I have always brought my dogs here and never had an issue. I had great service until today. I brought my golden doodle (Sadie) in for a groom. the super nice lady (Paula) explained to me that she would have a teddy bear face and that they would take great care of her. i trusted them, i’ve always came here and they have been wonderful. i came to pick Sadie up and was immediately disappointed. Her hair looked so botched, and wasn’t even at all. Paula was not the one who cut her, a lady named Paige was. I asked Paige if she could please at least even out her hair and she was rude and hateful, took Sadie back into the room and began downing me and talking about me with another employee. Maggie came out and tried to fix it the best way she could but was talking to Paige saying “i’m just trying to keep the peace” I said nothing and was quite, just very upset about my dog. When we got home i noticed she had a huge patch missing behind her ear. You can see in the pictures below how pitiful she looks. this is nothing compared to a “teddy bear” look. I do not think that everyone here is terrible but i do not recommend Paige at all.

This was my dog’s first time being groomed he’s 8 weeks old and very excitable. I’ve tried to wash and bathe him and it is very difficult for him to sit still. The groomer must have a huge amount of patience. They were able to trim around his eyes which definitely surprised me.

This was Oakleys first time at the groomers and our experience was amazing! They were able to fit us in the same week I called and he was ready to be picked up in less than 2 hours after I dropped him off. They did exactly as I asked, trimmed him up, and cut his nails. We will definitely be back again.

They always do such a wonderful job on our handsome feller!!! Also..he loves going..gets so excited to see everyone there. They have been grooming him for all of his five years... I highly recommend Grooming Tails!!!

She always does a fantastic job with my little fur baby Lucy Lu. She is so gentle with her and I love how short she gets her nails. The pricing is very very reasonable and she works 7 days a week it makes it so convenient for me and my husband.

The price is ridiculous, they take forever to cut your pets hair, and if your dog "doesn't like it" they just stop. My dog came back looking basically exactly the same as he did when we dropped him off. Only reason she got paid was because she charges you before showing you your animal.

My pup Milani has been going to Grooming Tails for years. After having some not-so-great experiences at previous groomers it is so refreshing having a team I can trust completely to take care of my girl. Paula always does an AMAZING job on Milani and she comes back looking and feeling so great. The whole team at Grooming Tails is friendly, caring, and professional. I could not recommend them enough!!

This was my little fur babies first time of a grooming and nails clipped. He normally is a nervous type but they made him feel right at home. I picked him up and he was wagging his tail like mad!! He made new friends and so did I. I will be bringing my Fang back each month for his doggie day spa! Great service and super caring with the animals!

Welp I wouldn't take your puppy here unless all you want is your puppy completely shaved. We have a mini schnauzer and we new that her legs needed to be shaved due to matting but they said they would shave her legs and blend it into her skirt. What did they do instead? Shave her ENTIRE body except her face. This was her/ our first grooming experience and to say that we were shocked and infuriated is an understatement! DO NOT TAKE YOUR PURE BREEDS HERE!

Definitely wouldn’t recommend this place , I booked a face feet Fanny for my toy poodle for $30 , when I got there I told the cashier and groomer I wanted only the face feet and Fanny done cut short . When I went to pick him up he was shaved all over one length ! My toy poodle he looked like a rat and still stunk like he hadn’t been bathe either. Then they charged me $50 for a full groom , that I was forced to pay. The groomer did apologize but I shouldn’t have to pay extra for their mistake.I spoke with Beth the owner on phone she was very rude saying what did I expect my 15 year old dog to look like !! And said it was both our fault (the groomers and I ) she would only give 10$ refund or to come back for $20 off the next service, no thanks I’m not bringing my dog back there. I will be disputing with my credit card. Btw There is a new groomer right across the street Pet supplies Plus that’s offering free baths and nail trims , I will be going there.

Unhappy customer. After reading the reviews and the owners FB advising she and her cousin will care for my pet and they wouldn’t keep your pet for hours to stress them out... well part of that was true. My cat was done in 45 mins. So fast-yes! But what was the trade off. A very spotty haircut and a unhappy customer. My cat is a Persian cat with long white hair and she’s been getting her haircut for over 10 years and 3x a year at a minimum. Never once did I get a complaint about her demeanor nor did she ever come back looking the way she did today- very spotty haircut and uneven and not bathed. The owner advised she was to stressed to bath. Unless they showed my cat her reflection in the mirror after her haircut that’s the only thing I can think as to why she might have been stressed -because I know after I saw her I was stressed.

Took my baby in to get him groomed and when we picked him up, the next day I noticed they had burn him up with the clippers. Needless to say, I am definitely not happy with them.

