The rooms here were surprisingly nice. The AC unit was good and everything looked new. To top that off, the beds were very comfortable. But if you’re coming for fishing, this lake is overhyped. There are fish, and some people did well, but it’s not an easy lake to fish despite how good it looks. We caught 2 bluegills, 2 crappie, and 1 sturgeon over 3 days of fishing. It was slow and brutal and they simply would not bite. The fishing accommodations are also pretty mediocre. You have to bring your own trolling motor and battery. They don’t come with any sort of electronics, and they don’t even tell you good spots to go. I would expect more for the money.Overall, I’m leaving 3/5 stars because I think it’s fair. The food was good and the rooms were exceptional, but if you’re coming here for fishing, I would look elsewhere unless you 1) intend to fish with a guide or 2) have advanced electronics to locate underwater structure. Sight fishing structure along the shore was not successful.

We stayed at Blue Bank Resort two years ago and as we arrived our car broke down right out front on the road at the resort. The staff was absolutely fantastic!! They brought over a side by side for our luggage, helped us to our room, helped us with repairs, one of the staff offered their personal car if we needed to go anywhere while it was being fixed and the entire stay helped me in and out of the boat each day!! These people are fantastic and I can't wait to return next month!!

Service was horrible!! We were seated, and I had to physically get up and start to walk out before anyone acknowledged us being there!! I was able to get my sweet tea, but It took another 6 to 7 minutes for my husband to get his drink . We had to even ask for rolls . ROLLS THAT EVERYONE ELSE RECEIVED WHEN THEY WAS SEATED !!! FIRST TIME EVER TO NOT LEAVE A TIP BUT DAMN! Food was good, tho

Never again! Been planning to come here for years and a buddy and I were finally able to save up enough to go only to be severely disappointed.(Skip to the room section for the worst part of our experience if you don’t want to read full review.)Our first impression when we pulled up was that the structures themselves seemed to be in need of some care, but it could have been a rough winter for them and we “let it slide”. We arrived a bit early and the front desk seemed pretty nice and willing to help. They said we could get our bait and boat if we wanted to head out, but the wind was pretty bad and we saw other boaters coming in due to the conditions. Even the teenagers who were helping out with the boats advised that going out wasn’t a good idea. We decided to try and do some bank fishing instead of wasting the day and when we asked for recommendations on a good place to try, the front desk staff tried to help us out by taking us back to where four of the fishing guides were finishing up their lunch. I’m not one who enjoys being interrupted on my lunch break either, but they hesitant to help and just seemed annoyed.(The room)When we got back we were given the keys to our room and were informed that there was also a “complimentary” cook out between 6-6:30. (See lower section for this disaster) We made our way to our room and we opened the door only to be overwhelmed by the smell of some Fabuloso type cleaner smell. (It was bad enough that we left our door open for hours to help get rid of the smell.) The floor right inside of the door looked as though it had dried blood or some other dried substance all around the entry way (see pictures). The rest of the floor had a greasy type feel where our shoes kind of slipped around. One of the dresser drawers was missing its knob and it had an exposed pointed end screw. I went to plug in a cell phone charger just to find that the outlet directly behind the mattress didn’t have a cover on it.(The bathroom)The shower had a used bar of soap in one of the corners, somebody else’s hair in the tub section and a paint chipped shower curtain bar.We sat outside on the front porch area of the room waiting for both the smell to dissipateand dinner to be ready. During this time I made mention to a staff member who was walking by about the condition of our room to which I got the responses, “sorry” as he kept walking.(The “complimentary” cook out)When 6:30 rolled around we saw some other guests make their way to the pool side where the cookout was being held. We walked up as the server put the last pan of food over the sterno and waited for our turn. From the time the last pan went over the sterno to the time we sat down to eat (estimated right around 5 mins) the food was already down to just about room temperature. We then saw another guest ask the server for a beer and received one that she pulled from a cooler behind the serving line. We went up ourselves to ask for a beer and left some money in the tip jar thinking the beer was part of the complimentary deal. After we were done eating we attempted to make our way back to our room and were stopped by the server who asked us to pay for our beer. There were NO signs nor ANY type of communication that the beer wasn’t part of the “complimentary” cookout. After expressing this concern and the server telling us that beer still wasn’t part of it, we were even more surprised that we had been charged $22 for TWO (not two each, but one each for a total of two) 12oz Budweisers and an automatic 25% gratuity added on.TLDR: This place is AWFUL with dirty rooms and lack luster service! I’ve never slept fully clothed and on top of a bed’s sheets before this place. We left a day early with no type of full or partial refund. Please do not waste your money here.Rooms: DISGUSTINGFood & drinks: WAY over priced

