This is a great location to visit. I met one of the owners during my visit (Miranda) and she was amazing! Celly the cat is friendly too. You can feel the history as soon as you walk into the jail. Definitely worth visiting. You won't be disappointed.

We found out about this place on The Appalachian Channel on YouTube. We finally made the drive up yesterday afternoon and it was such an amazing experience. The building itself just oozes history when you look at it. Dr. Kristy was very informative and very kind. She told us about the history of the jail and some paranormal stuff too! Can't wait to go back and try a flashlight tour! I'd give this place way more than 5 stars if it was possible!

I did the breakout game with 2 of my older teens. It was a good challenge, and we had a good time. I'd recommend it. Realize that the group size limit is 4 for that though, because you start in a fairly small cell.We also did the flashlight tour. That had more emphasis on the paranormal, so if I go back with another group, I'd probably just do the regular tour because there is plenty of historical information to make it interesting on its own.Also note that a key feature is the jailhouse cat Celly, so this may not be a good choice if you have bad allergies.

A group of friends and I went to check out this amazing location and we were not disappointed by no means! Just standing out side alone was a treat to look at this beautiful historic site between the architecture to the appearance of the jail is simply beautiful and amazing. Then the fact that it sits back and its seemingly hidden behind other structures in this small rural town you would not even know that it was back there it's a true gem that's hidden just waiting to be discovered. Then to walk inside and hear the rich history of not only the town but this jail from start to finish by an amazing well knowledge guide who actually knows the history and has a love for its preserverance. It was truly worth the trip we all made to see it. They have several options to see this place from day tour's to paranormal investigation. From a paranormal standpoint it was extremely active from doors slamming to disembodied voices to equipment failure, batteries draining, the interactions with the spirits with intelligence responses of off the charts. I gave this place 5 stars but if I could I would give it 10. Thanks to the ladies who runs it. Miranda and Kris these ladies are simply amazing! So if you are thinking about historical locations you definitely want to see this place its an experience you will not forget.

I absolutely love this place and will be going again I like hearing about the history of the place. Guys you should definitely go visit this place well worth it to learn about what became of people there and how the experience was there… i definitely would give this place 10 stars instead of 5. I loved all the displays and never know what was around the next turn.. Even caught myself my own paranormal thing on cam it’s exciting.

Very cool place, focus on history so you get a lot of information on what happened there and the people who were there. Kristy was an excellent tour guide to us. Very cool to see photographs of the place and how it transformed and the different tools there. 10 out of 10, would definitely pet Celly the Jail Cat again! What a sweet kitty! 🐈

I honestly don't know where to begin, I have to leave a review. I LOVED our TOUR I took Thursday and I couldn't get enough so I had to go back for a paranormal flashlight ghost tour friday and WOW it was phenomenal it was definitely spooky our tour guide was super sweet and very informational I highly recommend you to take a tour even if your a local there is a lot of things I didn't even know so swing by check it out I even seen paranormal proof it was AWESOME!

My group (well part of my group) and I were able to secure this location for our paranormal investigation. First of all, It’s like opening a time capsule. The history is just astonishing. We were shocked at some of the stories. I won’t spoil it for you. So trust me if you are interested in paranormal research or just a history lover, put this little piece of Tennessee on your list.

Excellent historical tour of a unique county jail. Really interesting displays with a great tour that includes interesting stories about local crimes, the inmates, and even the ghosts rumored to inhabit the jail itself! We even got to meet the resident jail kitty named "Celly".Highly recommend for those interested in historical or paranormal tours.Something to note is the jail is three stories but does not have an elevator, so moderate use of stairs is required for the tour if that's a concern. Other than that it's really interesting and fun.Highly recommend a visit.

Wow! This place is amazing! I've been there a few times and the paranormal activity was fascinating. While on the second floor, we heard jail cell doors open and closing on the third floor and a disembodied voice of a man yell something out. Phantom smells each time as well.

Have not visited their location but have shopped online via their website. Their site is straight forward and easy to use; and the items I purchased arrived safely packaged and on time. I would feel comfortable recommending them to anyone and will be ordering from them again. Hopefully I will be visiting them in person soon.

The Historic Scott County Jail has a 3-story true crime museum that details the history of crime and law enforcement in Scott County, TN. There are lots of interesting artifacts and articles around the museum to read and you could literally spend hours reading and looking at the displays. The jail is also haunted and is a paranormal research center! In the evenings the museum hosts "After Dark" Flashlight Tours, Guided Ghost Hunts, Haunted History Walks and Private Paranormal Investigations. Disembodied voices, shadow figures and phantom footsteps have been captured by investigators during their stay at the jail.

I went here for the celebration of my 60th birthday. Had a great time. Miranda and Christie Provided excellent equipment for our investigation. There was quite a bit of activity. I even got pinched! I recommend going here If you're into the paranormal. Not only were they very professional and knew a lot about what they were doing, they also gave me cupcakes for my birthday. My group and I had an awesome Time.

I highly recommend a visit to the Historic Scott County Jail! Miranda and Kristy have done an amazing job of research and presenting information in an accessible and interesting way. My family and I went on an evening flashlight tour. Go! You won't regret it. Fascinating history and local lore coupled with the paranormal makes for a fun night out! Looking for something cool to do in the area? This is a great activity! They will tailor the tour to your interests. 10/10 would recommend!

We did the flashlight tour with our family and it was a lot of fun! Kristy and Miranda wereexcellent guides and were very patient with the younger members of our group who were more interested in shining the flashlight all over instead of listening. We especially loved the paranormal aspect of the tour. We would recommend this tour for people who are looking for something a little different.

My boyfriend and I took a small one day trip to see this historic jail. It truly was amazing! We really enjoyed ever minute of our visit and the lady that was working was friendly and made us feel welcomed. She told us about the audio tour and that was really an added bonus. We are looking forward to going back to do the escape room soon.

This place is a gem! We drove from WI to visit the Cumberland falls area and took a side trip to visit this jail. And I'm so glad we did! We got there at 3 pm, an hour before closing time, and the owner, Christie, told us not to rush and was super nice and knowledgeable about the place and it's history. You can use an app at different points in the building which tells you interesting things about that room. There are original makeshift weapons the inmates made, escape devices like a rope made of bedsheets, and a home made tattoo device made of parts of an old cassette tape, pen ink and batteries. The pictures and stories of the inmates and guards are well presented and fascinating! Christie shared other stories not mentioned anywhere about the memories of locals who lived and worked there. The owners did a great job with all their work and research they put into it and I'd highly recommend visiting it! If I'm back in this area, I'll definitely come back!
