Great location if you are visiting Granville, TN. The shower stalls in the bath house were a little to open for our liking. The sites are somewhat tight. They are currently renovating (as of May 2023) not all sites have been updated. Sharron (the camp host?), was great and was helpful. There is Hunt Brothers Pizza on site, if you're looking for a quick meal.

My family is full time RV, and we honestly couldn’t be happier with this place. It’s mostly long term work campers who are never around or a weekend couple in the area to enjoy the historic Granville area. All the sites are well kept and they don’t appear to be long term/seasonal stays at all. They serve tasty Hunts Brothers pizza W-S, the staff are more than friendly and helpful and the people who stay here, even though they are long term, they are quiet, friendly and good company. They have showers and laundry on site. There is space for extra parking for guests. We changed to a larger rig a couple of months into our stay and the owner offered to allow us to put our belongings inside their building for the day to help accommodate our move. They’ve had a social gathering since we’ve been here and everyone I’ve met is a compassionate, hardworking person. The internet is also the BEST I’ve had at ANY campground I’ve been at long term over the last 2 years. You’ll enjoy the peace and quiet, my kids swim in the river almost daily and we enjoy fires, pizza, hot showers and all that the area has to offer. Nashville and the surrounding areas is FULL and it’s hard to come by an RV park, let alone a good one and we honestly feel blessed and that we got lucky getting a spot out here in Granville. I have my family coming out this fall! NOBODY will bother you here! It’s a little jaunt to get out here but you won’t be disappointed. Everyone here are great people

New owners have done incredible things with this campground. It is all new!! It's peaceful and beautifully shaded. Nice gravel sites with full hookups. Joel, the camp host is super friendly and helpful. We can't wait to go back and stay longer.

We absolutely loved this small and casual campground and ended up extending our stay! The new owner, Mr. V is very helpful and always available, takes great care of the camp and his residents, and offers helpful advice on what to do in the area. There's easy access to the river and lake where you can kayak and fish. Granville is a tiny town with a lots of history and its Main Street is two blocks away. The entire area is beautiful and peaceful. I highly recommend this lovely place.

Cutest little place. Quiet and right on the lake. Has a laundry. They are also redoing one side of the park to update electrical, water, and sewer. 50 Amp available.

Stayed two nights here as we were headed to Cummins State Falls. Wonderful stay. Mr. V was more than welcoming to us, even inviting us to Free Hot Dog night. Great community. Clean facilities and a minute walk to the river. There's also a pool that opens up around June time frame, but we were there in April. If you stay and have a few moments, talk it up with Mr. V, he shared with us many stories. He is a well traveled man! Hope to visit again.

Quiet park, lake within walking distance.. The owner is an older nice man.. He stays on the property.. Large pool is open during, the summer months. Club House/ Laundry, Bath House is decent, clean.. The down side is the cell service is slim to none..

This "RV Campground" looks like someone's backyard. There are cables lying on the ground everywhere and campers are piled on top of each other like a sardine contest. The pool was not open. From the overgrown foliage and algae in the pool, it appears that it is never open. It very obviously has not been open all season. We rented this campground site unseen based off some of these google reviews - you must pay in advance via check. Once we got there and saw the place, we immediately asked for our money back via email since the office was closed at 3 pm in the afternoon. I was told no, he would be keeping our money. We went down the street and came across a Marina & Cafe that had a campground. Very nice, very clean, very friendly people.Skip Made in the Shade- you'll thank us later.

This is NOT a traditional RV park. It's a trailer park for long term rentals. As of the date of this posting not a single trailer there is a traditional camper. Most are long-term workers in the area looking for a cheap place to live. There are some very shady characters living in Made in the Shade...

We reserved a spot in Feb for the Great American Eclipse in Aug. That process was perfect, Mr. V was quick to answer our emails and kept our reservation. He only took a deposit after I asked about giving one. It is a small campground with only 32 spots. It was clean and well maintained. The pool had just opened back up after a brief shutdown do to an algae issue. I observed him working on treating it the 1st night. We enjoyed a bonfire on the evening we arrived and met some of our fellow campers. Yes, some campers are extended stay folks that are working on contract to (re)open a local zinc mine. They were great folks, and good neighbors. The wifi was good enough for me to catch GoT on Sunday night without an issue. I would return (12 hour drive from home). Mr V. lives on site and was always available whether or not the office was occupied. As this is getting too long, basically, (for the 1 star folks), it's camping not the Ritz. Get over yourself. Oh, and Granville was the definition of quaint. They tape/broadcast a Bluegrass radio show on saturday nights too!

Made in the Shade is a very quiet and peaceful RV park. Most sites are surrounded by trees hince their name. I stayed for 11 days. The quaint and small downtown is only two blocks away where you'll find an antique general store built in the 1800's. They have live bluegrass music on Saturday night and sell goods as well as different types of made to order sandwiches and other things. There's a classic car museum among other historical sites and downtown Nashville is only an hour's drive away. Great little gem here. The downside is that they have no WiFi period.

The people were friendly and the river behind the campground is nice. The place definitely needs some TLC. It's more of a trailer park and if people didn't leave their household items outside the curb appeal would be nice. The pool isnt open this season, but I will not hold that against them because of coronavirus. They have a basketball net, but it's on a grassy lot. They have tetherball but the ball is deflated. Just a bit of clean up, like removing a beat up couch from a lawn would go a long way. At his point, it's more like a residential trailer park and not much like a vacation spot.

Very disappointed with this place. I wanted to book a site for 5 days. He asked how many people would come, and I told him 2 adults and 4 children. He responded with "oh, I'm sorry. I don't have anything for children to do." and HUNG UP on me....We Homeschool our children, and were really looking forward to exploring the natural and historical opportunities that this site has to offer. If I could give a less than one star review, I would.

We were here for 15 months. Good people. And some great shaded spots. They enforce the rules when needed but are implemented logically. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely return.

This is a great place to either R and R or go fishing chasing stripes. The owner ,Mr V, is extremely helpfull and is working very hard to upgrade what was a rundown area. Free WiFi but no phone service which was refreshing. Very nice pool and a stroll to the rivers edge where you can fish from shore. He also has rental trailers if you dont have your own. Its a great place and we deffently will be back.

This was our second time here. I came all the way from Memphis to stay here. The owner is great. He helps in every way he can. It's quite and clean very well maintained. The cost is very reasonable as well.

It's a great place to relax and be comfortable. A great place to get away to for peace and quite. Good down to earth country people to talk to and take walks with. It's an all out great place to be and stay or live if want to.

They focus on long term campers more than the weekend ones even though I paid weeks in advance for a spot. Didn't even have me in the books and I paid In Full weeks ahead . We will be finding another place that keeps a paid spot open for you.
