats, veggies and more! Great salad bar too. Store is well kept and the workers are very nice. Only reason for the 4 stars is a few things were a bit more expensive than other stores. Would highly recommend shopping here!

Food selection is way better than Walmart but prices not so much. FC meat selection is iffy. However, meat is fresh and butchers helpful. I can't say with certainty that I will buy a certain cut of meat. Store is clean. Gas savings is good and I love digital coupons.Wish more low sodium deli meats.

I love the layout now. It's nice but prices are so outrageous. I don't know how people can afford it. But I guess prices are up everywhere.Their floral department selection is awesome.

Very pleased and impressed with this Food City! Very clean, very organized, huge variety and selection of everything throughout the store. Loved the salad and antipasto etc. bar. Produce was nicely displayed and plentiful. I only made it half way thru the store..but was very pleased with what I did see. Great job Kingsport Food City!
