I shop DG a lot.... Today was my first visit to the Broadway store. This store was great! Clean, organized, friendly staff. This store is a model for other DG's to strive for. Definitely will shop here more!

I shop here often. I have had a couple employees in the past check me out that was kinda rude, didn't say one word the whole time, didn't tell me the total due or thank you have a good day, nothing. I don't think those people are employed at this location anymore. The shelves are normally bare around the time to put seasonal / holiday stuff out, the new shipment of product stays on the floor in the middle of the aisle for days before it gets completely put onto shelves.

They do have a wide selection of items. The prices are decent but sometimes more expensive than other stores. There are some good buys to be had still. I like their digital coupons. Hopefully in the near future the item choices will increase.This particular store has a high turn over rate of the employees. Some are great... most not so much.I run into lots of items not priced at all here. It is very annoying. The "clearance" section is awful. MOST things are not even reduced at all. If the customer notices, the manager will usually come fix it. It happens too much at too many locations to be an "accident". The biggest problem with this store is that if you are in a wheelchair, use a walker, or just a "wide" person...just forget going in. Free-standing displays fill most isles leaving about 2' to get through. Sometimes a single cart of their own won't fit down an isle. Two people cannot pass on any isle without great effort. When merchandise is brought out, it is rolled out and piled everywhere. That makes maneuvering through the store even difficult. If this store wasn't extremely convenient, I probably wouldn't shop at this location.(10/31/18 Update: I have lowered my score for this location from my original 3 stars to 1 star. I have tried 3 times to reach someone above store level about an awful experience I had with two of the employees during my last visit. I continually get "someone will get back with you" from corporate. That was about 3 weeks ago and no response whatsoever. No email, no call, no letter via USPS. Nothing. The employee's attitudes and actions towards me were ridiculous and no one really seems to care. I was literally expected to purchase food where the manufacturer's box had been opened prior and was in the freezer. I was treated like I was the world's dumbest person, insulted, and ignored for not wanting to buy an open package... by not just one, but two employees. I wasn't even being difficult about it. I just put it back in the freezer, got another one, and told an employee near me the package was open. That's when it started. I won't go into more details as this review is long enough... however now I know 100% Dollar General Corporate could care less about customer service, safe access to the disabled, honest and legal pricing... now even food safety... I will be avoiding ALL Dollar General stores now... not just this one location.)

Not a good representation of the company. I know they aren't in the best of neighborhoods, but the parking lot is always trashed with debris and garbage. The employees don't interact with you. There have been a number of items out of stock for weeks. Food has been out of date. (just ate a pizza that wasn't quite right, it's 2 months out of date) Saw a package of deli meat recently that was obviously a different color than the others around it, I checked, out of date. Looks like a customer placed a drink in the freezer, it busted and was still there. So either they are short staffed, or it's poor management in my opinion. With a Family Dollar right next door, you would think they would up their game, to be better.

Always the Best. They seem to always have just what I need and then some because I always come out with more than my intentions upon entering the store. They have the cutest crafty things. My kids and grandkids are loving the convenience of having the store so close to us. Smart idea to have them on every corner? LoL.

Great store, very clean, nice staff, good selection of items. Only problem is they don't have a public restroom anymore. It's one of the best Dollar General's in Johnson City. I'm a very loyal customer and visit this store weekly.

Larger selection of stuff than most "dollar" type stores. The store was clean and employees were polite as well as helpful. Shopping hours are convenient. With a wide variety of can and dry goods, freezer and cooler section.

Good customer service at this store! They are very willing to help you find things your looking for. They just don't point and say go right or whatever they actually take you and show you even if you say that's okay I can find it. Great employees! Good sales too every month!

Because first of all it's close to me and second of all there's a guy that works there I can't remember his name he's very sweet person and they pretty much keep their stock stocked up they have about anything and everything you need and I think they have good deals on their paper towels and their toilet paper and they have nice clothing actually some of the clothes in their name brand and they are good about telling you wear something that if you're in question and if you can't find it if they're not busy they will help you find it that store stays packed a lot and I go there all the time about every day if I need something

I don't like trying to get to items I need & aisles are blocked by huge carts of unboxed, unwrapped merchandise, or displays. Some stores appear unkept, & I don't like it when I find empty packages, and the item has been taken, aka stolen. Biggest pet peeve is having only 1 register open, & it's backed up.

The manager woman here is a B***H. She accuses customers, paying customers that is, of stealing/shoplifting when they aren't or haven't ever. I have seen her do this on several occasions to different customers. She runs them out of the store & that's it. If they truly stole something then why not call the cops? Maybe because she's worried the cops will find out she's a meth head & bust her. Hell the location of this store is in the heart of crack town. Probably makes her feel right at home, home away from home!

I couldnt get the help I needed. I was looking for a particular body lotion. It was out on the shelf. The woman working acted as if she didnt know when they got another shipment. Arent the employees supposed to know when truck shows up?? Shes like "um, i dont know why we are out. Im sorry I dont know when we will have more.." I call back to tell management and they dont even care. I dont bother with this Dollar General no more. I go next door to Family Dollar now. At least if they dont have what im looking for they will assure me when they will have more in stock or offer me the next best thing for the best price.

I would rather do without than shop there. The staff seemed to be unaware that I was waiting to check out for well over 5 minutes. They were too distracted gossiping and chatting than to be bothered with ringing up my order.

The Dollar General over here on Broadway needs to be maintained more as far as cleanliness. Also it would be nice if they would get friendlier employees
