Watauga Brewing Company is an awesome space to visit! Whether you’re coming for casual dining, celebrating a special event, or just grabbing drinks with friends this is the spot for it all. The brewpub always has a great beer selection and fun for all. The second floor is immaculate and great for the fine dining experience. It’s awesome getting to watch the great kitchen staff work while enjoying a nice meal. And can’t forget about the amazing rooftop bar. The view of the city is gorgeous up there year around. The staff in all three floors are super friendly, talented, and very knowledgeable of the menu and drink selection.

Wow!! What a wonderful find! The drinks and food were incredible!!! This brewing/restaraunt has 3 seperate floors, the rooftop was certainly a special experience. Casual and comfortable outdoor seating, as well as many high and low top tables. They have a rooftop bar offering cocktails/beer and food. We ordered some Pina Coladas that were made with fresh fruits. The menu seasonally changes, so be sure to check their website. For appetizers, we ordered the Brussels (amazing!!) The Gulf Shrimp (also amazing) For dinner, we ordered the Grilled Chicken with Ginger and Turmeric Glaze and Broccolini (which was incredible) The Smoked Salmon with Spicy Peach and Jalepeno Glaze and it was delicious as well as the Teds Fish & Chips and the Brewers Burger which were both also quite tasty. Beautiful views of Johnson City that were accompanied by beautiful plants they have growing on the railings with misters and plenty of rotary fans. The drinks were SO delicious. 21+ up and the bartenders were so top notch. I will always be sure to stop by this Brewery when visiting again. Do not miss out out on this place!

My husband and I dinned here for the first time on Valentine's Day. The service was fantastic and we appreciated their spacing of tables. The beer, cocktails, and food were divine. Hands downs the best meal we've had in Johnson City. We highly recommend checking this place out. We will definitely be back to Watauga Brewing!

I’ve been to this place twice now. I have traveled extensively in the US….and I think it’s safe to say that the food here at Watauga is some of the best food I’ve had in the entire country. Absolutely incredible. I can’t pick a favorite….the poutine, the roasted beets, the beer cheese & pretzels….the hot dogs he made for the super bowl.And, of course, their beers are ON POINT too. 🍺 🍻The chef and brew masters there are wizards!Put this place on your list of restaurants to visit in Johnson City. You won’t be disappointed.

I want to leave an informative review to inspire ownership to look for solutions to the lack of service and what appears to be mass confusion by the wait staff on how the restaurant is to be managed. I’m not trying to throw stones at the service but it is a constant theme. 3 stars because the food and drink are good if and when it is delivered.We Saturday the 13th my friends and I visited Watagua Brewery for a late lunch and drinks. Initially we showed up at approximately 1:30 PM and the downstairs was full of craft vendors. There was not a hostess and getting the bartenders attention was difficult. The bartender said we could seat ourselves or visit the second floor. We decided to visit the second floor. More vendors were on the second floor and again it was difficult to find someone that worked at Watauga for service. I went to the food counter and found someone to answer my questions. They told us the second floor did not open until five, and that the rooftop was closed until three. We went back down to the first floor and found a table that was suitable for six. Three of us were attempting to order at the bar. One of our orders was taken immediately. The bartender then went and spoke with other patrons who had drinks and food for several minutes while we waited with no drinks. Eventually the bartender came back to us and didn’t take our orders. I asked for a towel to bus our table and then the bartender cleaned our table and took our order. We had other friends join us and they ordered drinks but they were delivered to the wrong people. The food was good. We were never offered new drinks. I went to the bar to order two more rounds, and as soon as the bartender saw me, they turned around and went into the kitchen. There was no one else in the same area as us who was waiting for food. I feel the bartender was literally avoiding me and work. When we got the tab, eventually, it was all put on one. It was looking like breaking the tab up would be very time consuming so we paid as one. We were initially told that the upstairs opened at 3 PM. We were retreated to the upstairs shortly after 3 PM to find that they were only offering beer and nothing else. When we attempted to order a mixed drink, they explain that it would be another 45 minutes before they would be ready to serve any mixed drinks. At approximately 3:50 PM they just close the garage door windows and we’re not serving at all upstairs. So we had to go back downstairs to the first floor to order drinks for the third floor. All of the wait staff seemed to be confused about hours of operation, service techniques, how to work the billing software, and just confused in general. This is a recurring theme when we visit Watauga and that’s such a bummer. Hopefully ownership will reach out for help before this beautiful venue closes. We will not give up and hope to provide more patronage soon.

