Tried this place one Sunday afternoon for breakfast only to learn they don't serve it all day it's over at 11 am so you know....but was pleasantly surprised with their buffet and the senoir special that starts at 2 pm all you can eat for $10.75 with a drink, the offerings were quite nice actually the salad bar was great as were the hot items and soups...the fried chicken was good with the mashed potatoes and gravy with some green beansalone was a great value ....I had never been to Shoneys since moving to Tennessee but I was impressed the food was good and the service was great the price was right and we will certainly visit again.

I had the most remarkable experience at Shoney's 1809 Roane St. Harriman Tn. this past Sunday morning, and it's all thanks to an incredible waitress, Brittany Rich . Her compassion and quick thinking truly made a difference for me. I could have easily ended up in the hospital!I only just arrived with my wife when I suddenly experienced a hypoglycemia event. The worst one I have ever had! It was a busy morning, and the restaurant was bustling with activity. Brittany noticed my distress and immediately began to ask us what see could do. She not only showed genuine concern but also demonstrated remarkable kindness throughout the entire ordeal.Without hesitation, she rushed to my aid and brought me a glass of juice to help stabilize my blood sugar. It didn't stop there, though. Brittany continued to check on me regularly, ensuring I had everything I needed. She never made me feel like a burden, even though I'm sure she had many other tables to attend to.Her compassion and unwavering support went above and beyond my expectations. In a moment of vulnerability, Brittney was my beacon of hope, and her actions made all the difference. She exemplifies what exceptional customer service should be, and I can't thank her enough for her care and quick response during a challenging time.

We went there today.(Sunday)First time in 2 months because the last time we were there the chicken livers were soggy and the mash potatoes were runny. So we thought we would give it another chance. Well unfortunately no improvement! Now breakfast stays on the bar until 3pm!!! We wanted lunch food. So for $13.99 I ate mashed potatoes, green beans and mac and cheese. The only meats were fish and some mystery meat in gravy. People were complaining because they didn’t want breakfast either! And the senior discount doesn’t start until 2pm?? Why? Needless to say we will not be back. You just lost 2 regular customers. We use to eat there every Sunday but no more!

Not impressed.So there is no way to respond to the response on Google. I am responding by editing.We were there just after dinner(lunch) came out on the bar. My BIL is special needs and loves Shoney's. The lettuce that just came out was already wilted so I skipped a salad. The breakfast items were crusted from drying out, so skipped eggs and gravy. Finally focused in on some fish, mashed potatoes and cheese and beans. The beans were, I suspect, poured straight from a can. The fish was crispy on the outside but still opaque and raw in the inside. So, pretty much, I paid for a full bar to eat a potato. Our drinks were never refilled, the floor was dirty and I never got my dang Splenda.Wheelchair accessibility: Should be simple to get in and around even in a larger wheelchair

Waitress was very nice and helpful. Checked on us every so offend about drinks or if we need anything. Breakfast bar was great. Everything tasted really good.Parking: Parking is easy. Big parking lot.Kid-friendliness: Has a lollipop for kids when you leave. Has highchair if your kid needs one. Has crayons and coloring paper to help keep kids occupied while there waiting for there food.

I always get either the breakfast bar or lunch and dinner bar. The breakfast food sometimes sits out too long and gets pretty dried out and the bacon is always bits and pieces and the biscuits are pretty dry. With that said the lunch bar tends to be a little better. I just think if they kept a better eye on the items and switched them out before they dry out people would be better served.

Went in at 8:00 AM and was seated immediately with silverware only and told by waitress she would be right back. Restaurant was mostly empty. Never came back to our table. Another family was seated right next to us at least 10 mins after we arrived by another waitress and they had menus, drinks and order placed within minutes. We were completely ignored and nothing said to us until we finally got up to leave. This is the second bad experience at this restaurant. Will not be back.

The food was amazing (I absolutely sampled A LOT) (to add to it, they have a buffet, along with a slightly limited menu to choose from, which would seem to suit everyone's needs). The service was average for my one-time experience here, though they had a lot of staff available, so that may vary. It wasn't overly busy on Sunday at around 3. I'd definitely go back for the food alone.

We got there right at lunch time and it wasn't very crowded. The food quality and service was okay it could have been better. We had the full bar for about $22 plus tips 4 two people. Not really that much considering that I have paid more in other places for a lot less service and quality of food. I really love the surrounding area of this restaurant. It's really beautiful and peaceful. However the floors inside the restaurant could have been a little bit tidier. Having said that, I will probably come back to this restaurant to have a nice and pleasant time with family and friends.

Good value for the money. Food is tasty and the breakfast buffet has a wide variety. Don't come to Shoney's and judge it on the same scale as Mortons or any other high end establishment- that's not what you get. However, for a sit-down meal with good food and a reasonable price, it's hard to beat this disappearing icon of our youth.Let me add that our server, Sierra was great. I was part of a large group and Sierra was attentive and went out of her way to be sure everyone had what they needed. I hope the management there appreciates her!Thanks.
