I have been a regular costumer at this location for my whole life. Unfortunately, over the last few years it has gotten progressively worse. They don’t ever seem to honor any of the sales advertised in the store when prices ring up incorrectly. Even after I’ve gone to show them the sign and they say “oh yeah I don’t know why it’s ringing up like that”. The last straw for me was my most recent experience. They restocked a used helium tank which I had the pleasure of buying. When I got home with it, I noticed the person before me had stolen all the balloons and ribbon out of it, and the tank was empty. I immediately tried to return it but because the seal was broken, they refused. They treated me like I was a criminal that had done something heinous. Obviously some dishonest person bought the tank, used it/took the contents out, made it look sealed, and returned it for the money. But because an employee put it back on the shelf without inspecting it - I’m out the $35 dollars! $35 is a big chunk of money to be spent on a completely useless item. Kids, if you’re reading this, Dollar General wants you to know that if you are a thief than you are better off than being honest! Thank goodness this helium tank was supposed to be used on balloons for my 30 year old husband and not some innocent precious little child that had to go without balloons because of DOLLAR GENERAL OG HARROGATE LOCATION!

Had a lousy experience at 2 locations today until I got to this one (I browse seasonal clearance items) very courteous helpful staff, unlike the one by cowboys and the one next to get it n go. The younger generation could learn a thing or 2 from them at this location.

You know I used to love the dollar general store until last night Sunday night soon as I walk in one of the workers stopped me and said your not allowed in here and any more in front of probably 10 people I've never been so embarrassed in all my life two hours before I went there my little sister had passed away I was already in pieces and then got done like that I won't ever go back that was so embarrassing for me and my girlfriend

The employees r always nice & helpful, but every store I've been in is a mess! U put to much emphasis on employees stocking shelf's and also trying to run the register! Some stores r a nightmare 😱 with stuff just thrown around in the store from customers. It's getting terrible to shop with having to navigate through the iasles that r stacked with products.From what it looks like to me u just want more stores built but u don't care how the inside looks.

Really glad they was still open.. but i tried thanking the cashier and she just kept complaining about having to stay open til 11:00. Said it gave them less time to clean up after closing..

Nice store, clean. Had many items and lil sales. But the cashier was a lil snatching when handing money to pay for the items. Then just drops the change hard in your hands. ( blonde hair and glasses, youngish, maybe age 24??) But the stores nice.

Great place! I actually go to this Dollar General whenever it's late usually because the closer one closes an hour earlier than this one! But great folks in there nice professional and friendly.

The dollar store in Harrogate has kinda went downhill a little bit since Cindy left. The workers aren't as helpful and some have just down right rude at times. The clothes are always a mess adults sized clothes are mixed up with the children sizes and its always over-flowing and never organized. makes it hard to look through. Everything else could use some organizing but its good.

Never have enough employees and the ones they do have suck and are lazy as can be... Save yourself a trip there and go to the newer, nicer, and bigger DG in Ewing, VA, it's literally 5-8 minutes from the Harrogate, TN location and you'll thank me!

What was once a clean and organized store is now a cluttered mess. And most times if I go the prices are to high or the items I need are just not there. It's sad ,this was once upon a time a good convenient shoping experience.😕

Stopped in here a few times while I was in Harrogate and Tazewell. Had anything I needed and the staff was friendly and knowledgeable, able to point me in the direction of anything I needed. Nowhere else to go in town, but this place does the job.

Pot holes on lot, bad! Water always standing on one side of building. When busy, usually only one register open. Not enough sales in soda.employees are nice and pleasant, just dont have enough working when the days rushes are happening. Seen a pack of Jàck Links beef jerky completely molded. Worst possible location to have a Dollar General. The Speedwell is so nice, plenty of parking and a huge store. The Harrogate store has a horrible layout of the registers. Just way too small and the parking lot is always filthy. Handicap parking is not even visible. Needs all new painting out there. I understand the company needs to keep costs down, but i just cant believe Dollar Corp doesnt maintain on of its busier stores.
