So, Friday after work, I decided to stop at Food Rite on East Chester. I have never been in there, but heard they had good meat. I was looking for baby back ribs and wings that were already cut into flats and drummies. I was browsing through the chicken, but didn't see anything. This kind masked woman asked what I needed. I told her I wanted 100 wings that were already cut. She said she would be right back. She came out 5 minutes later with a pack of flats, and a pack of drummies. I grabbed 3 racks of baby backs, some mac n cheese, and hit the road. THANK YOU SO MUCH! It saved me so much time not having to cut the wings apart. My family was stoked at the spread I had ready for them Saturday night! I will be back in a couple weeks....

I always try and shop local but I will never go in this store again. I just moved to the area and ran in tonight to get some syrup and oatmeal for my kids. When I walked in everyone looked at me as if how dare I come in the store. When I was checking out the young girl was so hateful and mean. She asked if it was credit and I said yes and she rolled her eyes and the energy that she shoved the receipt at me as well as making fun of the way I talk. I even tried to joke with her and she looked at me as if I disgusted her. When I was leaving not one person said bye thank you have a good day nothing even the manager came stomping out the office said nothing. It’s so sad because that store wasn’t built like that with the old owners.

First time in years that I have been in the area. Food Rite was having a 1 day sale on meat! A very, very good sale! They had ground beef for 1.99, 10# of chicken leg quarters for 6.99. Plus, many more great deals. It was packed! The people were friendly there also! I hope they could continue to have these sales for the people more. Thanks, Food Rite! You and the people were great today!

It's really nice to have a local grocery. There are a lot of seniors in this area who dont drive, so we walk and we love it.

Best meats in town. Will cut to specification. However they didn't have whole chickens before Thanksgiving. I always run into friends and stay up to an hour longer than planned. Good people. So maybe 4 1/2 stars. Shop and socialize.

I went to Food Rite shortly after leaving a Kroger location. I found everything that I couldn't find there. The shelves were stocked and neat. I got in and out without any delays. I should have went to Food Rite first.

I was in the Jackson store today...they put the WRONG sales add out and refused to honor it! Like I said and told them the stack of ads was put out by the workers not me and why would I have to come back! I called twice just for the female managers to try to just apologize...this was ridiculous....customer service is 1st...never second! It's bad enough the meat has to be used immediately or it will spoil this here tops the cake...Food Rite has not been my number 1 store in years! Smh. I'm so fed up! One o'clock in the afternoon and no one caught the mistakes....sad

Love the fact that this store has remained here in east Jackson from the formally Camp's to now Food Rite when many stores in minority neighborhoods cannot seem to find a way to remain in business. Been coming here since the 70s even though I have never lived in this area ofctown.

This store is alright. It's been a staple in the community for a long time from camps to Kay's now food rite. The area is low income based and a lot of people don't have transportation so it is important to them. For the most part meat prices are the best deal in the store when the meat is fresh. Everything else is overpriced. A gallon of milk is $5 and some change whereas at Kroger or walmart you can get a gallon for half the price $2.49. Shelf and freezer foods are all overpriced.

I always have a good shopping experience here. This is my neighborhood store. I do my run in and pick up items. They have the best meats and fresh produce. However their prices can be higher.

It wasn't crowded at all in the store, store was clean, have great prices on items. Bought a few items wasn't going in for but couldn't pass up the deal on them. Checkout line wasn't long and cashier was friendly.

I never shopped in there but once only it's okay though they got a pretty organized in that store though and a lot of stuff in there cheap as hell compared to most grocery stores I love that store too

Well I love food rite but sometimes their food is too old! I brought a Edwards lemon frozen pie and the crust was totally too old and it crumble to pieces!

Convient place to get food, and the staff are pleasant. It is not a supermarket, but it has a variety of food selections. This is a good market only. Kind of like a smaller version of "Food Giant" if you will.

One checker had a baaaad attitude,and try to talk about different people coming in store. I go there as little as possible. Went there last week and bought chicken breast ,they are spoiled 2 family packs. The lady with bad attitude did not want to give us a refund,gave us a run around. I started to call the Health Department.

It was my first time being there search Unity minority store in a minority neighborhood you can definitely see the difference between minority grocery stores and Metro Paula Deen or Midtown stores it's okay however the products and the vegetables and things could be upgraded I was a little upset at the way stuff looks all little and flimsy in you can most definitely tell me was a grocery store in the minority neighborhood all supported I'm not sure if it's black on but I know black lot of black people go there

My family come from Chicago and every time we come home we stop and get plenty of jungle juice we love it we love it grew up drinking it and wouldn't change it for the world I just wished we could get it in Chicago 🤗🤩😍
