Milk, check. Salad mix, check. Ground beef, check. Patio umbrella, check. Metal peacock yard art, check. Definitely not your usual grocery list, but this Food City is not your average grocery store. It has the most extensive floral department I've seen outside of a traditional florist shop, and they even do custom orders. They also have a nice selection of patio umbrellas and yard art. And while relaxing under the patio umbrella, you can enjoy one of their craft beers or specialty wines. Their beer and wine area is as impressive as the floral department. While those areas are highlights, the meat section has good quality cuts and the produce is very good quality. The store is very well kept and organized. The staff is mostly high school students who have been trained or selected for their friendly nature.

Since i care for & live with my disabled uncle I can't stock our fridge to well, bc he will try to eat it all in 1 day. So I am definitely in here almost every day. The staff here are mostly younger, but they do a great job & very respectful. I actually enjoy shopping here

Always friendly and great deals on groceries. Best food city in the Chattanooga TN Area..talk about a super store..This location has everything. Restrooms could use a little more attention..but the deli department is awesome..they even have a old fashioned Butcher Department...

Not as many great deals as the collegedale location but still very friendly and helpful staff. Also nicely organized and clean. Plus a great beer selection before you head out to the lake!!

Okay, I live very close to this food City and I've never really had an issue until tonight. Their hours are 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. during the weekdays I'll get there at 10:00 p.m. and they're telling me they're closed for maintenance, which I understand. That's fine. He proceeds to tell me that the maintenance is they're starting to strip the floors. If they're starting to strip the floors at 10:00 p.m. what another hour? They could still start at 10:00 p.m. and just do the bathrooms first or parts where customers won't be walking around. So tonight I'm going home without my groceries because they decided to close an hour earlier for something that could have been avoided. I wish I could just close my business down an hour early whenever I wanted..

I went in to purchase some Mountain Dew. I had no issue finding the Mountain Dew. Due to the price being skewed towards plastic instead of cans it will make things interesting for some people in my life.

Quite literally the friendliest grocery store I’ve ever been to. The staff is incredible. The store is clean. I’ve never experienced a grocery store where they engage so much with the customers. I truly wish we had somewhere like this where I’m from. Thankful to have experienced this location!

Good grocery store, with all the selection you expect in a location far outside the city. Food City is a welcome resident of Hamilton County, with fair prices, good sales (and fuel rewards), and friendly staff. Plenty of parking and handy access to gas station (build those shopper points).

This location is my favorite for the Ooltewah area the store is laid out well the butcher is amazing. The store is super clean the patrons are seemingly more friendly and the associates seem to care about their jobs more. The butcher will come out and talk to you about what you like for meat cuts suggest certain cuts that he just did or even tell you what he can cut for you fresh he has been amazing. The meat and produce have always been very fresh and delicious.

We go to Food City frequently. Lately, it has been more for stopping in to pick up a few things, instead of a full grocery run. Prior to the store changing over to a Food City, we went there more often. One of the reasons was that they would have weekly coupons for family meals and I think it saved us some money and also we were able to try different food items that we might not have tried without the coupons. Anyway, the store on Highway 58, the one further up Highway 58 towards Birchwood, is a good store - clean, wide aisles, good selection of items. If you are lucky, you will go there right after they have put out their fresh-baked french bread. Usually, it is in the front in a cart. The bread is in brown paper bags and some of the fresh oil stains the bag, in a good way. My sons call it "greasy bread" and it really is good.

FC employees are usually extremely friendly and helpful. Not my experience at this FC.I have been berated and laughed at for not having enough money on my card, by someone at the customer service desk.I've never been greeted when entering this store, or offered help carrying my items to my car.I only continue to use this store because it is open at 7am, while my preferred grocery store is still closed.

This food city has to have the WORST customer service I have ever experienced at a grocery store! Waited and waited while cashier called for help multiple times no one came I took it upon myself to go ask for someone to come help as I had been waiting. The HEAD cashier as her badge said was super rude and informed me there is only one of us but in a very mean rude way! This is the second time I have been talked to super ugly when going in there ! This store has no concern for customer service ! Very sad!

This Food City caters more to my needs and wants. I am a vegetarian who tries to eat organically. They don't have a huge selection of organic food but it is better than my choices at other Food Cities. This store seems to be cleaner than other Food Cities as well

Great store except the produce needs improvement, veggies are in horrible shape.. I do not buy fruit or veggies there anymore..they have this older lady cashier and her attitude is awful, I asked her something and she didn't even answer and today she was at self-check and I told her have a nice day she would not even say anything back, wow.. there was, a young girl next to her she was super nice. I usually never say anything about rude people but she is on a whole other level. I shop there a lot and everyone is super nice except this one.
