While visiting friends in Portland, TN, I found out via Google that the Dollar General on Main St in Goodletsville had 11 bags of All Peach Jolly Ranchers. Went to candy aisle, no jolly Ranchers. thank Jesus for the nice, Black lady working there (Sunday, Nov 26th around 11:00am). She made it her business to help me find them, and did! When they are not overwhelmed they're totally awesome. All I have to do now is learn the fruits and vegetable deliveries and the cigarette deliveries other than that mostly on top of love the frozen food section.

The location of this dollar general was in a rougher/ higher crime rate area if you know what I mean .but I must say despite that management does a great job abt being organized, cleaned, and a variety of product to choose from.

Store very disorganized. Can’t find anything because it is all in boxes. Aisle’s are very cluttered. Employees really don’t seem to care if the stock is put up or not. Was in the store on 11-22-2022 and 2 employees was arguing over who was going to carry out the trash. Self service register is always out of order. Carrying my business to the store at rivergate. Out of the way but at least the store is clean. Goodlettsville store needs some GOOD! management. The store has good potential but needs a good cleaning and better employees and management.

You cannot see what they have to offer because it's all in boxes. One employee was telling the cashier she doesn't have to apologize to customers because she's new, why she in front alone instead of being with her. Long lines & rudeness is what they're offering!

Self checkout has been down for over 6 weeks. Stood in line behind an employee checking out for 8 minutes waiting on his manager to come discount his drink. Then had to wait on dude to come around the counter and clock himself out. We shop here weekly for lunch stuff for our shop, and these employees are about as slow and high as they can be every time.. I'll just drive the extra mike to Kroger's from here out.

I love the new self checkout! Makes it fast and easy for me to check out if there’s a line. Also love that there’s always someone at the checkout register, other DGs associates at other locations, are usually nowhere to be found! Also, love that you don’t need a key to use their bathrooms, but HATE how nasty they can be sometimes! Poop on the toilet and floor, hair in the sink, trash overflowing, no paper towels or hand soap sometimes. But at least they always have toilet paper 😂

I went to Dollar General to get some starting fluid for my yard tractor. They were sold out but I did not consider it a negative because, I think, every employee wanted to help me find it. It is a very nice store with very nice employees.

The worst DG I have ever been to!! I normally give great ratings for local stores until today. Entered this store to hear a female cashier yelling at a customer so loud I thought they were 2 men fighting until I turned around to see! I got some stuff and made my way to the loud cashier. She seen my coupons in my hand and started yelling at me that I couldn't use my coupons! She hasn't looked at them at all. I will be calling corporate office Monday morning. I've been in several management positions and would have sent her home immediately! There was one young lady who was helpful and kind. Needless to say, my purchases (money) this week went to family Dollar.

I really like this door because it's convenient and seems like there's one on every corner but you got to be careful some of the things you purchase one of their competitors actually had some of the cleaning supplies that they're selling for over a dollar and sometimes over 3 over 50% cheaper at the other place but other things are dirt cheap so I really like it it's convenient

Dollar General store is it quick and easy inexpensive place to get small items that you forgot about travel items everything is awesome when you got to do a one-stop-shop aspirin juice kids to cat food dog food it's awesomeCigarettes cold drinks food Frozen Department ice cream candy chips it's a small little Krogers with the quickness

We have been shopping this location for many years- it is our preferred Dollar General Store. But whomever is stocking the Health Aids Department is having a problem. Last week there was no DG aspirin, today no peroxide. Items that I have come to expect over the years always being there for me are completely out of stock. Depends on which dollar store location you shop at. The best one is on Dickerson Rd.close to G'ville. Two of the worse is on Whites Creek Pk and Clarksville Hwy. Not stocked and is usually filthy. Don't know about other locations.
