Bear had a great first visit this morning for a bath and nail clipping at the Germantown Petable Expressions! The staff was very friendly and the whole process was easy - we will definitely return.Picture below is Bear sunning himself after his great experience :)

Best grooming salon I have ever used. I have always had terriers (two Schnauzers, & one each Wire Fox Terrier and Welsh Terrier) and know that not many groomers are successful in capturing the spirit & personality of the Schnauzer. This salon has exceeded my expectations every grooming visit. Check in/out is quick and easy and I appreciate the appointment text reminder so date is on my calendar. Staff is friendly and efficient. Rate this salon a “5 Star” and highly recommend for grooming your fur baby.

Do NOT take your dog to this place. The owner did this to my dog.She even cut her ear and didnt have the decency to tell us about it.The most jagged unprofessional cut i have ever seen, all for $80.00Not even deserving of one star.

This was our first visit here and I cannot put into words our gratitude. Seamless experience from start to finish. Organized check in/out procedure. Prompt replies to requests for appointments. Friendly, knowledgeable, excellent communication skills at the front desk. And the groomer??? Oh my lands what she had to do to get my baby looking like this is nothing short of a miracle - or just a VERY high level of skill. A little of both ;)I walked into the shop in shame - head down- as I presented my matted up shih-tzu. Looking unloved, but he is our world! I was (and still) so ashamed as any proper shih-tzu mother should be at his condition. I just said, “do what you can. I am in no position to have any grooming request - just please make him comfortable again.” With no judgment, no looks of disgust, she responds gently and says “we can fix him right up”. I felt completely at ease at once.They are all good communicators, patient with my lack of time management that day. I could not be happier. Chico baby couldn’t be happier. He can see now! And he still has some fluff on his tail! Maybe he has extensions ;) I don’t know how she got that done! I also don’t understand how the room smells BETTER when he’s in it!We plan to be customers for life if they’ll have us. If they can make him look this way after the condition I brought him in, I can only imagine how they can make them look once on a regular groom schedule (like a good shih-tzu mother)

This was my first time using them and I could not possibly be happier. They did a wonderful job with my Australian Shepherd, who is just more than a year old. The groomer, Amanda, was warm and my boy took to her right away. She explained what they were going to do and asked me about my preferences and boy did they deliver. The pricing is competitive and the service is superlative. Even the owner, who happened to be there that day, was welcoming and helpful. Will absolutely be going back.

We had our first visit to Petable Expressions yesterday and it could not have gone any better! It was so easy to make an appointment (and fast) and their text notifications let me know as soon as my pups were ready. They look precious and exactly like the pictures I showed them! We are so glad we found Petable Expressions, we’ll be back soon!

I am so glad that I found Petable Expressions. The staff is so friendly and easy to talk to. Neka is an excellent groomer and sincerely loves my toy poodle. She trims her exactly like I want and is so friendly and professional. The shop is easy to get to and the prices are reasonable.

I’ll explain my 2 stars, because I felt the actual grooming was fine. McCoy smells and looks good. However, when I came to pick him up, there was a lady talking loudly/yelling on her phone outside the store. I thought she was a bystander or client or just someone passing by, but as I got out of car, she was gone, until I realized she was inside the store, yelling. I was a little apprehensive to open the door, but I did, and I saw her behind the counter with Whitney, the receptionist. In her same loud/yelling voice, she said, “she’s here for McCoy Brown, and you would have known that if you had come to work this morning!!” I learned that she is the manager/groomer, and I told Whitney privately that no one should ever talk to her like that (the yelling). It was so inappropriate, and though I like the location and the service itself, I will not be going back to support her. I felt bad knowing that animals (McCoy and other dogs) were inside while she was yelling. McCoy gets scared over a flea, so he must have been upset. Anyway, I’m sorry for Whitney. She may have messed up by missing work (or X, Y, Z) but how the manager handled it in front of a customer AND just in general, is downright sad and not right. Whitney kept apologizing on her manager’s behalf, and i told her to please not apologize. I’m glad I saw it so that Whitney was not alone and I could encourage her some, and so that I could make the choice to not bring McCoy back there again. We just relocated to Memphis and are looking to find our “forever” places. This will not be one of them. Thanks for listening.

Called to make a last minute appointment because the website booted me to the wait list. I thought they would not be able to squeeze my Iris in within the allotted timeframe? But the staff was EXCEPTIONAL! This was her first time and she LOVED IT! The atmosphere of the place was so luxurious and smelled wonderful! Prices were also very reasonable. I will definitely be back. Amanda did an amazing job! My baby came out smelling, and looking beautiful! Thanks guys!

**UPDATE ** I love these folks!!! Bruce loves them and they love him too!! We have finally found our forever groomers!! We have a monthly standing appointment! 5 down and many months to go!! Thanks Amanda and the crew!!This was my first time bringing my Bruce. He is quite feisty & hard to groom at first. He allowed them to give him a bath but not a cut. Even though they had to call me to pick him up unfinished, they were sweet, kind, and professional. I enjoyed the staff. Bruce came out like he had been "the most innocent" 😳 but he was clean & fluffy! I will continue to go here as long as they allow my feisty Maltipoo, Bruce to visit them 😊 😀. Thanks guys!

