This is an excellent grocery store with everything you need to prepare Indian food and a variety of other Asian dishes as well. Their prices on spices can't be beat for the quality, and their tea selection is great. They also have basic cooking and tea preparation tools, utensils, incense, and personal care items. I highly recommend shopping here.

Only been once to this store but it’s an outstanding and well organized store.wide variety of spices and their ready to eat snacks is also good.i love their samosas.I would definitely go back again

EDIT: I've now shopped at Spice World multiple time, and still HIGHLY recommend this store! The employees are wonderful, the selection is great (and fun!), and it's the best place I've found for fresh ginger root, as well as imported teas and cookies. It's also amazing for basics like cooking oils, rice and beans.First visit -- won't be my last! Walked every aisle, two employees asked if I needed help finding anything, saw a great variety of packaged and fresh items, came home with oils, jarred sauces, three varieties of Chinese mustard, rice and pasta, even two pounds of gorgeous organic ginger. Also some really nice essential and body oils. Took a chicken samosa and batata vada from the counter for lunch; too spicy for me, but obviously well cooked! (evidently I've lost the adventurous palate I had earlier in life lol) I'll happily shop here again, and next time will bring a cooler for the amazing selection of yogurts. Now to find a Mexican grocery...

Absolutely the best international grocery store experience I have ever had in my life ! The staff were all super friendly and helpful. We found all of the Indian spices we needed to start making some classic dishes.In addition to Indian grocery supplies , they also had a great selection of Thai ingredients which is my other favorite cuisine to make and learn. They even offered to order me a deeper , stone mortar and pestle made to work with Thai ingredients and curry paste.They also have a wonderful selection of fresh imported ingredients and frozen staples alike. On the way out we grabbed fresh baklava and Turkish delight , it was truly incredible and it will be where I make all of my future purchases in my quest for culinary enlightenment 🖤

One of the best places in the area for any spice or soup item available in the area. The prices are good unlike the fresh markets in area. They always have fresh ginger and turmeric root on hand. Highly recommended for zone diets.

Lots of unique items. Friendly & helpful staff. I bought tandoori paste, basmati rice and pitas. Reasonable prices. They have cooked snack food at the counter. Not sure the name but it was round, fried, and filled with a pea lentil spicy paste? Tasty. I'll be back for more goodies.

There are SO many wonderful food products that you can ONLY find here! Huge selection of unique spices, fresh produce, frozen food, meat, seafood, cheese (it’s the only place you can reliably get paneer locally), naan, papadoms, chutneys, curry sauces and pastes, vinegars and oils. Best prices on high quality saffron you’ll find anywhere. Great mango lassi.Almost everything in their store is stuff you can’t find anywhere else. It’s often associated with Indian cooking, but it’s actually incredibly international and diverse.

I’ve been to several similar local groceries. Spice world has them all beat. Not only do they have the largest selection 3x over, their prices are the best. The item quality is top notch, especially the fresh herbs & produce which tend to change each week. Also the owner is very kind & friendly. The whole staff is always warm, & you can tell they are happy to see their customers.

This is the only store in the tricities that sells large variety of Indian groceries. The groceries are of good quality and reasonably priced. The owners are wonderful individuals. They feature collections from all parts of India, as well as the Middle East and Asian.

I am grateful to see a real international market, not just spices from India and the Middle East. There's a sizeable choice of Japanese and Thai products as well. The frozen section has lots of premade entrees, You can't really compare prices because no.local grocery chain would have this large of a selection.

I visited Spice World for the first time today and I will definitely return. They have a huge variety of foods that I have not seen in other local stores. And everyone working there was so friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!

Very odd experience, nice little store but the staff did not seem very friendly and it made us feel out of place as we were stared at as if we did not belong there. I love foods from a very large cultural variety. I still recommend the store as they have alot to offer in a small space. It was my first time trying a Lychee drink which I found absolutely delicious.

Although this store appears to primarily support Indian cuisine, I was able to find all of the spices for my barbeque rub at very fair prices. The staff were very helpful as it can be a little difficult to find what you're looking for with so many small items to choose from. The staff were pleased that they had everything I needed, and said that if he didn't he would get it. I love this store 😍.

I'm sorry to leave this review but they are ruining the store. This used to be one of my favorite stores in town. The selection is amazing but their prices have gone so high in the past year or so, makes it not really worth stopping in there anymore. It seems like some one else owns it now.On average you will pay about $1 more for everything in a jar than in another major store that carries the item. Sometimes more than that. They need to go out and see what others are selling stuff for. For this reason you have to keep an eye on sell by dates too. I've been shopping there for about 8 years, used to seem more friendly but I feel like I'm being ripped off now. I'll still go on occasion but now I buy about 1/5 of what I used to there. Don't mind paying for convivence of everything in one place but there is a limit. Sad

I cook a lot of south asian cuisine in my home. This place does not disappoint in any way. Prices are better than some of the larger metro international markets. Somehow their imports are also fresher than the larger markets.I can't even complain about the staff, though at the time I went there was only one clerk, he was extremely helpful despite how busy he was.

Such a wonderful gem of a market in Johnson City! I could spend hours looking at all the great items in here and the prices are great and the employees are very helpful! This will be a regular stop over for me since they have lots of vegan choices in here.
