Love this place. Dr J is so good w all our pets, big and small. She regularly provides the wholistic, non drug, options first and follows up with the balance. All the staff have been great and facilities clean and spot on.

My German shepherd, Citana, absolutely loves the staff. The vet techs and the main vet are absolutely wonderful. They move at your dogs pace no matter how slow they need to go. I’ll never go to any other vet in the Chattanooga area! No one can top Hixson Pet Wellness!!

What an AMAZING veterinary clinic!!!!!!! 1000 ⭐️'s to them. EVERYONE was polite, kind, and caring. Dr. Jones got down on the floor to examine the 2 seven week old kittens I had brought in. I've never had a vet do that before. I've also never before seen the amount of care and concern in a veterinarian eyes. She handled them with the utmost care and listened to my husband and I when we gave answers and an explanation of why the kittens were in the condition they were in. The whole building was clean, and smelled nicely. It was quiet and peaceful the entire visit. They have now become my permanent veterinarian clinic. 10/10 HIGHLY RECOMMEND

The staff members were very friendly, and they did their best to make my super shy and skittish cat Honey feel comfortable. They were very patient and kind, and she’d welcomed both the vet and tech as friends by the end of the first visit, which is rare with her. Since then, we’ve been back a couple of times, and they’re doing their best to diagnose her and find ways to manage her health issues. They’ve been tremendously helpful so far, and I’ll definitely be taking the rest of my pets there in the future!

I had my rescue for about a month, and she was fearful and a bit reactive at her vet appointment here, despite taking anti-anxiety pills beforehand. I already was working with a dog trainer who specialized in anxiety & aggression. The vet told me there was no way for her to finish the exam with my dog because of her behavior, and then said that the likely reason my dog had anxiety was because I must have an anxious household?I never returned, and my new veterinarian has never been unable to complete an exam, and actually worked with us to figure out which anti-anxiety medications for vet visits would work best for my dog, instead of only prescribing “happy visits” and blaming me for my rescue dog’s anxiety.The vet techs were great, and if your dog doesn’t have reactivity issues, it’s probably a great place.

I was impressed with the thoroughness of the exam my senior dog received on our first visit. The techs were even able to clip her nails, which nobody has been able to do in years! We have four more dogs and will be taking them all to Hixson Pet Wellness Center for their veterinary needs.

I love Doc Denise and her staff, super sweet, not trying to over-drug your animals to put money in their pockets. Truly concerned about the animal's overall health. Willing to discuss things outside the box, offers online pharmacy option for reduced pet med costs, and when you have 5 large dogs, it's very helpful. Example: We were paying $120 at a former local vet for vitamins for our aging dog, we are able to buy them for $71 at Doc Denise's. Compassionate and caring, do yourself a favor and have your pets' annuals done with Denise.

Dr Jones and her entire staff have been excellent with our entire family's pets. We have two dogs, both of Rob's brothers have dogs, our parents have had different dogs and a cat over the past years. Dr Jones and the clinic are seriously the best place you could bring your pet. They use a no fear approach, so my dog is never anxious when we pull up to the building (unlike all other vets he’s been to before where he would shake to death the moment we pulled in!) You can tell the animals are a much bigger priority to her than making money, as her prices are extremely fair. I can’t say enough good things about this place and Dr. Jones!

They gave my nervous dog a lot of time to get used to the new environment and tried not to push my dog out of her comfort zone too much. The staff gave me a quote for a procedure that they mentioned without me asking for it which was nice. The center allows what I think they call 'happy visits' which is when you can bring your dog in for a quick visit to the lobby to help them get a positive association with the vet. It feels like the staff understands dogs well and how to make them more comfortable.

We have been patients at several vets around town and have been frustrated with the lack of personal care we seemed to be able to find. In December we found Hixson Pet Wellness Center, and it has been a godsend. Dr. Jones and her team have been so incredibly on point with all of my dog’s needs, diagnosing an issue quickly that had been missed for years and greatly improved her quality of life. They are attentive, kind and work to make sure I am as reassured as my pup is. They are quick to respond to questions I may have and have been the best vet we have ever worked with. I will be a patient of hers for a long time!

Just found this place!! Love them! My dog Ga had pad ear infections, both ears, got medine for that and heart worm med, plus rabies shot. They were so nice, even get in floor with her, since she was so scared and weighs 40 pounds .lol but seriously, they could have got her on the table. But they let me stay in the floor and they came to her. I would definitely be going back. Plus the cost did not break the bank!

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Jones and the Hixson Pet Wellness staff. We’ve been to numerous vets over the past years and Dr. Jones was the first vet to thoroughly examine my tripod, her range of motion, and think about future problems that may occur due to her amputation. Since then I’ve been taking all 4 of my animals here.I’ve never had to sit in a waiting room because a room has always been ready, cleaned and available. I appreciate that they will recommend over the counter remedies before prescribing something - that’s how you know it’s not about the money, it’s about the care of your animal and YOU not getting overcharged.When my tripod hurt her back this week we took her in and I was advised of every possible diagnosis it could be, how we could determine it, as well as cost for each test/procedure. I was not pressured into going straight into X-rays; instead Dr. Jones suggested a medication first and if the problem persists to get X-rays. Well the problem persisted REALLY BAD not even 5 minutes after we got home - my dog completely incapacitated herself to the point she could barely walk. I panic called the office and they were so good to me. They immediately set up a follow up appointment the next morning and said if it was really bad to go to the ER. Thankfully we didn’t have to and Dr. Jones and her staff took such good care of my baby and eased all my fears.I can’t recommend this place enough! Amazing service and great staff!

I take all of my animals to Dr. Jones, including my rescue kittens. Dr. Jones and her staff are wonderful with my animals and take the time to interact with the owners as much as with the pets. I love them and would recommend them highly. Dr. Jones does not do unnecessary testing or procedures and always lets you know the cost before a procedure is done. She is very knowledgeable and also does "fear free" approach so the animals are comfortable with her and her staff.

Everything was great. We got a return call soon after leaving a message to set up an appointment. The team was very friendly and attentive to me and my cat. They looked at my cat and gave me an estimate unlike other places I've been that ask for your card and give you an estimate based on what you tell them before even seeing your pet. They were very open to all of my questions and concerns and the staff genuinely cared about my pet. Would definitely recommend.

They are a bit pricey. I have three dogs, and they make you take them individually to separate appointments, which is a huge hassle.Also, they do not fill prescriptions there, which I was not a fan of. I prefer a one-stop shop.

I have been taking my dog here for a while now. Last week he had surgery to remove a tumor from his leg, as well as a dental cleaning. They were absolutely amazing! He’s my fur baby, so I was terrified. Everyone there was so supportive and caring and treated him like they would their own pets. I couldn’t imagine leaving my pup with anyone else. Best vet I’ve ever had!!
