Stopped in on a whim during my vacay, and found the BEST SOAPS EVER. I know a lot of places sell handcrafted soaps nowadays, but these ones are definitely THE BEST out there. Shop owners are so kind! Will be continuing to order more of their products online!

Went into the shop last week and it was very cozy. Easy to get around the shop and lots of selections. Got home and started using our soaps and went online and ordered more. Fantastic quality! Will buy again soon. The owner was very pleasant to talk to.

I would give this shop zero stars if I could. I went into this shop and was browsing when I picked up a bottle of lotion I popped the top open and the man sitting on a stool says to me "go ahead" so I put a dab in my palm and then he said " that isn't for your personal use" So hateful. I about died. I quickly put it back and ran out of that store. Never in my life been treated like that. The next day I went into 2 other soap stores and made good sized purchases... I've never been talked to like that in a shop.

Not only do all of the candles smell amazing but the owner was so nice and really helpful. He even showed us how you can use the wax as lotion because it’s 100% soy. AND they are extremely affordable; especially for the quality.

I’ve been coming 1x a year for at least 7-8 years now. I had a bad reaction to the jacuzzi in my cabin stay about 8 years ago, but had come across this little shop and bought a few bars of soap earlier that day. Lo and behold, the soap stopped the itching and soothed my super red skin. Ever since then, I go back every year to stock up! We’ve tried the candles also and love them, but the soap is what has me stopping in every time we vacation in the area.

My husband and I went to Gatlinburg on our honeymoon last year, and visited the Smokey Mountain Dreams candle store.. owner was very nice telling us all about the soy candles. We bought two - the Cinnamon Orange and the Hazelnut scents. They smelled heavenly, lasted forever and didn’t make me sick or have a headache (probably because they are organic). I just ordered two to have them shipped to Arkansas. I was happy to find out about their online shipping. we will be repeat customers.

This place you can smell the candles just walking by. You walk in and you can see all these hand made candles and products. We purchased two candles and HOLY MOLY they were amazing. But the best part of this place is the owner, he is a free spirit, fun and caring and you can tell he takes pride in his craft as he should. Next time we visit, we will stick up on candles not only for ourselves but for all of our loved ones because it’s worth it

Ken was welcoming and informative. As others have stated he's an expert on the products he sells. Why is that? He created most of the things you seen in the store. Not many shop owners can say that nowadays. Definitely one of my favorite small businesses I've discovered this year.

Probably the best candles I've ever bought. Even years later, I still remember how good their candles smelt and how they lasted forever. You can tell they're just a million times better than the ones made by big corporate. I also bought candles and soap bars from their website for a friend and she loved them so much.

I'm burning the Fresh Cut Apple soy candle right now. It's burning cleanly and although it's burning in the bedroom I can smell it on the other end of the house. Not,overpowering but just a very nice pure Apple scent.The owner was very into his product and seemed very knowledgeable, I think he probably is an old hippy that found his niche doing something artsy and organic, totally recommend Smokey Mountain Dreams Candles. The gentleman running the store today was so nice, funny, and a great salesman! He was very knowledgeable about the products and was happy to give suggestions and demonstrations without being pushy. We bought candles and fragrance oils, and were so impressed that we came back for more. This man deserves a raise! We will be back and are happy that we can also order online. Just would like to see the fragrance oils available to purchase on the website; there is a section for them, but no items listed.

This place is fantastic! I came down to Gatlinburg from Michigan during Jeep weekend a few weeks ago, and stumbled upon Smoky Mountain Dreams. I purchased their organic homemade soap, and it's done wonders to my skin! I had very gross bumpy skin, and their products made me skin smooth and nice again! I'll never use any others soap for my skin now. Just ordered 12 bars of soap, and I can't wait to try each one. Thank you for making a great product!

I'm from Indianapolis, IN. I spent Valentine's weekend in Waynesville, NC but we stopped through Gatlinburg on the way and did some shopping. I'm SO SO happy I found this place! Ken was the nicest, most informative salesman I've ever met, and managed to do it all without being the least bit pushy! Their candles smell AMAZING and burn evenly for a long time. I asked Ken about soap for my daughters - one who has acne and one who has eczema. His recommendations were on point. I'm a huge fan of the Black Soap. I bought 5 bars of soap and 2 candles for under $50. I don't regret a cent of my purchase. I highly recommend stopping in - as for me, until I get back that way I will absolutely be a return customer ordering online!!!