Nice place to go great view from cabinRestaurant on site and bait. Boats on site fish cleaning rooms. But can not explain how the package works. Needs to be more friendly at check in desk. Don’t believe the ad that the fishing is great all year. Was there in October and fishing was terrible no one on site caught much of anything but catfish and very little of them. Bluegills not even baiting. Guide told us that March,April and May are the only good months, No one caught any game fish except if you have vision scope to catch fish.Way over hyped for the money doesn’t care if you catch fish or not not sure we go back

I simply got dinner from this location and it was amazing. I got the catfish along with the coleslaw and beans, and everything was freshly prepared and extremely flavorful. The service were very friendly while I waited, and there's a small store in front of the restaurant to keep people engaged who might be waiting for a seat or for to go orders. The scenery outside is beautiful with a lake view and beautiful lighting after dark. Highly recommend!

We really enjoyed our stay here. We had a few couples, so we stayed in a larger cabin. Bathrooms were beautiful, furniture was comfortable, the deck behind the cabin was great with stunning views. The staff restocked our fire wood for the burn ring each day. The restaurant on site was delicious (but pricey). Other than one person at the front desk, everyone was very friendly. We didn't have a ton of luck fishing but we all had a great time.

We ate there at the restaurant and it was excellent. The food was good and so was the service. They have outside seating to eat, and the weather just didn't cooperate for that, but the ambiance there is really good, also.Food & drinks: See above.

PLEASE DO NOT STAY HERE! My expectations of this place were not even close. What they have posted online is a lie. We were told one price when booked, and then when we got there it was somehow $200 more. When we booked the room we were also told that our room had a kitchenette with a stove/oven. We were put into a small what looked like a cheap hotell room with a mini fridge and microwave. When i asked about it they moved us rooms and acted like they were giving us an upgrade. All of the videos and picture of the resort are not current. This place is a dump. Rooms are filthy and covered in mold. The pull out couch had food crumbs and mold all over the mattress. There were bugs everywhere. Used bars of soap were left in the shower. Beds are falling apart, so when you lay down, you roll out of them. When we finaly started to fall asleep, we could hear mice running around. The stove/oven was so rusted and filthy that when I opened it, clumps of I dont know what fell off. There were food wrappers that were not from us. Staff was unfriendly, and they refused to do fishing licenses (which was posted as offered online). We had to go down the road to another resort, that was happy to help us. We ended up having to stay one night and left the next day. They tried to not give our money back until I threatened to call the health department. Still never got the $350 deposit back though.

This place is amazing! Everyone was really friendly! It was a last minute decision and so glad we made it! They are dog friendly and have a cute little butterfly garden to walk around. You can rent a boat to go fishing, relax by the pool, or just sit around the marina with a drink. Great food! Definitely will be back! Thanks, Blue Bank!!

We were so happy with everything about our stay. The room was comfortable and spacious. We had a mini fridge and microwave; which made fixing breakfast and lunch on our own easy. Staff and dock help were very helpful. Everything at the restaurant downstairs was delicious. Even with rainy weather, there were rainy day activities close by to entertain our family. We did a 3 night, 4 day fishing trip with our family of 4 (kids age 9 & 12) and we felt it was very affordable. One of the greatest benefits of this location, is our children could continue to fish off the dock/marina during the evening, while we relaxed on the deck or balcony.

