My wife grew up down the road from this place. It's an old grocery and hardware store that looks like it's such in time. Lots of old items as a store displays in the hardware part. Some old Hussmann cooler cases in the grocery store part. Only one looked to be working. I'm guessing early 1960s vintage. I thought they were cool because I used to be a Hussmann factory service tech. For anyone interested, Ingersoll Rand bought Hussmann in 2000 and sold it to Panasonic in 2016. I worked for them in 2008-09. Good company, but too much road time. IR sold or spun off several companies they once owned. Bobcat and Trane were spun off. Everything else but air compressors and air tools were sold off.Anyways, enjoy the photos I took. 🙂

They have a little bit of everything and then some. Been shopping there since I was a kid. I am NOT a kid any more. LOL Love the hardware section. Like stepping back in time. They have stuff you can't find in town. The people are amazing. Hours are not as good as you might like. I miss the original owner. RIP.🙏

I love this store! Has pretty much everything you need, good prices, wonderful workers and owner. Perfect location and local store. I love the jerky, browsing the hardware side, their survival/camping food and canning supplies.

Shopped there since child so i am definitely a loyal customer. It has changed over the years to survive the changing times but the friendly service and knowledge of produce has always been over the top great.

Friendly service. I love that it still has the small town feel in a fast paced world. They have a lot if items that I wasn't expecting to be at the store. Found just what we needed and more.

I love this place. It is the ultimate down home grocery this side of the mountain in my opinion. They have a little bit of everything, including homemade candy at certain times of the year. And harvested nuts. Just about anything you can imagine! And my hometown! What makes it even better!

Been there forever. They have anything that you could want and then some. They have good prices. The people is nice and helpful. They have the best meats that I have ever bought. You can buy a gallon of milk a loaf of bread a bale of hay plumbing fittings and an antique sign under the same roof.

Johnathon is extremely knowledgeable and very helpful. The little lady that runs the cash register is always helpful also. If you are in the area this is a must place to visit.

This is the type of place this nearly 60 year old woman grew up with. While it doesn't have it all it has a little bit of most. The service is always friendly and polite and I dearly love it. To all you youngsters imagine Walmart in miniature but with caring and knowledgeable employees that Don't hide. And sorry but not sure it has a website 😊.

Great store for just about everything. Very friendly staff will help you with whatever you need. Caters to AT hikers. Cheap soft drinks in soda machines outside. Half groceries, half hardware store. Closed Sundays.

One of last old time hardware/ grocery stores around. I bought a London broil here yesterday that was at its sell date amazingly cheap and it's just fine to fix for dinner. I love this place. They have everything known to mankind here. 😀

It great to grab little things you don't want to go into town for. All hardwear paint, pipes, nuts,bolts, and grocery. A little bit of everything. And staff is great very helpful. Love this little place. Idk what I would do without them here in Hampton. Has saved me trips to town countless times.

They have a little bit of everything this store has been around since forever it was around before I was born and still going strong today they have almost everything and if they don't have they have the knowledge and recommendations on where to go or what to do very friendly and helpful

Bought some meats - NY strip steaks- and was very pleased with the quality. Not so much with choices for vegetables with most out of season and quite a few beyond their sell by date. If you are camping or back packing they have the basics.

I am 68 years old. Brown's has been there for all especially the ones that visit walking the Appalachian trail. They have fair prices and are a staple to the community. They have survived the big box company invasion and give good information to all that visit. Most people that visit know this.

If it is made they have it awesome service been dealing with them for years I once plumped a trailor for less than $100.00 compared to lowes at $200.00 you do the math it's an old time hardware store and if you want fresh sausage that's the place to go

A must stop in Hampton. Large selection of hard to find hardware and home items. Friendly staff. Good stop for that snack or cold drink before hitting the trails.

The prices have really went up since the younger man started managing it.. If he finds out you use something regularly, he will double the sale price. I had to leave and go to Lowes.

I've been going to Brown's for years. They are good to ya and stock pert near anything you need, from a nail to a pork chop. Best little store around.

Prices are going up use to be cheapest place for great prices but the young man wants more out of it so customers have to give him more to shop there. Won't be back much food City is cheaper now.

Browns is all stops in 1 if they dont have it you dont need it and the owner sutton brown is very helpful kind an sweet and jonathon store manager is helpful funny and very polite you wont have a bad experience if you stop in say hello prices are also reasonable yall come back now ya hear
