The sites are small, but the campground is easily accessible being close to the highway. They were able to accommodate our huge motor home with trailer no problem. The sites are angled for easier entrance and exit, but due to our neighbor pulling too far forward, we had to back out in order to leave. No biggie. Overall, I would recommend staying here and will do so again if I'm in the area!

We can’t say enough good things about this park! Beautiful location, well kept campground, super clean restrooms and bath house. Beautiful wooded setting with wooded hiking/walking trails. There is a nice fenced doggie park for the pups to run in.Fran the office manager was super helpful and friendly, the laundry room is clean as well. All of the campers we have met here have been very friendly. All of the RVs here are in nice clean shape and everyone’s site is clean and tidy. You don’t see any children here running around which is a huge plus for us.Nighttime is very quiet and peaceful here. We loved it so much we booked a site again for next year we are SKP members.

The park is affordable with full hookups but that’s the extent. We tried it a couple times because we won an Escapees membership but our latest visit will be our last. The manager informed us that our camper didn’t “meet their standards” because the decals were fading and the white exterior was dull. She also told us our site was messy because we had a couple bicycles, a sports bag and 2 fishing poles outside. Apparently this park says you can only have a grill, camp chairs and a rug outside. Nothing more. Everything else must be kept inside. We’ve been RVing for years and fulltime for over a year and never had an issue.

We spent a month here and loved it. The hosts were very helpful and responsive, and the park was extremely chill and quiet. It's convenient to downtown Knox and surrounding areas, just minutes away. And there's some wonderful nature trails in the adjacent forest. If your an Escapees member, this is a really good campground. We'll definitely be back.

Middle of the winter with -7 temps forecasted for next week. Your not allowed to put any kind of underpinning around your camper to try and stay warm. Yes I would love to spend my entire paycheck on propane or freeze to death. They want you to turn your water off at night because your responsible for the spicket freezing but they have no regard for you turning into a popsicle. No thank you. Probably a beautiful area in the summer but 0/10 do not recommend in the winter

My story and experience with the Escapee’s Raccoon Valley RV park and associated problems began December 4th of 23. While staying in the park in October I made reservations for the month of December starting December 4th. I arrived at the park at 6:00 am the 5th and after driving all night, hooked up and went to sleep. At 9:00 the phone rang. It was Fran in the office. I thought they wanted me to check in but to my surprise Fran said I didn’t qualify to stay there. When I asked what she was talking about she replied “this is not a negotiation”. She said my 99 Dutch Star diesel pusher was to run down for the park. It did need to be washed which I planned to do there. She said my fiberglass shell was cracked. There are two cracks in the rear bumper shroud from a lawn chair and tree. This incident threw my Christmas plans into chaos and in trying to find a solution it took me a couple of days. Fran then had the sheriff send three cars and three deputies to make me leave. I have tried to talk to Escapee’s management in Texas but they aren’t willing to hear my side. In addition they have refused to refund the deposit I made for the reservation. If you don’t have any problem you are probably ok but don’t expect anyone in management to listen to you or help with a problem. Very unprofessional management!

My husband and I traveled to Tennessee for work, and stayed six months at Raccoon Valley Escapees, and the experience was great! The atmosphere is quiet , and peaceful, it’s always clean , and well kept The price per month is very reasonable .Fran is an awesome host! She always listens and try to make her guests feel as comfortable as possible. Thank you Fran , for everything.Grace Reyes

Park is clean and well maintained. Employees are extremely helpful and friendly. All sites are gravel and close to being level. Bathrooms are clean and kept stocked. Showers are on the small side and difficult to use properly if you are a medium or larger size adult. There is no handicapped bathroom stall or shower. Laundry room has 4 washers and dryers and is also clean. They offer a social hour in the evening but we didn't make it to the gathering. Sites are close together but there is enough room to open slides.

Went to a bike rally and went camping at Raccoon Valley. Very well-maintained campground. Campfires not allowed, but can have a propane fire. Not a lot of shade, but overall, for a place to stay for a few days, was good. Had a nice bathhouse, laundry, and dog park. Probably not kid-friendly due to not having any playground equipment, but they could ride bikes. All gravel lot

Pretty good overall office ladies are friendly and helpful. The park is quiet, the bathrooms are clean. It doesnt have a lot of extras but the price makes up for it. Laundry on site costs about $2.50 for wash and dry. The third party Internet provider is garbage but not their fault. Its a great place for workers who dont need much but a place to stay for awhile.