Meet a friend for beers and wanted to try some place new... hence WBC.The atmosphere was nice, the staff was friendly and the beer was good! Definitely a family friendly environment. I can't wait til nicer weather so I can try the roof top area. While there we did order some "bar bites". Not too bad, worth trying while enjoying a beer. 😀

Nichole is an amazing server and bartender. Very knowledgeable about the menu options and drinks. She made the experience comfortable by providing exceptional service. Not to mention the ambiance and interior design of the second floor is admirable! The food was amazing, drinks were delicious! Thanks Nichole I’ll be back. I recommend checking out the rooftop and second floor that’s my favorite part! Definitely ask for her.

Visited for the first time last Saturday evening. The buildings atmosphere is great, love what has been done it. There was a few things on the menu that wasn't available. Our server was the only server on the restaurant floor. She did the best she could do seeing she was the only one staffed. It took us approximately 15 minutes to get the check so we could go elsewhere to get more drinks.

Stopped by for some beers on Sunday afternoon and nobody was working on the 1st and 2nd floor. Rooftop had a worker but seemed to be a cocktail bar with very little beer options. We are from out of town and wanted some local beers. Went next door instead, Atlantic Alehouse, and they had great beers, it was busy with customers and local vendors selling goods.

The new menu was delicious!The kitchen staff was amazing, came out to ask how our food was cooked and if we enjoyed the new menu launch. Our server was so pleasant to have as well, she was very intuitive and attentive. Definitely recommend for a nice dinner out!

The rooftop has great views and a good breeze. The beers are good. The STAIRS are brutal and the floor joists on the rooftop might be a bit too far apart, leaving a soft feeling to the floor. I hope nobody ever goes for a ride through one of the planks.

Went here to celebrate a buddy’s 21st…went to the 2nd floor to get some Tequila shots….long story short we were charged $63 for 3 shots of tequila. Looked up that exact bottle and thats how much a whole bottle costs, was 100% taken advantage of by the server. Will not be going back. Wish I would’ve said something in person, absolutely ridiculous.

Great atmosphere. Love the decor. Our server was wonderful! Very tasty beer. Unique menu options. I wanted to like my food more than I did. It was a little underseasoned, and our table was served meals at different times...as in, the first person served already finished eating his whole meal by the time the final meal came out. Our server priciest great customer service and adjusted our ticket. This place has amazing potential of they can work out some of these kinks.

I experienced a delicious main course and a desert that was absolutely delicious.I visited for lunch with a friend. We were delighted by burgers and the many types of beer they offered. The spices and flavors were extremely impressive and the sky bar was simply beautiful.The service was above average, and the 3rd floor view was great.When we arrived at 6:00 p.m., we were told to wait for 10 minutes while they prepared the table.We ordered French fries as a side dish. They looked tasty, and were very crispy.The waiter visited our table and asked if we enjoyed our meals. We said yes we had.We left a tip on the table and exited the restaurant with a smile.Overall, I enjoyed our experience. They did take the time to make the table ready, the main course was good, the staff was caring.I’d love to visit again. I'd recommend it as a nice place to go with friends, family, or a partner.

Nice rooftop bar view. Nice bar staff. Unfortunately, if you ask for a call drink, they tacked on 6 bucks each to the price for a premium marguerita. So at 14 dollars per marguerita, that makes them a pretty high-priced marguerita in the entire Tri Cities area, including two expensive high-end dining establishments we have visited recently. It's also not even in a big glass. Little short glass. There is a good steak place nearby that gives you a premium shaker that has about 2.5 drinks in it for less than that price. Be warned.

We spent our third wedding anniversary here on floor 2. It was fantastic. Truly remarkable staff, everyone was so friendly and upbeat. Atmosphere was very chill but classy. We peeked at the third floor but it was raining so basically empty, can’t wait to spend some time there on a clear evening. Food was spectacular and I got some of the best cocktails I’ve ever had. This is our new favorite spot.
