I ran to Dollar General , time was 9:50 and the doors were locked. The website said closes soon. Why they closed the doors 10 mins beforehand , that's what got my goat....all I needed was 1 thing so I had to go to Food City . I know this is sounding petty but why ?Rant over

Nastiness !! Take better care of your public restrooms .. Stinks really bad no water to wash hand and the air vents are caked up with about 2 years worth of dust

It's a clean store but there freezers have not work in a while but the cashier said that they just got fixed so I happy but I love this place.

My daughter just went into this store and asked an associate for help to find something and was rudely told she couldn’t understand what she was saying and refused to help her! I do not appreciate this one bit! This is horrible customer service!!

Great store with such a great variety. Service as usual stinks. Late for work due to waiting in checkout line with 10 other people and 1 register open. I was in line 20 minutes. Usual waiting time in a check out line is 5 minutes at the most. Come on dollar market. Do something. I have complained about this 3 times. And I go back thinking things will be better. But checking out is a night mare. The store is clean. And clear aisles. Great selection. But just get more then 1 line going. Please

Love this place when we happen to travel through Harriman. Its so clean, organized and decluttered, unlike many others I usually encounter. Of course, theres much more room to work with here than the smaller ones. Jacob was our cashier, and his customer service and friendliness was great, which is so important to me. Its always a great stop when Im in the area. I refuse to buy Christmas or Thanksgiving before Halloween, but Im glad to see some of their Halloween come in. They had very little compared to Christmas, but unfortunately, thats usually the case at any retail establishment this time of year.

It's usually pretty good as far as having what your looking for however I drove 20 minutes to get there to get a few things for a friend who don't drive. They had all on list of four things except the big plastic tub of chocolate ice cream. Had several other flavors but no chocolate they asked for. Went to pay for other items and then had to wait in line as only one register was open, no surprise, two people finally came out of the office laughing and talking then deciding whether check one of them would open another register while my line is growing longer each passing minute. The waiting in line happens 99% of the team for me any time I go. The cashier's are nice and friendly it's just a don't get in a hurry environment. Thats my number one gripe with that store, the speed of getting people rang up and out the door.

Usually a good shopping experience. Great for drinks and chips but bigger items are the same price as larger retail places. Also good for last minute thing and ingredients. Only bad part is they usually only have one lane open.

Went to this store last year and this year to stock up on groceries for a visit to Harriman. I like how Dollar General is making dual grocery/general type store in some areas, and this one had everything we needed. Plenty of stuff, but not too much. The expiration dates on the refrigerated items were well into the future, well stocked shelves, friendly staff and a nice store for this part of the state. Glad they are here.

Line is backed up about 7 people, 2 other workers are just walking around and no other lanes are being opened for check out. Been waiting about 20 mins for my bf to come out and all he is getting is Tylenol. The checkout time is far too long! If you are in any type of rush I would not recommend this store!

Great for picking up items on the go..Until check out..The wait is horrible...Spend longer in line then actually shopping..On one​ occasion was lucky enough to be there when 2 registers was open...(so I thought)...The cashier moved slower than molasses and treated all of us checking out like it was a burden that she had to tolerate.. Not at all friendly..The other cashier needed a key from her....for her register..our cashier just walked off from us in the middle of checking one of us out..Not a excuse me.. I'll be right back... NOTHING....Let me tell you she didn't move There and Back any faster than pouring molasses..Just saying...maybe Corporate should rethink how they train employees our maybe have some incentive for their employees.. Otherwise like the convience of the store..

Local store employees are great. Corporate level management is sorely wanting. Often do not have sale items, digital coupons are a joke. Should be reported to the state consumer protection folks.

It's a good little store but one disappointing thing is they have to many workers walking around and never have more than 1 register open you'll have wait times up to 15 or 20 minutes while other workers will be talking to the one with their line open when they could open their own register and help! I remember a few years back when there was different management they always had a minimum of 3 lines its sad to see a change like that

Was pretty quick service wase. Store was clean. Older lady was reading the ingredients on a bottle of landry soup right where i needed to get some unstoppables for 10 mins and would not move . But over all can help that.

I love this store for picking up a few things between big grocery days. They have produce that I need and basically everything else I need also. It is not so big that I feel like I have walked a marathon when I come out!

I will never shop at Dollar General ever again. There is always something that doesn't ring up correctly especially at this location. I was cheated out of $11 worth of digital coupons that weren't taken off. They locked myself and other customers out of the building before the store was scheduled to close and were rude when I let myself in as another customer exited. I went to customer service with my concerns but never received a response back other than allow more time for them to review my info. I deleted my account and haven't been to any DG since!

It's not a terrible place, really. The prices are fine and there's a large selection, but this place has terrible management, so you'll be waiting 45-60 minutes just for the single cashier to check out the seven people in front of you in line. This is especially bad at night.

The store replaced the old manager a few years ago and now the store is much cleaner and if you have any issues the manager will make it right she's great

This store needs better management they had a lady there and it was only her third day and left her on cash register and the poor girl was over whelmed this is not right by anymeans and at the time she was the only one open so the line was almost back to the back and she kept telling at Brenda to help and she would come over laugh and help and then leave this store really sucks

Store is always clean, most of the workers are friendly. They don't always have enough lines open. So you normally end up staying in line 15-20 minutes.

When going here prepare to spend 20-30 mins. This is not the place to run in quick and grab a loaf of bread. The lines are always long with usually only on cashier who is never in a rush to get people checked out.

Great safe service! Social distancing followed. Masks on everyone. Plexiglass separates customers from workers. Hand sanitizer available. My grandson and I loved our cuts! Fast, friendly service.

I love this Dollar General store, and the ppl who work there are very friendly is like your family when you go... the only thing ppl might not like is the way somethings are laying around, but it seems like everyone at the same time want to check out.. keep up the awesome work...

Wow this store lol they are really out to make a dollar. They have had stuff on clearance tables outside for the last 3 and a half months. It's all soaking wet the boxes for most of it have fallen apart and they are really still trying to sale it, clear up till a week or so ago it was only 25% off now that have it at a big whooping 40% off and it's all trash. There's one tote that is completely full of nothing but water and dirt gross, but every tote has water and falling apart boxes. These people are pitiful and absolutely ridiculous and money hungry every other DG I go to would have already tossed it out come on now!!!

Great prices and decent selection. Normally a line but sometimes the deals are worth it. Not always the friendliest staff. Overall, I'm a fairly happy customer.
