I recently had to go to this location with a friend to take a stray can that was pregnant and had a pretty bad sore. Upon arrival, an employee came out to my van to check her for a microchip and didn't hold her in the cage, so of course she got out. We then had to block her and catch her under a car. After all of this, we still had to take her to the animal control building instead. I'm sure the poor cat was so traumatized! It was pretty awful!

They were so determined to help save our new dog. She was at Animal Control and the volunteers and staff helped us safe our ole gal. They worked with us on getting her, our schedule to pick her up, and the care she's needed. Wonderful souls! We're so happy to have Pumpkin as a new family member and know she's safe and happy.

They do wonderful work and really care for the animals! Go rescue one and donate what ever you can to keep their efforts going well into the future. I adopted this angel called Clementine a few days ago.

Affordable adoption. Adopted a 15 week old kitten, that was current on shots, spayed, & microchiped for $75. Very loveable kitten, in very good health. Well taken care of. Pepper has already made herself at home.

I tried to adopt an Australian Shepard named El Dorado. They said it was refused because my land lord said no Inside dogs. Isn’t this a herd dog that stays outside with the animals. I’ve owned over 100 dogs and they where all outside living up north were the winters are colder. They must be getting really good donations to be this picky. 👍

I had a wonderful day choosing my next best friend. Everyone was so helpful. A gentleman took his time and made 2 rounds with me to look at adoptable dogs.I love my new pet. He's awesome. Thanks GGC Humane society. Keep up the good work.

They're all adorable, even if you can't adopt, you can still spend time with the animals. (Though the dogs are a bit wild, and their room doesn't smell the best lol, but they're dogs it's not their fault), the cat room is so calming and you can just go in there and enjoy it, there's adorable cats just walking around, sleeping in random places, it's the most adorable thing, even if you don't like cats, you'll love the cat room.

Extremely friendly! I have been volunteering for almost 2 years here. I adore everyone that works here. The staff truly care for the animals. Everyone is always helpful to people either looking to adopt or just visiting. Kennels are cleaned constantly, the entire building is deep cleaned at least once a week. I'm always happy to come to this Humane Society.

They have several dogs available for adoption if you are looking for a pet. But if you are looking for a watch dog this is not that kind of facility. They want you to treat the dog like you would your own child.You must have a fence around the property that is high enough to contain your pet.You must be able to take them inside at night, and keep them inside during inclement weather.Most of the dogs there now are quite hyper and will need extensive training.You must meet these requirements to adopt one of their animals. Adoption fees are $100 for adults and $125 for puppies.

My partner and I had been looking for a dog for a couple weeks and our local shelter had been sketchy with communication at best. From our first phone call, I knew this place was going to finally work out for us. The staff are very knowledgeable about the animals they have and they all want what's best for the animals. We had the opportunity to adopt our precious little Toby from here the same day we saw him with no hoops to jump through. I will definitely recommend this shelter to anyone that wants to adopt an animal from a place that really cares about them.

We've been going to the Humane Society on and off for a year now to get our "animal fix" until we were ready to find a pet of our own. The people that work there are great people and try to find the best match for the animal and the future owners. They understood that we weren't quite ready for a pet and allowed us to help (volunteer) with the dogs to get them socialized, etc.

We lost our cat 1 week ago. We visited them today and was greeted by Chelsea. They do only allow 1 family at a time in the cat room due to Covid and social distancing. We waited outside and played with the cats in the outdoor caged area, until it was our turn. Once inside we found several cats that we fell in love with. Chelsea was super helpful and helped us find 1 of the cats that we were interested in. She also answered every question we had. Super clean facility and the cats all looked so clean. We didn't make the decision on the spot, but will definitely be back! Thank you Chelsea for helping us! :-)
