Nice people greet you at the desk. The small lobby area is old, but tidy enough. The silent TV plays Fox News. Keep your expectations in check; this is a low-budget place that might never get another update before they raze it. There's no one looking after the regular upkeep. Walks, stairs, breezeways appear to not be on a regular cleaning, sweeping, or pressure-washing schedule. The parking lot needs sweeping and striping. Bedding and linens feel old. Fixtures and hardware are old, outdated. The cleaners don't really get everything right. They're not changing the sheets if they don't see or smell evidence of human activity. But everything worked. Not gonna fault anyone for that. This is an old-school motel. No interior stairs. Two floors of rooms all opening to the outdoors.Buzzy a/c window/wall units cool each room. Concrete surfaces and iron/steel structure are sturdy and dirty. Bring a power splitter! There are not enough plugs near the beds to charge your stuff and keep the lights on. The pool appeared to be up and running. The pumps were bubbling away. But no one had cleaned the pool. It was pretty gross. The advertised "Free breakfast" is simply orange juice and apple juice from a dispenser, packaged "Nutri-Grain" bars in a bowl. Two decanters of coffee, caff and decaf. A roll of paper towels. Paper cups, a bowl of liquid creamers (not chilled, and not on ice), sweetener packets. That's it. No cereal. No milk. No waffle iron. No fruit. No toast. No donuts. No bagels. No eggs. No bacon. No spoons. No napkins. There is a jug water cooler/dispenser. Four bare tables with chairs. The lighting in the breakfast room is from overhead fluorescent tubes, several of which were burned out, and most of which, when lit, were mismatched. Okay. Those are facts. But three adults slept in a (noisily) cooled room for $90 total. That price brings low expectations. Pop in your earplugs. Snooze. Get up. Leave. My advice? Go for it. Pay for cheap. Get cheap. Save money for elsewhere and other things. Just sleep and go.Safety: It's doesn't feel dangerous. Just old. Unkempt.

I appreciate this hotel being right off the interstate and affordable. Those were a couple of very important things. But there are issues that blighted my stay.Rooms: First, the rooms were adequate. The amenities were there, they were overly cramped, though not the best, but there were some cleanliness issues. One of the beads preads looked to have something on it and the floor of the bathroom looked less kept. Debris and junk sticking to the grout, etc. The room also smelled like smoke when I arrived, even though it was non-smoking. Finally, the worst part was finding a live roach in the bathroom. That was unfortunate. I. Only didn't go a one on the room because I've been in some horrible places. But for most people, that might sink it to zero.Service: It was there. Nothing special or above average. I did get the feeling from the night clerk that she didn't really care about me, or even looked down on me for some reason. Whatever the case, nothing overt. Just adequate.Location is great. Outside the main city a bit if you want to avoid all that. Near food and gas and the interstate.

I'd like to start this off by saying, I prefer to find inexpensive but SAFE places to stay when I'm traveling. I'm not big on paying the big bucks for a super nice hotel room when I plan on exploring the city and spending hardly any time in the room anyways. I'd rather save that money to spend on food and experiences while I'm out. I just look for a safe and quiet place to rest after spending all day exploring the town, so while this place absolutely fit the bill, this review may not be for everyone. This Days Inn in Joelton was an excellent property for the price! When it comes to hotels and motels, you typically get what you pay for, but this one definitely exceeded my expectations (especially after seeing the AWFUL conditions of the Days Inn in Memphis I stayed at the following week for the same price). The condition of the room was pleasantly clean and had no lingering smells. It was very quiet and peaceful and I felt relatively safe for a motel! There was plenty of parking, the bathroom was spotless, and it was in an extremely convenient location for the traveling my partner and I were doing. I brought my two dogs who bark at any odd noises or the sound of other people and they were perfectly content in this quiet motel. All the amenities worked well for me and the walls were excellent at muting sounds, both from entering and leaving the room(I like to play music for the dogs if I leave them, but always check the volume outside the door to be respectful of others). I gave it four stars out of five because you could tell that it was a cheap motel and it showed in the condition of the property and the style choices(bright red carpets in the rooms). Overall I was actually extremely impressed with what I got for the price and would absolutely stay here again.Rooms: The room were kept decently clean. The bathrooms are spotless when I stayed, but the main room wasn't spotless, though it didn't feel dirty or anything. The bright red carpets in the rooms aren't exactly a GOOD fashion choices but the carpets were clean and not stained so I'm not complaining. All of the outlets and electronics worked, including the AC (I like it cold when I sleep at night).Safety: The motel was in a secluded little area next to a few local food places. It was quiet and had very little activity going on outside of the local food places on Sunday brunch. Numerous families with kids were staying at this motel and we're all very friendly when I'd pass them to walk my dogs(lots of the kids liked watched the cute dogs). I didn't feel unsafe in the slightest!

