The staff at Goodlettsville Animal Hospital are absolutely amazing. From the receptionists to the techs & the vet, we had a great experience. They eased our worries and got us in within a couple days for my senior baby’s limp. Dr. Porter was very compassionate, informative & went above and beyond for our baby to be comfortable. After getting turned away at another vet a few days prior, they treated him immediately & assured us that he did not need x-rays unlike what the other facility said. They provided us with a care plan and truly lifted a weight off of our shoulders. I literally could cry because I’m so relieved that he will be okay. Not only were they affordable, but they truly want the best for your animal! Overall, this is the BEST experience we have ever had at a vet & we will definitely be back!

They take the time to explain what my 11.5 yr old German Shepard is going thru. This is the 3rd dog of mine they have cared for till they go to heaven . The staff Dr Porter and Dr Gross are caring .

This animal Hospital is amazing! The veterinarians are caring & compassionate & knowledgeable. Their prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend Goodlettsville Animal Hospital. I wish they had 24 hour emergency care there. They are open until 8:00 p.m. most evenings and on Saturdays -- that is helpful. We have never had a problem getting an appointment quickly when needed.

They got us in first thing and helped take care of our cat after a skunk attack. However, I told the vet i didn't want a rabies vaccine since he almost died from his in 2022 and also i told them that Metacam made him sick. We picked him up and they sent metacam home and we learned they gave him the vaccine anyways and also injected him with metacam. thankfully he was okay, and nothing serious happened but I am very upset that they did not listen. I also asked if they could check his microchip and they did not. :-( I'm glad Rico is doing better but we will not be back.

They're great. Location and prices are what drew me to this place, their kindness is what made me stay. They were so gentle and patient with our pup. We ended up getting a teeth cleaning recently and they made sure to call us and check on Coco the next day. Another fun detail that I really appreciated: I recommended them to my uncle and he wrote me down as a reference, a few days later I received a cash coupon that I could use for any service. I had no idea they did this but was so pleasantly surprised. Glad to have found our permanent vet.Aug 2023 Edit:We've used their pet boarding services around 2 times now and my positive view of them remains the same. Both times my dog seemed to have had a pleasant stay (and he got a bath after the 3rd day). I feel Coco is safe everytime I drop him off here.

Took my 2 month old German Shepherd pup for his first check up and shots and the staff were the best of any animal hospital I’ve ever been. From the receptionist out front to the vet that saw him, you could tell they loved animals and their job. I felt confident and my baby boy wasn’t scared at all. It was an amazing first visit.

I can’t praise Dr Pelletier and the whole staff enough for their willingness to take us in and show us so much compassion for an unforeseen circumstance with our beloved kitty. We will definitely be establishing regular care there for our other pets. ♥️

Fabulous as always! I luv luv luv this veterinarian clinic. I have been going for a number of years and my opinion has only gotten better. The doctors are knowledgeable, easy to talk with and compassionate. Their staff is always in good moods. Try them, you’ll see!!

I am not a customer, but while we were traveling my dog needed a different antibiotic. My Vet called this office and they were willing to fill the meds for me! As far as I know they didn't charge me any fees, just price of pills! Everyone I spoke to and dealt with were super friendly. I was so grateful for their help!

These fine folks were willing to see my little buddy on a Friday before the Memorial day weekend. He was extremely ill and if the had not been willing to see him, he wouldn't have made it through the weekend. My FORMER vet said they couldn't see him for a week. These folks are my new vet. They literally saved my dogs life! He's doing great thanks to their great care!

This is a wonderful clinic and boarding facility. Not only is it clean and efficient, the staff is warm and caring. We have always been treated with the utmost respect, and Shugg has always been very well tended. We've boarded her multiple times and she loved it. The care she received for medical treatments was always gentle and kind. When she was finally diagnosed with kidney failure, the vet discussed all options with us and treated us as if we were family. Their sensitivity and caring will always be deeply appreciated by us. We can recommend this clinic with the highest praise.

Another wonderful experience with G.A.H.- I brought one of my other cats here for a checkup and it was stress-free, convenient and affordable.Office staff is absolutely wonderful, one of the vet techs asked about the health of one of my other cats who'd had problems in the past... very sweet!Both the vets I've worked with have been awesome, professional, personable and caring.The office and exam rooms are spotless...I think I would be comfortable having surgery here, lol.I will trust the care of all 3 of my cats to this office :)

We took our dog here because the last vet brought her so much anxiety that she’d pee on the floor and growl at the vets. It was important to us that we could into to the exam room with her. The vet and staff were so kind and fear-free so they worked with our pup. She was still nervous but it was miles better than what we’d seen in the past. They had plenty of treats for her and were super quick so that she didn’t have to be anxious for long. They explained everything to us in terms we could understand and it was just a completely opposite experience than what we’ve had in the past. They even cut her nails, which we can’t even do at home. So appreciative of this vet and glad that we made the switch!!!

The veterinarians here are absolutely amazing with our kiddos and make them so calm, almost happy to be at the vet! The options they present for treatment options, based on your budget and financial ability, are so very helpful. I would recommend DR Porter to anyone. She is so knowledgeable and very open to options regarding all of our pets health treatments. Highly recommend.

I have a 13 year old German Shepherd that has hip and nerve issues and terrible anxiety. Dr. Porter came in and set in the floor with us. She was very gentle and kind and patient and very knowledgeable and the staff was so nice, especially the guy who helped me get my Shepherd to the exam room and then helped me get her in the car and took the time talk to me and ask me questions about how she was. Even though I didn’t have a lot of good news to hear about her condition, the kindness of the staff and Dr. Porter was more than anyone could have asked for and is very much appreciated ❤️

I would have given them five Stars. But I felt slightly insulted or maybe really just looked down on for wanting my cat whole the way GoD made her. But I was telling her the story of how I got her without them fixing her. They made me sign paperwork that I would not have her front claws removed that they considered that cruelty. My response was that my family considers it cruel to fix them before they have a chance to even be a mother. And know that was not the end of the argument but it was my number one punch LOL that help me get my point across. But we did get her Whole... But other than that everything was great she took great care of my cat she did a really great job take care of my cat pet her kept her calm I was really impressed with how she handled my cat so I guess I could get over the personal feelings I had and we all should really because her professional attitude and her profession was handled well

Our border collie has a lot of anxiety with unfamiliar places and people. Dr. Pelletier and vet tech Kimberly were very good with him and very patient. The staff are very responsive on the phones and it is easy to get medication refills for preventative meds. Their hours are very accommodating. We are very pleased with our care at GAH!

I had the best vet experience I have ever had with Dr Porter and Goodlettsville Animal Hospital. Dr Porter took the time to see that My pup was scared and got down on her level gave her treats and made her feel safe so she could get her vaccines. All the girls here are wonderful and treat your pet like their own. I am so happy I found Dr Porter and this wonderful place !

I can’t say enough good things! I called with my cat sick and they got me in as a drop off! The Dr was very good at explaining what was going on and made sure i knew exactly how to make my cat feel better! Definitely recommending this place to everyone!

They are so great with my puppy. A friend of mine takes her dog there so when we got our puppy it was the first place I thought about. I have since recommended them to other people. The staff is friendly and they are always on time. There's no long wait to be seen. The office is always clean. I wish there were more stars to give them than just 5.
