We were very nervous and concerned when we arrived for our first visit at this clinic. They patiently responded to all of our questions and made us feel comfortable. They Called us at home after each procedure was completed as well as the following morning to check on our puppies.. I am very pleased with the care and professional treatment we received. Hohenwald Animal Hospital will definitely be our go to for any future needs

My sweet lab Gus had never been here before. I called, and even though they were very busy, they worked him in. My poor guy had to be put down, but they were there for us every step of the way. Our sweet boy was cremated and returned to us a little over a week. I'll be taking my other fur babies there for now on. Thank you all for your kindness during that time.

While traveling through the area our cat became very ill. We knew it was her time and quickly looked for assistance. The vet down the road wasn't open on time and when I called they said they couldn't help. Rather flustered we rushed down the street hoping they would be there (it was a half hour before opening). When we got to the parking lot I called and they said come right in. Dr. Duncan was honest, compassionate and straight forward. As humans we have so many emotions and in these times of transition it was so comforting to find a doctor who advocates for the animal. We already knew our Little was very sick but hearing the confirmation isnt always easy. This very hard time was made so much easier by these kind people. If you're looking for a vet who will put the needs of your pet first, this is the place.I appreciate all they did to help our Little transition into her next life.Thank you !

They got us an immediate appointment when our regular vet could not. We had sick pups and needed attention asap. The staff were friendly and efficient. The veterinarian was very knowledgeable and provided several care options with cost. Great job.

I am extremely disappointed in the service at the clinic today. Had an appt for 4:45 for a new pet visit. After arriving at said time and waiting for tech to check out 3 other customers i was told that because we arrived at close to 5pm we would be charged after hour rates of $102.00 on top of regular office visit fee. Needless to say I chose not to be seen but the dr. I am seriously going to be looking for another vet service!

Wonderful place to bring your animals. Dr. Duncan and Dr. Dunn were wonderful. The staff and manager Chloe go out of their way and are very sweet to accommodate. Great job everyone! Horses and dogs, wonderful. Never have to wait very long. <3

Brought my Golden Retriever puppies in for a health check and vaccines this pas Thursday and was very impressed. The staff was very friendly and organized. Vet and staff were nice. Seem very competent. Did the normal annual check-up stuff in a reasonable amount of time with basically no wait. If you can avoid it don't go on Saturday - they're very busy with emergencies- thankfully I only went in to get paperwork on the quite extensive blood etc work they did - but people were waiting an hour+ Saturday morning - no wait on Tuesday. Price seemed reasonable.

I can't praise this place enough. My dog was very sick, seen quickly and treated immediately. Very professional and empathetic to our situation. While we were waiting the short time they seem to have a lot of people and fur babies that were familiar and felt at home. We will definitely be taking all our pets here for all visits for now on.

We have been going to Hohenwald Animal Hospital for 28 years. From Dr Scott to Dr Duncan they are fantastic. From taking care of our calves to all our dogs over the years especially my Samantha, Gracie, and now Stella Everyone on Dr. Scott’s staff are knowledgeable friendly and kind. DO NOT TAKE YOUR PETS HERE TO BE FIXED!! If I could give zero stars I would. The price to spay and neuter here is cheap. It is cheap because they do an atrocious job. The people that work at the desk are very rude, as well.We took rescue four cats here to be spayed (3) and neutered (1). Aside from the people there being extremely rude, the time following the surgeries, was very bad. I believe they used incorrect amounts of anesthesia, as the kittens were drowsy for a VERY long time more than I’ve ever seen in all the animals i’ve had fixed before (over a dozen). One kitten was struggling so much that throughout the night she continually stopped breathing, and we had to revive her multiple times throughout the entire night with no sleep. It was horrifying. We have rescued many many cats and got them all fixed at various ages and this has never happened.The second worst part: the way in which they sutured the spayed cats. The stitches were the most horrendous thing I’ve ever seen. Typically vets use dissolvable stitches that are tied right and close to the skin to not irritate and poke at them. The sutures on our three female cats were extremely loose, tied in a circle about the size of a small rubber hair tie, barely holding the skin together. Multiple knots in each suture that were all over the place, with long strands of the material they used sticking out nearly an inch from the skin and poking outward. The material they used was a thick, blue plastic looking string that looked more like some sort of wire than any kind of surgical suture I have ever seen. They did not tell us we would have to have any stitches removed, however NONE OF THESE STITCHES DISSOLVED. Surgery was on December 8th, we had to remove the stitches ourselves after Christmas because they didn’t dissolve and were starting to become infected. We had to remove all of these stitches on our own. No warning that they wouldn’t dissolve or that they would need to be removed.The worst thing is that there are more stitches INSIDE of the cats beyond where the incision healed. You can physically feel the stitches beneath the skin of their belly. We had hoped that the inside stitches would please be dissolvable, but they still have not. They are large bumps under the skin where you can feel the wire material. It is likely we may have to take them in to be removed at another vet which will cost hundreds of dollars to put them under and have surgery that shouldn’t have been necessary.In conclusion, do not be tempted by their low cost spay and neuter prices. The prices are hiding a horrible surgical practice, and I am genuinely concerned what kind of doctor would have left stitches like that. This was our first time coming here for a procedure and we will never be back. One of our kittens almost didn’t make it, and all of them may have to go back into surgery to remove the faulty stitches.

The great people here helped me save my very sweet Daisy Mae from Parvo. And also treated her momma Sugar and she survived. I had called 6 other vets that said "sorry it's Parvo but we can't help you". Everyone here was sweet and compassionate. And prices were more than reasonable. Love all of them.

Brought my sick puppy in and they were amazing! She had to stay inpatient for 2 days. They didn't mind my calls every couple hours. They we're wonderful! I brought my older puppy to double check she wasn't sick and they gave all her boosters too. It wasn't cheap but fabulous care! I'm really happy that I took a friend's recommendation and went to this vet! It was the right choice!!! My puppy has made a full recovery I definately trust them with my pet's lives!

My pup was suffering from FAD (flea allergy dermatitis) and was miserable, losing hair in great tufts and in pain. Dr. Duncan was excellent with him (and me). She thoroughly explained the course of treatment, answered the many questions I had (some of which were a bit off-topic of flea bites on dogs and more centered on behavioral changes) and put my mind at ease. The fees are affordable and the facility clean. I now have a much happier puppy and I couldn't be happier myself. To all the folks at Hohenwald Animal Hospital, Thank you!

Love this place! Wonderful staff who really care about your animals. Got two of our fur babies spay there and they were so great. Very attentive and made sure I understood after care instructions and even called to do a follow up the next day. Absolutely splendid experience all the way around.

Our kitty Sophie got very sick and wouldn't eat unless I forced it. The first visit we had was wonderful and everyone was nice. We had to bring her back for a second visit and they fixed her right up. Sophie is now eating on her own and has turned into a little piggy. Thank y'all so much!
