I go to Family Dollar pretty often because the location is pretty convenient but I will admit the neighborhood is a little rough. The staff is kind of hit or miss but most of the time they are alright. They seem short handed because a lot of time they don't have a dedicated person at the register. They have a decent selection of item and the prices are decent. Staff doesn't wear masks though they do have plastic in front of the register. I know they put up with a lot so I try to be empathetic.

Every visit a fun, informative one. They have so many health items available. My go to is Walgreens for my prescriptions but the prices can be way expensive there. I love being able to go to Mac's and visit, shop, talk to friendly, helpful people. Tonight we were checking out digestive helps and teas. The young man helped someone out in line and took the time to look open enough for us to chat. Very experienced young man. High selection of teas, health items. Different price amounts that are affordable too. I've been in there before for allergy eye drops and had another satisfactory experience. Another time for a tens unit so I could price different units. Never a bad experience. Wonderful service, bright, happy faces, excellent lighting, excellent selections, great setup and organizational style. Love Mac's.

Nice employees for most part. I think lots of shoppers forget this particular "dollar" store because 2 or 3 others incorporate word "Dollar". But they offer good variety of products and pretty easy to go in and checkout.

This particular location does not have a restroom available to their shoppers. To add insult to injury, the staff was rude and uncivilized. The store looks like an absolute wreck. It was quite possibly the worst “retail” experience imaginable.

I used to visit here a lot more but now i avoid you store at all cost. The new worker/s are rude or will outright ignore you. You can be at the register checking out and you are left because they think they see a shoplifter coming in. And if you think i won't use my change at the register because of your smart aleck attitude think again. Why owners/management did you get rid of your previous workers they were nice and friendly and always working and not just standing around smirking at you..

I went to family dollar today 2/23/2021 1:25 pm at W. Sullivan Downtown Kingport to get 2 case of water I asked the guy at the register/ Cashier where are your food cart ?the big pack of bottlle water are heavy I need cart .He answered me sarcastically we dont have a cart anymore , I asked again how can i get the big pack of water he didnt answer! He just look at me sacastically because I'am immigrant / asian This man wearing black top & black pants today ate need Not to work in this place!! This is not the first time that he treated ne badly no respect , He dont know how customers service work , His way to treat customers will not help this business to grow!!I will not going back to this place again !!

The night sales associate accused me of stealing and searched my bag. I obviously had nothing and didn't even go near the section she accused me of stealing from. I will not be going back to this store and I warn everyone who has an over the shoulder bag to stay away from this place because they are rude and will accuse you of stealing.

I'm usually here a day after the holidays to get some holiday candy half off and paper plates. They have some good deals, but Walmart is usually comparable.I miss the Family Gourmet line of food products. The snack mix was better than the name brand.

This location might not be the best part of town but I will say the staff is very friendly and if it's late or you feel uncomfortable walking to your car by yourself they will walk you out keep up the great work guys👏

Don't go here if your looking for cigarettes, they never have the key to unlock cigarette case, they'll tell you to come back around 2pm they should have the key by then

Man working April 11 2020 at west sullivan st family dollar does not need to work cash register told me he didn't consider me a customer unless I spent a lot of money. I told him to go to hell

I love Family Dollar Days good people and that works there and homeless people being charged for phone hang out for a little bit and then get full it starts across the street 10 Stars

I live close by and liked going there when I am in a hurry, but recently they have people sleeping in front of their building and pan handling.and they roam through thr store asking for money

Hasn't been this bad nasty in a long time.couldn't get through the isles for the trash in the floor and buggies of freight on the floor while workers were just talking to each other instead of doing any work.
