Perfect spot for our road trip lunch spot!! We sat on the patio overlooking the river which was beautiful and allowed some space for our 1 year old to let some energy out.The food was SO fresh, homemade, perfect taste. You must get the fried green tomatoes- they were the best I've ever had! Everyone was so nice and it was just a sweet little spot to stop.

Great spot to enjoy an outdoor meal or drink. The back deck overlooks the Pigeon River and is a very peaceful setting. The menu is limited to some sandwiches and burgers but all were good. I really enjoyed the LGBT club sandwich.Friendly staff. The manager walked over and asked how we're doing and struck up some conversation with us--a lost art that was much welcomed by us.Highly recommend checking this place out!

Randomly stopped after our white water rafting trip and was impressed! Loved the outdoor seating vibes. We sat overlooking the river, very peaceful and fun watching the other rafters. Loved the nice big drinks, sweet tea of course! Food was delish too! Got the LGBT sandwich and the goat cheese burger, YUM! Glad we stopped! Everyone was so nice in this little town!

It took almost 2 hours just to get lunch. The soda was watered down and warm. The sandwich should've been good but the toast was burnt, the food took so long I didn't want to complain and wait for another; fries were also cold. Took a while to get refills too. Our server never brought our check so we just went up and paid? I've been here like 4 or 5 other times and it's been great, today was not the vibe. I guess they do warn on the wall that there is lousey service and bad food.

We sat outside by the river and had a delightful time. Toni took good care of us, bringing beers & food in a timely manner.Two of us split the nachos which were exceptional. If you don’t like hot, get it without the jalapeños. There was plenty for two, but all of us could have eaten it and been full. Husband had the fries and pork even though Husband asked for a recommendation & Toni said the burgers were better than the pork. After eating the pork, which he said was okay, he said he will have the burger next time. We also heard a gentleman RAVE about the burger on the way out. Husband said the fries were exceptional!If you want good food, reasonably priced, and excellent, friendly service, you really should come here for lunch. Oh! And we definitely want to come for breakfast. We hear it is fantastic!

We were going to eat at the café, but it was very crowded lots of people waiting on their food so we just opt for the little bean sprout outdoor to go and got me a delicious blueberry white chocolate mocha cold brew and my husband got the homemade watermelon popsicles and it’s right beside the white water rafting adventure place so I got to see all the fun activities very happening place if you have time do the zip lines are white water rafting, but we are on our way to Maggie Valley

QUICK ?, do you guys know the lady who takes pics on the lower perhaps? I can't find anything. She was at the pirate race working as well.I'd like to buy pics from her possibly on my lower run with my dog...not upper. ??Thanks guys for an awesome burger! It was a special treat to a great meal that I didn't have to prepare/cook/clean for.You are appreciated and hopefully I will be back in a few weeks!Love from Piper too. She enjoyed the fries that I made the mistake of leaving out. Lol.

I was on my way to Nashville and needed some caffeine, was so happy to find a local non corporate sugar laden shop. Conveniently located right off I40, this is a coffee shop and restaurant. Definitely want to try the food next time. The coffee was amazing, they have a walk up bar where you can order your drinks and get on the road. Fun spot, great service and I will definitely be back!

We've passed by this place several times going to Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg from Lincolnton, NC. Had no idea it was this awesome. We were headed home and the kids needed to use the bathroom. We also needed fuel. Stopped to go to the BP across the street and the bathrooms there were out of service. We went next door and decided to go ahead and eat lunch. We sat next to the river outside because it was a perfect 75° day. The staff was super friendly. I had the jalapeno cheese burger. Delicious. Some got a BP/J with a fruit cup. Wife got a panini. Everyone was satisfied as we headed back out on the road!

Great service, decent food. The knuckle sandwich was on special, a burger between two grilled cheese sandwiches. I love a gimmick, and would order again. Chicken panini was so-so. The menu was slightly more diverse than the usual fare found in local restaurants. Outdoor seating next to the river was a true pleasure, made less so by the smokers. A hangout for the folks who work on the river (rafting, tubing, etc).