We took our dog to this place for bathing, nails and grooming. We got a call in less than an hour to pick her up. They split her nails when trimming them, she has scratched ever since (she never did that before). They either gave her fleas or did not wash the soap off good. The place we usually take her she comes home smelling good, feeling good & this place did not even wash her right.Almost like they sprayed something on her to try and cover it as if they washed her.I WOULD NOT GIVE THEM 1 STAR BUT HAD TO IN ORDER TO GIVE A REVIEW..DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET HERE UNLESS YOU WANT THEM TO BE MISERABLE AND HAVE TO PAY FOR SOMEONE ELSE TO DO IT RIGHT.

I appreciate the care given to my pet when I had brought them in to the shop. The groomer was really attentive to the needs of my pet and made sure to address any and all concerns that I had. Idk about some of these other reviews on here but my experience exceeded my expectations and I will be returning again soon.

** edit** I made the huge mistake of only reading her good reviews, now whichI feel are questionable. Do you and your pet a huge favor, read all her negative reviews before trusting them withYour babies. Done withThis situationI bought my three dogs in for a fullgroom. When I dropped them off Iexplained two of them were 14 andhad moles and skin tags. For the firsttime in their lives I was dealing with aflea problem. I asked for a flea dip andfull groom on all three. The did a greatjob on my one 14 year old. When Ilooked at her sister she had scabs in astraight line down the center of herback. I asked what happened. Theresponse was "old dogs get thosethings" I am not confrontational so ltook my dogs paid and left. Mymaltipoo only looked bathed notgroomed. I started my dogsimmediately on nexgard for the fleas. After two months of trying to heal thesores, I went to the vet for additionalantibiotics. I called today to tell theowner they shaved moles and skintags and created a bad skin infection.The owner yelled at me and threatenedme with a lawsuit if I left a bad review.A little bit of empathy and customerservice and compassion would havewent a long way. I told her my dogswouldn't be back. She said good, wedon't want them. REAL NICECUSTOMER SERVICE. My suggestionis don't walk, but run away from here.

I took my dog there this morning for their complete package & I must say they did an excellent job with him & I'm very pleased. My dog generally has a bad attitude & a dislike for almost everyone he meets, but he took right up with the staff upon walking through the door which speaks volumes for them. I really appreciate the work they did & the way they treated him, I highly recommend these groomers & will definitely be taking him back again. These are truly wonderful people & do an excellent job.

I have to say that I've had horrible experiences in the past with other animals that I've had groomed so I was very hesitant to even bring our puppy here. But they did an amazing job and I am very impressed with the whole environment of the business and the groomer did a terrific job for our puppy who was the first time groomed. She looks adorable!! They did AMAZING on my little yorkipoo! Teddy looked like he had a great time while he was there! They did EVERYTHING I asked for, and then some! He came out so fluffy, smelling good, and looking even better. I am new to Johnson City and we were DEVASTATED when we had to move because Teddy LOVED his last groomer. Grooming Tails took him in, and treated him like the sweet baby that he is! We have DEFINITELY found our new pet groomer! 100% Teddy and fur momma approved.I also want to specifically point out that I am highly protective over my baby. I researched ALL groomers in the area, read every single review for each one that I thought might be a good fit. Grooming Tails is where I decided to try first. I can honestly say, that ALL of the negative reviews are from people who care more about getting the grooming of their animal done, and done the way they want, in a short amount of time, when Grooming Tails SPECIFICALLY states they go at THE PET’S SPEED not their own. Some animals just ARE NOT good with other people, or the extra stimuli of being in a shop where dryers, trimmers, and other loud noises are going on. At this point the groomer does what they can, and lets the owner know what the issue with the pet was when picking them up/calls and lets them know immediately. This is how the process should work. Is your pets hair cut more important, or is their emotional well being more important? Cause I know which one I’d pick.The whole point is, if you care more about what your pet looks like, than what they feel like, maybe Grooming Tails isn’t the place for you, but it most CERTAINLY is the place for us will be a returning customer each month for a good grooming!

My puppy used to go to Robinson's that had an awesome groomer. Unfortunately, she had to leave for health reasons. I chose this place based on reviews...which I question.Very unhappy. My Maltese had to be shaved due to knots. I understood that. My problem was his odor. He didn't smell washed or even have powder sprinkled on him. He came home very anxious unlike his first visit at Robinson's. I will never return and certainly don't recommend. $45 to shave a Maltese puppy and send him out smelling unwashed is ridiculous.

I bring my chihuahua here to get his nails trimmed and my step dad gets our golden doodles fur trimmed here. They are very friendly and great at what they do and their prices arent to expensive either. Definitely a place to check out if you need for your fur babies.

We have a 17lb mix that we take here for a usual face, feet, fanny package and they do a fabulous job! Very affordable and they are willing to work with you to make sure your pet looks just like you want. Our pet also needed a summer shave and he's never looked so good!
