This store's practices have been consistently subpar since its inception and even after reopening. The employees need to show more enthusiasm and a willingness to help customers. The hot bar food may look appealing, but it's tasteless and unappetizing. The store needs to undergo a complete and thorough cleaning and inspection of all items for expiration. The quality assurance of this store is fundamentally lacking, and it requires immediate attention and improvement. The cashiers were bordering on rude and acted entitled while checking out customers. It's unacceptable, and they must change their behavior.

Just go ahead and avoid this store and save your money. If you go, make sure to check every single item (everything, including your drinks, dry foods) you purchase for its expiration date and to make sure it doesn’t have fungus. Unfortunately, I’ve ended up with items on several occasions that expired a year or two ago. I don’t think this store has any proper food storage management or QA processes set in place.

I love this store. Great place to buy organic / non-gmo / natural products. The produce section is beautiful and has a wide selection of fresh fruits, vegetables, and herbs. I found items here that I haven't seen in traditional grocery stores in this area. Some prices are a bit high, but if you pay attention to sales, it's not that bad. They use paper, not plastic bags, if you happen to forget your reusables at home.This location does have a small cafe in it which serves fresh juices, smoothies, and more. I enjoyed the service overall in this store.

Like Fresh Market that is down the street you will pay more for the same items you find in the grocery store.The main reason to shop there is for items that you can't get anywhere else.Having a daughter with celiac I got the flourless chocolate cake for her that I can't find anywhere else. It's an expensive purchase about $25 for the cake, but as a special treat it's nice to have it available.I personally found the bakery to have a lot less selection than Fresh Market.

Pretty cool place with a large variety of unique beverages and foods and supplements. This is the only place that you can buy cactus water. Would be five stars but they are pretty expensive. But I guess it's worth it considering the time we live in.

Went in today for non dairy yogurt. There was one container in the cooler. I looked for help, none to be found. So I go to the cashier and ask for assistance with the yogurt. Her response was “Yeah we don’t have a dairy person right now. “ And that was that. No offer to call someone. Just deal with it lady. So she rings up my one yogurt. Doesn’t ask me about my rewards, I had to say “what about putting in my phone number in for rewards?” She says “oh yeah you can if you have one.” Then she didn’t even bag my yogurt.This kind of customer “service” is the norm.

I normally don't make reviews like this but as a loyal Earthfare customer going back to prior to the closing and reopening. I am disgusted with buying produce that rots after 2 days.The only thing I could think of is that they freeze it and then put it out. As pictured, I bought Zucchini, and 2 days later, it is rotten. I took one photo of the label to prove it is from this particular store.This has been going on for a while. This has nothing to do with the workers who do their job, it has to do with management that is not.Get your act together and stop selling produce that rots after buying it.

I loved the selection of plant-based snacks and meats. I was also happy to see that they had plenty of lower waste options for cleaning and self care products. They also probably have every vitamin that you could ever want and need. Store was super clean and relaxing. Will be returning!

Absolutely love Earth Fare; so glad it's back in Johnson City! They have a great selection, the quality of the produce is excellent, and the bulk section is so convenient. The employees are the friendliest and most helpful of any grocery store I've ever been to, and it's so easy to make healthy choices. I'm very grateful to have this store in town!

You can find decent deals here but the slightly higher prices in general are understandable because this store has drawn a line in the sand regarding nutrition. They commit that NOTHING they sell has no artificial sweeteners, no added hormones, no transfers, no artificial colors, preservatives or flavors, no antibiotics, no high fructose corn syrup... I buy Dr Bronner's soaps here, watch for their weekly $6/lbs grassfed organic hamburger sale and sales on organic veggies. Check it out!

Drove almost an hour to get there and the VA hospital, after checking the website to see the hours of operation. Got there and checked the door to see if they had special holiday hours, no information posted. I walked inside where a cashier then told me they were closing in 2 minutes, so I had to leave. My husband JUST got released from hospital a day earlier than he was supposed to, ON THANKSGIVING, of all days and theres nothing thawed out for dinner and not enough leftovers for us both and I would have stopped at ANY other store had your hours been posted. I JUST wanted to grab some bread.

Best selection of organic fruits/vegetables in the greater JC area! I drive from Gray because it's worth it. Huge selection of bulk spices and other staples too.There's a great selection of other packaged foods as well, but if you're not seeking out natural, organic type foods then the prices seem a bit more costly.

My favorite grocery store in the world. Their food is all healthy (organic, gluten free, no preservatives etc) ... soon as i stepped into the store the aroma in there was so fresh it was amazing. Friendly employees AND customers. Some items are a bit pricey, but most are comparable to regular grocery stores. I LOVE this store!

Love, love, love this healthy food market. They have everything you want in both fresh produce, packaged, bulk, and prepared healthy choices. They even have non-dairy desserts that taste AWESOME, as well as vegan freshly prepared deli items. I can't wait to go back for dessert! They have the only filtered water machine that I've seen in a store, that has an option for alkaline water. You can bring your own container or purchase a container - either plastic or glass, in the store. Staff is friendly, I think they have a frequent buyer program also, just use your phone number. They also have daily/weekly specials that you'll want to check out. I like that it's small but a good selection, not overpriced like WF, and yet they have many specialty items that may be difficult to find. The staff could also order items if it's not in the store.

Excellent prices and selection on grass fed meat and other good food. Thankfully they had my favorite fermented brand Bubbies. I hope they will expand their selection of fermented foods but I am very happy with them.

Great place to grocery shop. It's clean, they have a good selection and friendly workers. I find things here that are hard to find at other stores. Sometimes they have cool music playing while you shop.

I had a problem with the cashier being rude and rough placing order into the Bags,when we got home she had broken a bottle of castile soup all over our stuff and in the back of our 2 week old Suv! When i call back the Mgr refused to tell me her Name! She said Corp policy supported her Finally she yelled her name and asked what I wanted in a loud voice i hung up and called The Asheville Store to tell me who to contact,The GM in Asheville had the GM in Johnson City call me.This is where it gets strange.He tells me they have a stalking problem thus the no name rule,and the clientele is lower class than I Would have assumed,he told me there where vagrants in his cafe at the moment.The bottom line is,if this place is so dangerous they do not tell their NAMES than it is too Dangerous for my family to be there ,if this is so they need to hire security.Is Johnson City this Dangerous?

I absolutely love the food there. So deliciously fresh. So much to choose from. If you got money your pockets empty rather quickly at this place. Love that they carry bulk all kinds of beans and grain etc. Eclectic variety of vegetables beautiful quality and fresh as can be

Everything is overpriced and employees are not very helpful. Rude employee forcing people to wear mask. They will not have my business. I will never go back again. Funny thing is that place is so empty with empty parking lot and they act like they are superior than their customers. That place won't be in business long. I will be happy to see that place go.