Randomly stopped here after a white water rafting trip, so happy we did! The outdoor seating area was SO cute with a nice big porch right on the river. We just got snacks (pimento cheese dip + chips and bacon ranch fries) and beer but the food was to die for. Even though they were getting ready to close up they were super accommodating and let us hang for a bit to finish our drinks. We'll definitely be back next time we are in the area!!

We were passing through and wanted to stop in TN....we found this to be a lovely spot to stop. There is a dining area in the back...next to the river...plus buckets of water for our pups to drink. Very lovely 😍. Our kids enjoyed sitting on the rocks near the river as well. Nice place!We also stopped at the Bean Sprout coffe next to the cafe....blueberry lemonade....cardamom honey lavender latte with oatmilk...delicious!Kid-friendliness: Very sweet to our furry and human ❤️ kiddos!

Terrific food and finally, a place that actually had Covid protocols in place to protect people!!! Outdoor seating, spaced apart, and even a sign that said "if your server is not wearing a mask, he/she is vaccinated" Observed some servers wearing masks, some without. Great service, food was super fresh and absolutely delicious. Try the nachos if you're vegetarian--they do not disappoint!!

This place is a must stop to eat. Be prepared to wait during peak times because it is popular. We stopped here on a Sunday, at the conclusion of an AT section hike.Vegan options!I had the black bean burger with fries. Best black bean burger I’ve ever had. Stopped here on an overnight trip to Asheville for breakfast. Had their Pimento Cheese Bowl which included breakfast potatoes, a fried egg, and topped with pimento cheese and green onion. It was delicious!

I had such a great time here. We found this place on accident! The food was delicious and the staff were so great. We were going on a motorcycle trip and needed help avoiding some traffic and they stopped everything they were doing to help us. The scenery in the back was so beautiful. I will go back here again!

What a gem of a restaurant that is beautifully located on the bank of the river. There is outside seating only during COVID19 on a lovely shaded patio. You can watch river rafters float by as you dine. We ordered the vegan friendly bean "burger" with restaurant fried tortilla chips and hummus, and pork bbq sandwich with fries. The chunky hummus was an ok healthy choice with beans and bell pepper chunks. The BBQ was delicious and smokey. The bean "burger" was more of a sandwich but filling. Mindy was our waitress and she was delightful. We enjoyed our stop here.

Super small town, adorable restaurant and coffee shop. Riverside dining, friendly staff. Great place for family, friends and dogs, too! (Coffee connoisseurs this won't be your favorite roast necessarily, but you'll still enjoy your visit.)

Stopped for lunch and was disappointed. Could've just been a bad day but they had an opportunity to make it up in service. My kids food was pretty good but it's not hard to make a turkey sandwich. Fries are really good. My burger was edible but not great. Also ordered the 18 dollar nachos which we didn't even eat after a few bites. The main issue though to me was service. All the soda was flat and they did say they were having an issue with the soda machine. Asked for water and didn't get water till the meal was pretty much over. Could hear arguing back in the kitchen. Like I said, pretty place... could've been an off day. But for the price of the food, I expected better.

They did great accommodating a party split between rushing to raft (food to go and ready fast) and two who wanted to eat relaxed on the deck.Everyone liked their food. The black bean burgers are delicious, as were the fried green tomatoes and the desserts.Great atmosphere, good food, beautiful location. They have an "LGBT club" on the menu and it's clear members of the LGBT club are welcome at this establishment (a big plus for me! Val was sosoosso sweet, as were the other staff members , who ran food out in a downpour - and let my girlfriend and I stay after hours to take shelter.

Super quaint little restaurant. It's in a small town so don't expect the service to be big city fast. Just sit outside by the river and enjoy the fact that life should be savored. The menu options are really varied. There are vegetarian options and a ton of coffee and tea choices (including organic). I'm really glad I decided to stop for lunch when I did.