I love this grooming service ! My dog is always excited to come into their business. Zeus smells amazing and his nails are clipped and files to perfection! He is a Boston terrier so he is prone to redness around his face . But with their oatmeal bath it’s definitely reduced!!

Three visits ago I was a first time customer. Each time the bath and grooming has been excellent. Petable Expressions EARNED my repeat business with friendly customer service and great results. My 55lb Lemon Border Collie has never looked better.

I came here because I just moved to the area and had seen such great reviews. I was disappointed to say the least! I never like to leave bad reviews like this, but I am so furious! I was rushing so I did not take a good look before leaving. When we got home, I noticed a red spot on my baby’s nose. They must’ve scraped him when cutting around his eyes. Accidents happen, but you could’ve said something?! He can’t speak for himself!! I knew something was wrong, because he is used to being excited after the groomers, he just lay in the seat when I picked him up. I’m nervous enough leaving him with strangers, this is traumatizing. The lady at the counter was not friendly. Never said a hi or bye, never asked if I was satisfied with the groom. The customer in front of me was so nice and the lady at the counter seemed so uninterested in what she had to say about her dog, that was a sign I should’ve left from start. I have never had this kind of terrible service at any groomers. Charged almost double what I’m used to paying at that! It was $10 more than what was quoted over the phone, but I don’t argue with people over $10. $72 for a little 10lb dog! I’m not cheap, but for the service I received, I don’t think it was worth it! I’ll just drive 30 mins the opposite direction to where I feel more comfortable leaving my baby with. Sad because I really wanted this to be his permanent grooming spot being so close to home.

Tuppence loves this place! JD and the expertise of the staff give her a memorable full spa experience. She is in good mood when we pick her up because she receives exceptional TLC. JD has a good inventory of stylist clothes. She likes it when his is dressed by JD. From pretty pink nails and stylist top knot. She is one beautiful Maltese when we pick her up. Said our dog was ready to be picked up. We get there and pay for the service $50. Then they tell me they couldn’t groom him because he was too hard to groom and aggressive. They mentioned we might want to sedate him next time. They ended up giving him a bath instead. We had him groomed at 5 other locations and yes we heard one other time about possible sedation but never were they unable to groom him. Seems well organized digitally but they should have communicated by phone that they were unable to groom him.

Let me start off by saying that Mr. JD and his family are just too sweet! This is a family owned business that deserves more praise. Since moving from Kansas City my husband and I have used different pet groomers throughout the years and none have been as kind and courteous as Mr. JD and Ms. Amanda! We brought in our little cavalier spaniel today and she was well taken care. They took about 5 years off of her, she was strutting her stuff! We will definitely be bringing in our other dog (he’s recovering from a small procedure), but this experience left us so happy and satisfied, I couldn’t have asked for a better start to our Saturday. If your looking for a pet grooming place where your furry friend won’t be treated like just a number, take them in to Petable Expressions, they will take care of your four legged baby like family. I took my Yorkie, Tucker, here to be groomed yesterday. Tucker has a thick, cottony coat, which can be hard to maintain, especially since he can't stay off our pool cover which has about 2" of water on it right now. (Note that he is NEVER left unsupervised when he is in the backyard where the pool is located). Long story to say, evidently his tummy fur was matted from this, which I knew he had tangles, but didn't perceive mats. I went over with Amanda what I wanted for his cut and let her know that we were having photos made on Sunday which is why I was pretty specific. When I picked him up, he was shaved down to the skin. I called Amanda to let her know that I wasn't happy and she told me in loud, no uncertain terms, repeatedly, how she can't stand pet parents who only care about their dog's looks, to the point that they will have them hurt and tortured to get that look. She said Tucker was crying and biting when they tried to brush him. Fair enough. When I said that had they called me and told me what was going on, I would have just. picked him up, paid for his bath and brought him back on Monday to be shaved. She claimed that they had tried to call me and I didn't answer, which briefly took the wind out of my sails a bit. However, when I checked my call log from yesterday, I had one call from Pettables at 4:14 which I did answer and it was to come and pick him up. I would have been fine after being yelled at to just hear a half hearted "sorry you are upset", but all I got from Amanda was the strong inference that I was willing to let my dog be tortured and bite people just so he would be cute for a photo, which is insult to injury! I gave them 2 stars anyway, because prior to this, I had had good experiences with them. I do respect and appreciate that they don't want to hurt an animal., as well My complaint is not being contacted before they shaved him, being lied to about this, being yelled at by the owner and being accused of being a shallow, cruel pet owner, which is absolutely not true.

They were so wonderful with my baby boy! Amanda took great care of my maltipoo and made sure I was happy with his haircut before finalizing everything, we are so happy we were able to find Petable!!!!