My friends and I stayed here for 3 nights while visiting Nashville and it was great for the price! Our room was clean, comfortable, and bug-free, but definitely old-fashioned as other reviews have stated. The staff were really friendly and the location in general felt safe. The "breakfast" they had was a little lackluster, consisting of Nutrigrain bars, coffee, apple juice, and orange juice, but it was enough to hold us over until we could go out for some real breakfast. All in all, if you're visiting Nashville and not looking for anywhere fancy to stay, I highly recommend this hotel!

Disgusting! Keep driving.Old and outdated. No hot breakfast as advertised. Coffee and breakfast bar only. Nasty stained carpet. Booked a smoke free room yet burn holes on carpet, bedding and it smelled like old cigarettes. Booked for 2 nights but left first thing in the morning and went elsewhere.

We were able to get a small hotel room with two beds last minute. We have a small dog (pug) and it was only $10 more for a dog. Very clean room, no dirt, no bugs, no sign of anyone else ever existing in this room before us. Fridge, microwave and coffee maker all spotless. Individually wrapped coffee, cups, and cream/sugars which for me, a person with allergies severe enough that cross contact is an issue, was AMAZING. The staff is very friendly. They have a pool, we didn't use it but it looked decent from afar too. Not a luxury hotel or anything, but perfect for a quick night stay.Definitely would stay again, this was a fantastic experience.

It was ok for the night. Felt like a safe part of town for an overnight stop goin home.Safety: Didn't hear sirens or have people hanging around or out in the parking lot.

This place is right off of hwy 24. The rooms do need updated...however..I have stayed 3 different times and 3 different rooms. The front counter is always nice.. there are wonderful restaurants near there..like walking distance.. there is a MASSIVE pot hole between rooms 120 and 122 that will swallow your car. But over all nice place to lay your head!

We've stayed here quite a bit, staff is always friendly and the rooms always have nice bright white linens and are clean. No critters 😂. The only negative I can see is the fluctuation of the price of the room. For instance. You can rent it on a Tuesday one week and the following week you can get the same exact room but the price changes $20 to $30 for and they're not be a big event going on in Nashville. Other than that cool little spot.

We got stranded here due to our car breaking down outside nashville. The staff was absolutely amazing and so kind and helpful to us during the two days we were there. The pool wasn't open quite yet when I was here. Also to plan ahead the only breakfast option is juice, coffee, and breakfast bars. There is several places to eat very close by within walking distance. It's a good value if you are looking for somewhere safe to just sleep.

Staff was very friendly. HOWEVER!! I stayed in a first floor room and it was absolutely infested with roaches to include many baby roaches. This was the last motel stay of my 16 day motorcycle camping / motel trip. this was by far the worst stay in the entire trip to include camping. I counted at least 30 roaches ranging from adult to little baby roaches. I did not see any evidence of bed bugs. room was clean otherwise but certainly bug infested. I kept everything except what I absolutely needed packed on the bike. I will never trust Days Inn or Priceline again.also, many of the recent reviews here were positive, how? room was very date but I could live with that. The bug infest ion is a no-go. I stayed here because it was the last night of trip before heading home near Atlanta and I already paid via Priceline.my advice is to stay somewhere else.Update: I ended up not staying the whole night and left around midnight. The cockroaches were unbelievable. Complete infestation.

It's cheaper than staying in downtown Nashville but then it sorta inconveniences you if you want to go back to shower and go out again because it's a 20 minute drive. Room was sorta musty and really hot until loud ac worked quite a while, lots of stains on carpet. TV was a weird wonky format, like a stretched image, decent amount of channels though. Everything else was decently clean, the check in desk worker was nice. Usual accomodations such as ice machine, coffee, toiletries. Breakfast was just nutrigrain bars and juice. It is one of those outdoor motels no hallways. Also the pool smelled heavily chlorinated maybe overly so as you were able to smell it from a really far distance.

You get what you pay for. Location was right next to the highway, which was great for being on a multi-stop road trip. Even as a smoker, the smell of the room was overwhelming. Rooms need updating. Make sure you don't walk on the carpet without shoes. If you're looking for somewhere to sleep and shower, it's fine.

Front desk lady was great. Got us in and out.Kind of confused why the smoking rooms are downstairs and the non-smoking are upstairs... Our room smelled like weed as soon as we walked in. My asthmatic son had difficulty all night. Got there at 11:30p and ended up having to leave at 5:00 a.m. instead of sleeping in because he couldn't take the smell of smoke. Place seemed very sketchy.Really wish I could get my $89 back.

An okay place for a quick overnight spot. Reserved a non-smoking room but the room had a faint smell of smoke anyways. Luckily I had some Febreeze on hand to help freshen up the room. Room is outdated and the paint was peeling. The location seemed a little sketchy but only about 30 minutes out of Nashville. The ladies at the front desk were pleasant.