Great location and CLEAN RV park. The sites are maintained and relatively level, some pull-thru spots, some back in. This is not a huge park so they can book up, but I really appreciated the grass areas, fenced dog area, and covered sitting area guests can enjoy. There is no pool or spa (bummer), but it's also a super reasonable rate versus other resorts that easily charge twice as much.

The new management that came in in January of 2023 is awful. She (Teresa) is rude and has justice complex. I assure her unhinged personality is costing the bottom line as well. She kicked me out based on a small cardboard box containing a sewage line that I left next to my water to remind me to take it out and set it up and based on me charging my EV one night. I don't even know if that's legal, but I left because I didn't want to find out. There were no other violations. I had signed a long-term rental agreement for month by month and had been staying since January.

Showers, laundry, and grounds were clean and well maintained. Location great for visiting Knoxville area with easy access to I-75 as well as routes to Oak Ridge.I especially want to thank the managing couple. On our last day in Knoxville someone backed into the front of our Jeep Cherokee, bending one of the "ears" on the right-hand tow hook (I may take them out in the future when unhitching). When we got back to the park, I took it to the office and asked for help with it. The gentleman took me out to his shop, found a tapered tool that we could use to keep from bending it too far back, a small sledge hammer, and a vise. We managed to get it beat back into shape well enough to be able to hitch up the next morning for the return trip. Without his ideas and help we would have probably ended up driving the Jeep and our motorhome back home separately.

The RV park is kinda in a weird spot about 1 mile off the interstate. The sites are pull-thru and they are kinda narrow. The bathhouse was pretty nice for an older campground. It was clean and didn’t stink so that’s all we needed. 4 bathrooms and 3 showers. Water pressure great and hot water great even with all 3 showers going at the same time. The rates for the park was great, much better than all the others in the area that was double their rates. We would stay here again if back in town. 20 min drive to downtown Knoxville but only about 6 mins to any food you want. Great weekend stay for volleyball!! There is not anything for kids to do at the park of that is a necessity. They can ride bikes, but that’s about all. No playground and it’s all gravel so not skates or scooters or hoverboards. Good place over all though.

If there is a zero stars that would be too much credit for this place. The 2 woman in the office are horrible people. They are rude, stuck up and just mean. Treated me badly from hello. Kicked us out of the park after not being there 24 hours accusing us of stuff we did not do. We did nothing wrong and got told to leave. I would not send my dog to camp there. It's an RV park, not the Ritz!!!

I had the easiest time making the reservation, then they turned me away for not physically being the one to drive my RV into the lot. They did not allow me to ask questions and were incredibly rude from the time we pulled into the lot. I'm not sure what was going on, but it was one of the most uncomfortable positions I've been in. After reading reviews, I hope it was just a misunderstanding or something on their part.

The rudest, nastiest 2 people I have ever met in over 20 years of camping. Talking to the corporate office isn't any better. Skip this place. I certainly won't be back. I would give them a minus rating if possible!!!

Very nice place to stop over for one night, the people were very nice, the sight was a pull through with full hookup # 39 and level.I liked that you had to have a code to use the Bathhouse, the bathhouse was very clean and good water pressure in the shower. We would for sure stay here again. You could hear interstate 75 , but it wasn't terrible.PJV

The good, the bad, and the uglyGood:Hosts are friendlyIt’s cheapIt’s cleanIt’s quietHas full hookupsHas a small laundry facilityHas 2 bath housesClose to I-75Allows pets and has a “dog park”Bad:Everything is stone gravelSpots are close togetherThere’s no camp areasNo campfires allowedNot kid friendly (they allow kids, but there is nothing for them to do.)Ugly:The creek is a joke. It’s a small trickling drainage ditch.Don’t go outside barefoot. The stones are sharp! No trees/shadeNo privacyNo pavementBy far not the worst camping experience, but may not choose to camp there with children again.

This RV park is a good price, clean & quite. The club house is large with numerous games, movies & activities available. They also have a few activities on certain days every week. Like music is on Thursdays, you can bring & play your instrument, sing or just go & listen. They set up a spend systems with mics, amps, etc. Ice cream is on Sunday afternoons & they even have a social hour.Restrooms: Very cleanDog-friendliness: They have a small dog park & there are some REALLY nice trails that go through the woods & is gorgeous!!
