This franchise had been one of my.favorite for many years. Today I sadly disappointed...not many mice, gerbils, rats, rabbits or guinea pigs. Fish tanks looked like they needed to be cleaned...foggy. I love parrot cichlids only 2 in store ;( aisles seemed to be in disarray not the neatest store I've been to. Sales staff not overly excited about customers today. I'm sorry but this is a retail department it would be nice if interaction more positive. I will be going to another pet store to see what they have..

Petco has so many things for your pets. Exotic or regular dog and cat merchandise. If you want to buy a snake, they have them, fish, turtles, birds, lizards. It's so cool to walk around and see the variety.

It's like a pet convenient store, just big enough to find what you need and small enough to get out of there quickly. Located in a strip mall. The checkout clerk was very friendly and it was refreshing to see someone enjoying his day behind the counter in a genuine way. That kid has potential.

Couldn’t figure out why there was an odor every time I came in. Now I know it is because you keep ferrets! Lightbulb moment! You always have the Wellness Tasty Morsels I have to have for my senior cat with CKD. I APPRECIATE THAT!

They refused to bathe my three year old lab because I had given him an organic treat to help calm him down as directed by my vet.Don’t take your pet here. They have bathed him before so they broke their foolish rules!

There were 3 other customers in the store at the time. None of us could find a Employee. Finally, a man appeared from a room. He was not very nice when I asked him a question or when the other austere ready to come out.

1st time ever being inside a petco, I had no idea where anything was, and I couldn't find any1 to help me. When I finally found the dog food area, I picked up the food and proceeded to the check out, and yet again, there was no one there to check myself and another lady out. After waiting about 10-12 min for someone to show up, he checked out the lady in front of me, and then another employee told him to come with him. About 5 min later, another guy showed up, still chomping on food. He proceeded to try and talk to me with food in his mouth. I can honestly say I will not b back to petco

First and most importantly, the take horrible care of their animals. If you know ANYTHING about reptiles, you can see how much theirs are suffering. It makes me sick to my stomach when I see them.Second, they will do anything to get you to buy their animals. The will minimalize the animal's needs drastically to get you to buy them. I've even had a former employee tell me "Yeah, we're told to do anything to sell the animals."Third, the places they get their animals are beyond horrible. They buy from breeders who's sole purpose is to mass produce as many animals as possible.Please, please do your research. Buy or adopt from a reputable breeder or a small animal shelter. Do not support this animal cruelty.Update: Thank you for your reply. Since no one seems to know, the bearded dragons are especially bad. They are way too thin and small. And every single time I see them, they either have severe stress marks (black marks on their belly) or are closing their eyes (something they only do under extreme stress). These can also be signs of being way too cold. And their lights are all wrong. The lid of the cages are blocking the UVB lights, rendering them almost useless and making them prone to metabolic bone disease. And PLEASE stop telling people they only require a 40 gallon tank!!! They need an 120 gallon tank. I have done TONS of research on these guys and have owned them my whole life. There is a lot of misinformation out there. Stop spreading it.I'm by no means an expert on any other reptiles, but I'm sure they share similar problems.And the hamsters. Gosh. Stop telling people that dwarf hamsters can live together. Occasionally they can, and a quick Google search will also tell you they can. But I have heard SO many horror stories from owners whose dwarfs killed each other. It's not worth the risk, or trying to sell an extra hamster over.And the cages you sell are by no means suitable for any hamster! At least the ones with the bright colors and tunnels and castles. They are WAY too small, cheap, and can even be dangerous to the hamsters. Hamsters need bigger cages that can hold deeper bedding and give them space to run. I've rescued my hamsters who had lived in your tiny cages their whole little lives and were MORBIDLY obese due to lack of exercise. Many of them died early. You are literally shortening your hamster's life by getting these "fun" cages. Your hamster's cage is the place where it will spend the rest of its life in. It's not some toy that you sell to kids who go "Ooh, a hamster castle! So cute! I bet my hamster will love it!" They will not.I don't know much about fish, but I sure do see a lot of dead ones in your cages. And out of them. The setup you have for the fish allows them to occasionally jump out, therefore killing them.People trust you, Petco. They believe what your employees tell them. Please, educate your employees. There's enough misinformation out there. Don't subject your animals to a life of cruelty (unbeknownst to their owners) so you can sell a few more. You have a duty to them.

Took my Yorkie here to get groomed and I was told they would do the best they could. I received a call back within twenty minutes stating they were done due to the dog not be cooperative for the grooming process. I really think the staff here is subpar and I will never bring my pet here again just to hear excuses as to why the couldn’t give him a full cut.

My grand daughter ,asked to be taken to petco to see 👀 the animals. It was kinda busy, but there wasn't that many pets to choose from. No puppies or kittens, lots of fish and reptiles, just two stray cats being offered for adoption. I haven't been to a pet store in years, and I was surprised that 😳 petco only had just 2 cats on display.

Tofu is very helpful and a pleasure to deal with. We came in to buy plants, they hand picked all of our plants for us, and answered all of our questions. They are also a great asset to the company!

Employees could be a little more friendly and smile a little. I went in mainly to look at fish but I didn't see what I was looking for. I was specifically looking for a black bug eyed goldfish. Quite a few of the fish tanks had a sign on them saying not to sell any fish from that tank. I'm not sure what the reasoning of that was, but it made me a little leary to purchase any of the fish. The ferret was adorable, and so were the hamsters.

Decent place seems overpriced I still the same diapers and belly bands but in color for a 1/3 of the price at the Exotic Pet Expo in Jackson. If they come down a little on their prices it would be a great place and I would give it 5 stars.

The store was very nasty and cluttered everywhere. Most of the live food for reptiles were died and some containers in the back even had mold on them. I had to triple check the few containers I was able to purchase. If I wasn’t in desperate need due to my shipment of reptile food being delayed I would have walked out instantly. I would have also got my cats a new thing of cat grass if they were not all dead up on the cash register.

I am very impressed with how clean the store is. All of the tanks and cages are well maintained and everything live looks well tended to. Prices are good and I just learned that they will match their own online prices if you find them to be cheaper than in store.

I have never had a problem out of Petco grooming….but recently my dog never has his nails trimmed, is still shedding when I pick him up, and I’ve picked him up when he was still over half wet. I’ve taken my dog here for YEARS and never had a problem! Maria used to groom my dog and always had him looking amazing!! There was never extra hair still on him, he was always completely dry, and his nails looked flawless!! But recently it’s just been awful and I pay about $100 ….it’s certainly not worth buying this big package and hardly having anything done correctly…..definitely will be looking for somewhere else to take my dog because this is ridiculous!
