Very well stocked store.Friendly service.My only concern with this store was a guy standing right near the front door smoking and it was blowing into the door opening.He was wearing a Food Lion manager I D but tried to avoid getting close enough to read it. I'm allergic to the stinking 🚬 smoke and breathing is pretty important.He was still in the same place smoking after I finished shopping.

Some of the most unfriendly, unprofessional cashiers I have ever met in my life. No greeting, no thank you. Nothing. Signs are never correct on pricing. You have to wait 3-5 business days for them to be correct because apparently the one that does the signage for sales doesn’t do the job correctly or fully. Other than that, I shop Food Lion a lot.

I hadn't really shopped at a foodlion store until recently. But this has probably become my favorite grocery store. The selection is pretty good. But my favorite part is it feels too crowded.

Recently visited this location while on the search for a particular meat and they indeed had it and other items that I wasn’t necessarily looking for but purchased because of the quality and great value. The store associates that I encountered were all very friendly and helpful with questions that I had. Will definitely recommend this location and look forward to shopping here more.

Not a big box grocery store and always well staffed and clean. It’s a bit dated and always well stocked. The only reason it didn’t earn 5 stars is because the expiration dates. I’ve seen an increase in items that are expired. The meat is always good though and the staff are always working hard.

Nice grocery store they haveUtz chips and the only place to get them. If you like really good chips try Utz products their Honey Barbeque Chips will have you Licking the Inside Of The Bag After you Eat ALL The Chips! No Kidding😋😋

Let’s start with how I and my clients shop here frequently and have for years. That changes today due to Mr. Eric from the meat counter be was beyond rude with his homophobia towards a wonderful person and it was very unprofessional and quite frankly reflects very poorly on the company! Shame on you guys for allowing someone to represent you in such a horrible way. I completely understand if you don’t agree with the choices someone makes but SHAME on you for making anyone feel any less just because of who they love. Obviously you haven’t been raised right and you deserve to loose your job. If you can’t keep your comments to yourself you don’t deserve a job in this setting. Either accept that others love differently than you or get over it… as far as your comments go do you kiss your granny with that mouth? I hope she takes her bible and smacks you with it a few times as obviously you don’t know this verse Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.SHAME on you mr Eric

Always very clean and the prices are very very reasonable. Also you get dollars real money that can adds up quick. Then when you don't have it you can simply use what dollars you've collected to get it. Shout out to Will at the Bristol Highway store in Johnson City TN. He was amazing and super nice. He even helped my mother who is 74 to find our car. He was great. Overall experience was definitely 5🌟🌟🌟🌟

The man behind the meat counter, Eric I believe their name is? Spewed hurtful, homophobic comments to a friend's friend and I was honestly shocked. We live in an ever changing world where acceptance should come with ease, and it's a shame to hear that one of my favorite grocery stores to shop at has allowed such a disgusting bigoted person to roam around. Definitely a step back and Definitely disappointing and I'm hoping that action is taken swiftly because at this point it's a smear on what is usually a pleasant place to shop.

The man who works behind the meat counter, Eric, decided to say some very hurtful and inappropriate slurs to a friend of mine while on the clock at your store. This is very unacceptable and I hope he will be held accountable! Food lion please pick better employees!!

This Food Lion is small, yet well stocked. I found everything I wanted, with the exception of a meat department with fresh seafood. If you want that, Food City is probably the preferable choice. Other than that the employees are lovely and helpful.

I always find great deals at Food Lion on Bristol Highway. The cashiers could be a bit more friendly especially when your purchasing sale items .I understand they have rules but they could be more pleasant about it. I will still shop here from time to time but Food City on South Roan Street is my go to grocery store.

This Food Lion has many elderly customers that frequent here. I find the store clean and the people who work here are friendly and helpful in finding things and answering questions. The store is typically well stocked even on sale items. The prices are comparable ton other stores in the area and the sale items are good too. Recommend you get the store card as there are some electronic only coupons.

Updating my review from 3 years ago... This store was once scheduled to close. So glad the main office reversed that decision as I have come to appreciate the friendliness of this location. Always eager to help with a good atmosphere with good specials. Only negative (not effecting the update to 5-stars) is this store is not in the loop for online ordering and inventory availability.

Food Lion in JC is the only place I know with no self checkout! Some cashiers are very friendly and will chat with you but some others don't even say Hello- much less thank you.The store is clean and well stocked, always a good variety of fresh fruits and veggies.

It used to be my go-to store for all my groceries. I believe it's the only Food Lion left in the tri cities. Great prices with a good selection of items that I usually buy elsewhere. I've been shopping here for years and love the variety of products. Keep food lion in our area.

I like to stop here for the convenience. The selection is limited when comparing to others like Kroger or Walmart. But one thing …Food lion does seem to have some of the best quality meats of any out there👍
