I usually do not write reviews but feel I should let others know about my experience with this vet. I brought both of my dogs to this vet for the first time to get their heartworm prevention shot. I told the vet tech when she walked into the room that one of my dogs is very anxious at the vet and sometimes does growl. Overall he has never bitten anyone or hurt anyone at the vet. They took my dog out of the room and to the back room which is very concerning for an anxious dog and not good practice in my opinion. I prefer to see the exams and help keep my dog calm. When they returned my dog they stated he was very difficult and aggressive with them and he was dripping blood and covered in urine. I have no doubt he was very anxious in the back being examined, all alone, and I feel the vet tech should have listed when I warned her of his anxiety. However my biggest concern is having no idea what occurred and having my dog returned to me bleeding and covered in urine smelling foul. I will not be returning.

First and foremost, I loathe taking my fur babies to any vet, as I get very anxious. When I metthe staff all my anxiousness melted away! I will tell you that this place is the place to go in Claiborne County! The staff was courteous and helpful. And answered all of my questions. I took my cat to get neutered and was notified in a timely manner. Overall, simply a great place to take your pet! George is a happy customer!

They were very kind when it came to the time to my cat to sleep. They tried a week prior to help her, but there was no more we could do. They were very understanding and let me make my own decision. They made sure I had all the information and options before my decision was final. All made me feel very comfortable

the most accommodating vet practice i’ve ever visited, i’ve had to call several times for small questions and they have always been more than willing to help in any way! you are in and out in a good amount of time!

This was our frist time using this vet, the staff were nice but very busy. I call to ask if they have experience with small pets like a bunny and they said "yes". However I would disagree. For one, you don't take a pray animal like a rabbit in the back where there is barking dogs and noisy cats it stresses the poor rabbit out and that can be dangerous for them. They should have done his exam and nail trim in the room with us. Then I was told he had an eye infection and asked if I wanted meds or just wait it out. she also never explained the infection she just told me what the name was. Our bunny has never had an infection before, so I didn't know if it was transferable to me or my kids. that would have been useful, seeing our 3lb bunny is free ranged in our house. So I had to go home and do research my self. I should not have to play vet at home looking up info about my rabbits infection after a paid $70 plus dollars for our visit. I don't think we will be returning to this vet for our little family member. I'm sure they are good with your typical animals like dogs and cats just not exotic animals like rabbits.

There is nothing wrong with the quality of care here, but it is frustrating that I do not see anything that happens during the appointment. A technician comes in, takes my dogs to the back, and then brings them back to the room. The doctor opened the door to tell me they looked good and that is all I saw of the doctor. They do not seem to care much about the relationship between the client and the doctor or the doctor and the patient. I would appreciate more communication and having the appointment done in the room.

Love this veterinary clinic, however the wait is a bit to long. Less appointments need to be scheduled for the day. This has happened more than once. I use the boarding, my large dog comes home HAPPY and well taken care of.

It can be extremely hard to trust anyone with your fur babies, but the ladies at Harrogate Hospital for animals made it possible. Very sweet staff, and techs. Knowledge and skilled surgeon as well.The best vet in Claiborne county and the only ones that we trust with our furry family.

Wonderful staff no wait time took us straight back when we arrived right at our appt time. Friendly staff talked and explained everything discussed our concerns didn't try to hurry out treated our cat quickly but nicely. The price was amazingly affordable 50 dollars for a well care checkup and all her shots. I would recommend HHA to anyone they were great.

Love it here. They treated my olivia with great care and have and are still working on finding out what is wrong with her. Referred here by one of my vets offices Russell Vet also in harrogate due to needing an ultrasound that her normal vet didnt have the capability in doing.

Brought a stray in to check for a microchip and they helped me promptly! They also fit me in their schedule that morning because I was concerned about her skin issues and wanted to make her comfortable while she stayed with me. Everyone was very kind and helpful. I took my cat to this office for a wellness exam and vaccines. As a first time client I was expecting the staff to introduce themselves and that I would meet the doctor and discuss my cat with her (which would be normal.) We were put into a room upon arrival and then a woman walked in the room. She did not introduce herself and had not reviewed the appointment notes to see why we were there. After telling her I wanted a wellness exam and vaccines she took my cat to the back without any explanation. Five minutes later she returned with my cat and said they would see me in 3 weeks for the boosters. I had to ask for the doctor to come in or else I would never have seen the vet. I still would have been charged for a wellness exam even without talking directly to the doctor or seeing any actual medical care performed regardless if it was done in the back. I am extremely disappointed in the lack of professionalism displayed and impersonal care.

Our sweet girl had surgery today. A huge thank you to Harrogate Hospital for Animals for taking such great care of her. They all are amazing and love our furbabies like their own. I can't say enough good things about the doctors and staff. I know when we have anything done for our vet needs I don't have to worry. From regular check-ups, emergencies to boarding and everything between they are 100% who we count on and have never been disappointed.

Harrogate animal hospital is amazing with my animals. I have a dachshund female and two male ferrets. They recently removed a mast cell tumor off of my ferret and did an amazing job on him and I got to pick him up the same day and the bill wasn’t as much as I would have thought. They did great with him and he is healing well and almost fully back to himself. Thank you guys for the amazing work you do with Millie, Fred, and Edd.

Friendly staff. Took one of our chickens since she is a family favorite. Great service it was a little expensive, $70 for antibiotics and pain medicine.. I’m sure it’s probably average, just expensive for a chicken. Really just wanted to make sure it wasn’t an issue that was going to spread to our entire flock.

I've been taking my critters to Harrogate Hospital for Animals for over a decade, and they are the best! They offer excellent care for traditional pets and livestock, and provide wonderful (hands on if necessary) instruction for you to help you provide the best at-home care possible for your pets. I recommend them to everyone who asks!