The view from the deck was nice and the food in the dining room was good but the quality of the room was poor and greatly overpriced!! It was $200 and on the level of a room that you might pay at the most $60/ night. Dirty floor, mold in bathroomfurniture, floor wasn't clean, mold in bathroom.

My wife and I stayed 2 nights this February 2022. We loved our accommodations. Our room was clean, warm and reasonably priced. The resort is conveniently located for hiking and participating in the Park’s activities. We relaxed in the resort’s bar prior to dining and enjoyed conversation with the bartender. The evening meals in the dining room were fabulous. Outstanding menu. I wish we had stayed longer to enjoy more of the menu features. We especially enjoyed the live music entertainment. All of the staff members we met were friendly and courteous. We will definitely stay here the next time we visit this beautiful state park.

DO NOT STAY HERE!! This is literally my first review ever. The grounds and the views from Blue Bank Resort are beautiful, and the restaurant was good as well, but the rooms are terrible, and our experience with the fishing guides were just as bad. So, if you are planning to stay here, DON'T! When we went to our room for the night, there were bugs and spiders everywhere. Our entire ceiling was full of spider webs and these little flying bugs we thought were small mosquitos, but they were something else. I was not even able to take a shower because the shower was full of them as well. For the price we paid for our 'lake view' room, we should not have had these issues. I can deal with dated, musty, damp, and even a little dirty, but the bugs were a no go. We were here with another couple and their experienced the same thing in their room. Our husbands had pre-booked a fishing guide to go crappie fishing the next morning. They arrived early, and it's a good thing, because there was no fishing guide booked for them. Someone 'called a buddy' to take them out. So, after spending $400 on a fishing guide that wasn't there, they caught a total of 3 fish, only ONE keeper. I can't say that everyone would have the same experience we did with the guide situation. Thank goodness we had only booked one night. This place has so much potential, but unfortunately we would NEVER go back.

Absolutely wonderful trip! Could not have asked for anything better....everything was amazing! Room, food......the best part was the kindness of every single employee we came in contact with. The dock hands almost become like your friends. It had everything we needed and offered everything expected, above and beyond. Created a wonderful fishing vacation for me and my son that will truly never be forgotten! Any review you read on here that’s not a five star.....it had to be on the individual alone. Will definitely go back and will suggest this place to anyone!

The staff here is extremely helpful and friendly and the lake itself is gorgeous. However, the room itself had dead bugs on the floor and in the window sills when we arrived. There was also some kind of film on the floor so we kept our shoes on the whole time. Not sure what it was. The fishing is not what your let to believe. The first 2 days we only caught 2-4 fish all day. The last day we did ok but it was all small catfish and stripped bass. Nothing really big enough to keep. I probably would have given this at least a 2 if not a 3 star but when I made an honest review on their Facebook page they banned me from commenting on their page at all. I personally feel like if you can’t handle someone’s opinion whether bad or good you probably shouldn’t own a business. I feel like you should see that bad comments and want to fix the issues people are addressing not just silence them. I didn’t just give bad feedback, I also gave positive just like I did here. I wanted badly to love this place, to be a repeat customer but the silencing alone is enough for me to stay away.

I absolutely love this place so very much! The butterfly garden is beautiful & I enjoy walking around the entire properties. The food is the most delicious in the whole Tri state area. The live music has always been terrific & everything about Blue Bank Resort is a lil piece of Heaven on earth. I love it!!

Pretty nice over all, wish everything was open later than 9pm. A lot of things could be better. This place offers huge potential if it was just run properly. The fishing is fishing but, over all of you don’t have $30,000 of sonar equipment to scan for beds you’re probably not gonna catch a whole lot.

We don't fish for the fish. Ninety percent of what I like about this sport -- and it is a sport -- is sitting in the boat doing nothing. And the icing on the cake is when God smiles on you and you hook one. And then when you're reeling it in, everything else falls away. You don't think about taxes or traffic or that pushy gal that's trying to get into the Citadel or who's going to take care of you when your mother and I are old and incapacitated. All there is is a man, a rod, a lake and a fish. And it all starts with a hand-dug American worm.--HANK HILL-- King of the HILL--Rooms: Clean, spacious.
