I’m visiting Johnson City and was determined to find a coffeehouse that was good!! This place went well past my expectations! The coffee is phenomenal! Customer service could have been a little better but they were helpful and kind enough. All in all cute and cozy atmosphere, amazing coffee, and customer service was good too:) will definitely be coming back a time or two before I leave.Update: I came back and the cashier taking our order was so friendly!

No because this was a such a weird vibe. Okay Rachel? I think that might be her name, she was chill and talkative. Definitely the most enjoyable part of the experience. Homie dude who took my order was so awkward, and I’m like a super awkward person myself but it was … uncomfortable awkward. He wasn’t being gross or anything I just think the social skills were somewhere else. Not rude either - just different. But also I was feeling delirious after having drove 9 hours to get coffee. I’ll find all the excuses. Everyone except for that one girl and someone I asked about the door in the back being functional were all like NPC’s… lol so freaking weird. Even the people inside chilling at the tables. It was so freaking strange. It’s also so hard to rate this such a weird experience I don’t even want to rate it I just want to voice how i felt lol.The cucumber toast thing was pretty good but I do wish the cream cheese had something in it for more flavor. The bread and balsamic wasn’t enough. The lavender coffee was good. The lid was lowkey my favorite! Idk why most places done have lids like that!I don’t think I’d come here again. I didn’t hate it, I just also don’t think it was giving what I was looking for either. That’s not to say you wouldn’t love it or enjoy it either! By all means the potential is totally there! It just wasn’t for me 🙃

I get the dark roast drip coffee it's got a deep sweet flavor and strong there cream is from a local dairy and works well with the raw sugar I need quite a bit in mine because getting that ratio right or real close is what makes it great coffee and keeps me coming back. The staff is always polite and friendly so for me Best Coffee in Town 😀 Thanks -G-Vegetarian options: I I normally just get coffee I don't eatDietary restrictions: I live like 2 min awayParking: Best parking is in the front, sometimes there is parking close to the other entrance as wellKid-friendliness: I don't see a lot of kids in thereBut I go in the morning There at school? Supposed to be at least.Wheelchair accessibility: I have seen wheelchair in the front going out through the back it's gets very narrow if it gets really busy

Allow them to suprise you if you like to try new things. I’ve asked this multiple times and Everytime it’s amazing. You can feel the love in it locally owned; it’s a hot coffee spot for johnson city, a must try that you’ll want to take your friends to. They have new art every month to start conversation and enlighten your mind. Quiet corners for peace while you study.

Great customer service, the baristas were very quick and polite. There's a wide range of drinks to choose from too. I'm only in TN for a few days but I'll definitely be coming back. Once again I cannot stress how good the customer service is, Shoutout to the green-haired barista that served me and my sister I would've tipped more but I'm broke

I live nearby so I like to come here but recently my drinks have been getting messed up. I’m lactose and tolerant and even shared that with the cashier because last time they had put dairy. Not only did I get dairy but the completely wrong drink, I tipped them well too… it’s just annoying to come in for a simple latte and it get messed up when it’s not even busy. I used my punch card to get my free drink and the drink was also untasteful and no flavor. It’s sad to say but I think I will just take my money to where I feel I’m getting what I paid for… I’ve been a barista before and honestly it’s pretty simple to make so I’m not sure what’s going on or if people are trained properly but I am never happy with my experience there. People are friendly but that’s not enough for me to keep coming back..

Just what Johnson City needed!Dos Gatos has fantastic coffee, and there is always seasonal specials to try if you want to try something new!Dos Gatos was a Saturday Staple for us in all its magic. They even opened a window during the pandemic to safely serve customers and keep their employees employed! After the pandemic it was just as magical every visit.Whether you just want good coffee or a snack, want to meet a friend or read a book, Dos Gatos is the place!Love the super cute logo. Love the design and that it celebrates the owners cats.I regularly use my purchased Dos Gatos mug at home as well. It's the perfect size for coffee, tea or ice cream.Dietary restrictions: Love that they have something for everyone in snacks, as well as a multitude of milk and non dairy options.

I loved this coffee bar! Their coffee was very high quality and they had the options to substitute milk alternatives. They had plenty of seating and a lot of beautiful artwork along the walls. I highly recommend for anyone in the area!

This is our local coffee house and we recently stopped in for a quick latte. Coffee’s were spot on and in big china mugs which enhances the experience IMO. Also had a couple of tasty savory scones just right with our drinks.

Stopped in Dos Gatos on our anniversary trip to see the turning of the leaves. What we found was a top notch coffee shop! They use Counter Culture Coffee (we are big fans) and house made syrups. The hubs got a hazelnut latte. He said it was smooth and very well made.I got a decaf chai rooibos latte. Which wasn’t my first choice, but due to Covid supply chain issues, I couldn’t have a regular chai tea latte. However, it was delicious! I was really happy I tried it.The place was popping on a Monday mid morning. Lots of people their working or just hanging out.The staff was great. Chill but personable. Enjoyable to talk to and did a great job.If you are looking for a good place to get coffee in Johnson City … this is the place!