It has been a few months since we visited Gatlinburg and this AWESOME little shop - the candles, soaps, and overall experience were by far the best of all our tourist-y shopping trips while there. The owner was so friendly and was happy to give me a lesson on the process of making the amazing candles and soaps. In the store everything smelled wonderful, but it was not until I got home and actually used these wonderful products that I realized how truly amazing his creations are! They are SO fragrant and long lasting. I stocked up on cherry almond, my favorite scent. I'm getting ready to place an order from their website and try some other scents. LOVE!!!

The attendant behind the counter explained soy candles to us to a great extent, and showed us how they could be used as lotion as well! Will definitely be returning next time I'm in town.

Ken was very helpful and super nice! He was very knowledgeable about the candles and demonstrated how they could be used as an oil for your hands. I was unsure about the place to begin with, but Ken was super awesome making me want to stop back in to say hello to him and buy more of the candles he has made! Would definitely recommend buying candles from here! They smell amazing and are reasonably priced! They are hand poured also!

This shop, the owner and every product in it we’re amazing. Me and my family visited two weeks ago and he was was very kind to us and our two children, answered all the questions we had and was very friendly about doing so, not to mention the products are amazing! My daughter and I got 8 bath bombs 2 soy candles and 2 soy tarts none of which have disappointed. We will definitely be repurchasing and having these products shipped all the way to Illinois. The gentleman that helped me out, I assume was Michael, was so polite and offered me so much information. I didn’t even have to ask, he just started to tell me and it was really cool! Telling me about burn times and even burning and giving me tips about buying soy candles in the future. I only bought candles, juicy peach and hazelnut cappuccino, they’re both heavenly. I can’t wait to get home so I can burn them. I’m sure Ill return to this store if I visit Gatlinburg again.

I adore this shop! I ALWAYS stop in after our usual trip to the brewery next door and grab a few candles to take home. They smell amazing and the handmade soaps are great, too! My husband tries to get a bar of Egyptian Musk when he's with me.

The owner is an excellent salesman and offers a wide variety of candles, soaps, and other items. He is super knowledgeable about the candles and gave us a fun demonstration on how the candle wax can be used as lotion (it does not burn your skin!). It is a must see in Gaitlinburg! Will come back again if I am ever in the area.

Excellent shop for any delightful scent needs you may have! Have purchased both in person and through mail order. My wife and I love their products, and what's great is you can continue the same scent you like through candles, lotions, spray, and bath salts (among other items) for a cohesive theme, or switch it up if you prefer! The products work great with sensitive skin, and the owner is very personable as well!

My fiancee and I have gone here on 2 separate vacations and they were super friendly both times and the candles are top notch. We also learned that the candles can be used as lotion which is a cool bonus. Definitely recommend this place if you have a habitual candle buying problem like us.

My sister and I came upon this place by chance in October, we had to wait a LONG time for dinner but this place was a wonderful find ! The owner was working and couldn’t have been any more nicer , helpful or friendly, he even advised us which candles to get to save money, his spot in the shopping center is fairly hidden to me , I’ve been visiting for to many years to count and never knew it was there , we both bought 2 of the larger size candles and they were $14.99 get second half off , so whoever posted that Yankee candles are cheaper I’m in shock? I hope everyone will tell their friends and family about this place and order more and come again, the small business owners need our support!God Bless

I traveled to Gaitlinburg three years ago woth my mom and fell in love with this store. For almost a year I was getting a very weird rash on my arms and I’ve come to the conclusion that it was the body wash and soap I was trying. After I started using the soap from Smoky Mountain Dreams my rash cleared up completely and I’ve never used another brand of soap since. I order online and took another trip there this year. The individual running the store was genuine and very nice and talked about his sister making soap at a very young age and starting the store/company. Super friendly and kind people, and I love supporting this small business, it’s one of my favorite places and extremely valuable and memorable.