Visiting town for a birthday, and decided to get some coffee and breakfast. The toasts were good, yummy thick bread. We got the pimento cheese and pickle (!!!) and the salmon toasts. I got an iced chai and the flavor wasn’t really present. My partner agreed that it didn’t have a strong enough chai flavor. I would say skip the coffee and enjoy the food!

Good coffee in downtown Johnson City. They use Stumptown Beans. Friendly Baristas and plenty of seating including some nice window seating. Americano, Latte (Cold and Hot) and Hot Chocolate are all good... While the pour art is great the shop is not quite Third Wave, but on its way. Great toast options as well as other local based pastries. Parking is a little tricky during certain times of the day, but definitely worth the stop. We enjoyed our visits this summer while in town.

You can get a coffee anywhere, why come to Dos Gatos?1 Start with basics- it’s good quality coffee using local roasters. Milkoptions and GF food for special diet folks. Always clean & sanitary.2 Rotating menu of seasonal coffees, tea drinks and foods. I always look forward to their new menus! A lot of effort and creativity is evident: in-shop crafted syrups, infusions & fancy toppings? Yes please! They always keep the basics too, though.3 Supports other local farmers, businesses, artists, etc. Their impressive ‘Partners’ list shows they walk their talk.4 Owners have contributed to growth and culture of downtown JC for decades with various businesses, committees, and events. That’s where I want to spend my money!

Dos Gatos is our favorite JC haunt. They create amazing seasonal drinks and bites. They make as much in-house as possible, and they make a point to buy from local businesses and farmers. They raise people up. There are multiple businesses in Johnson City that got their first step up from Dos Gatos. Check out the menue when you visit and look for the items that have been credited to other local business. They can tell you exactly where the coffee came from. We consume so much coffee in this country without thought of the source. Dos Gatos takes ethics to heart.*The drinks are amazing, the food is good.**They love their community and it shows.**Do go try the jams from Housefly Victles.**This is a safe space for everyone.*Vegetarian options: Most menue items are vegetarian or vegan. They will even tell you which house-made syrups are vegan.Dietary restrictions: Our family is both dairy free and gluten-free. They use barista grade oat milk that is super creamy, and have gluten-free options that always satisfy.

Perfect place to get work done or meeting up with friends. Their selection is amazing - I cannot speak highly enough about their care and quality they put into every detail. If you want a real cup of coffee go here!I am updating because I want to give their owners credit for working to be inclusive and culturally open to any patrons needs and backgrounds.I love this shop because of how diverse the team is and how the atmosphere is welcoming and relaxed.

I really enjoy Dos Gatos and have been going there since before their new location. The new location is wonderful and homey feeling. Their sunflower pesto toast is splendid. They have a nice selection of coffee including my favorite, Telos, which is a local coffee roaster. They also were the first place in Johnson City to carry nitro coffee and have a few different options with this. Definitely worth a try if you're in the area.

The staff are so friendly and helpful. I loved how much they all seemed like one big happy family. The atmosphere was alright, it didn't seem to match downtown Johnson City vibes, it would fit will in a more rustic city or a different part of JC. Anyway though, that's just my opinion! Everything there was gorgeous, the art work, the chairs was so beautiful and comfortable, and I liked how they used glassware for, for here orders. I liked that because that helps to reduce single use materials. The coffee I got, wasn't exactly what I like, but I also drink coffee rarely as I mainly drink tea. That day, I wanted coffee. My friend, he enjoyed their coffee. Everything was clean; I think that an establishments restroom reflects their kitchen. And this place's restroom was spotless! So I think the kitchen is also spotless. I definitely recommend this place plus the fact that they had members of the LGBTQ Community working there and friendly to LGBTQ customers.

Used to be my favorite coffee shop while spending time in TN. Not anymore. What an unwelcoming sign. No more gift cards for the fam from here. The Science clearly shows that masks do not stop a virus.

I really wanted to like Dos Gatos and am going to assume I caught them on an off day. It probably isn’t always this way but the staff was very unfriendly. I stood in line and the person taking orders walked away, never greeted or even looked at me. Someone else came in and ordered before me even though I was waiting, because the staff didn’t seem ready to take my order, or acknowledge me. There was a crazy lady in the store making a scene, and who was loitering outside. This probably put the staff in a bad mood, understandably so. My coffee however was sour tasting, and I paid for the larger size and received the smaller one. Felt too unwelcome to say anything to the staff. Once again, I probably just came in at the wrong time and I doubt service is always like this.
